Well that killed dinner.
The kitchen coolroom decided it was going to turn itself into an oven.
So guests get priority.
Oh well a nice self made ham sandwich will do then off to bed, early start in the morning.
Hopefully I will see you all tomorrow after lunch.

So for the Aussie guys...how are things going down there this year? Last year you were having all manner of natural disasters. Flooding in some parts, the "Big Dry" drought in the center and an an earthquake or two thrown in for good measure. Has Mother Nature been more kind to you this year? Is the drought letting up any?

Hiiiiii Paris ........ how is your mare treating u?

Hi, Kodie! The mare is treating me well. She's been a bery bery good girl. We've had a very nice spring and I am sooo happy winter is over. Too bad you are moving into that nasty season. Ok, I did giggle a little bit typing that. I bet I get a fish slap soon. hehe

The weather down here bounces from one extreme to another, if we are not in drought then we get flooded.
Even with the droughts, the floods, the bushfires, the dust storms & the politicians it is till a great country in which to live.

There's that famous, "FISH SLAP".

Happy weekend everyone.

Gary

Hi Gary,
Yes the famous, or should that be infamous, fish slap. I knew it wouldn't take long for it to come out, you just have to know which one of Kodie's buttons to push

Good evening everyone.

What a nice day to get out for a few hours. Went down to Olympia (WA state capital) to the Centennial train station for the National Train Day event today. Had a great time and bought a refrigerator magnet and a hat, both showing an old steam locomotive. After that went and had a late lunch then on to Yelm, WA to buy a couple of tomato plants and a couple of WAVE petunia plants.

All in all, a real nice day and a refreshing way to enjoy the low 70's weather.

Gary

Hey Ray, how's it going? I am really enjoying this nice extremely warm weather up here. I can't say much for the natives that are from here. They seem to complain if the temperature gets above 85 degrees. This is the start of my comfort zone, anything over 78 degrees on up to the low 100's. Nice dry heat. Just like the southern California desert.
Was quite surprised to see this thread pop up again. Any word from Kodie?
My Jon is in the hospital. He was taken in earlier this month with an anurism (not sure of the spelling). Well, he was rushed up to Seattle and had a stroke. The problem was at the brain stem, so they went in and done surgery to remove the blood clot. He was transferred down here to Tacoma where he is under going therapy. The stroke affected his entire left side, so he is working through that and looks like he will be discharged from the hospital on the 6th of August. He is staying with his mom. It is something that a stroke has no particular age to affect. Jon is only 22 yrs old. Will keep you all posted.
Nice to hear from you again Ray.

Gary

I'm so sorry to hear that Gary. Is Jon your son? I'll keep him in my thoughts. May he have a speedy recovery.
