Thank You Stowe. You da man. True Story. I met her.I went to a party with her. I was a baby. I danced with her.
She flirted with me. I was thrilled. She was friends ( fast friends) with my partner. She wore a long gold dress
almost like the one in the picture. She was preforming at a club in San Francisco. After the party we went
to breakfast 3am. I was so excited. Little gay boy could not wait to call my Mother. Great Memories.
Thanks Again. This Song and Her are the Best.xoxo

Oh so you did like pussy (cat) lol back then???

What a thrill that must have been. She was one classy lady. Nice for you to have that memory.

This may seem like a silly memory, but as a kid. I was a huge fan of The Dick Van Dyke Show, and I'll always remember the Christmas special on the Alan Brady Show, when Richie Petrie sings this song.

I was thinking about this song again and I see that I posted it last year at this time, and I researched it and see that the original telecast was on December 18, 1963, 52 years ago tomorrow, one of those memories of a lifetime for me.

And speaking of The Little Drummer Boy, I also always loved this unlikely duet between "hip rocker" David Bowie and "square crooner" Bing Crosby, and I see this was from the 1977 Bing Crosby Christmas special, a month before Bing died of a heart attack. Anther memory of a lifetime for me.

I've always loved this version!

Hi Tampa
Love the videos. My favorites unfortunately do not have videos with them. First my all time favorites are with Perry Como singing "One Small Child", "Oh Holy Night" and "What Child is This"

Hi Gardenboy,

I did find this one for you. :)

After Mariah there is Ertha doing Santa Baby...You see I am in too Deva's ..Any of you smart people want to post it?
Loved Bing and the Andrew Sisters.

Johnny - Great choice. Eartha's da bomb!! This song has been covered many times, but none of them can hold a candle to Eartha's original. So here it is:

I was out early this morning running a few errands. And our oldies station here runs exclusively Christmas music from Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve. As I was driving along up comes some hideous version of Santa Baby. And Johnny I thought of you as I screamed, "This song belongs only to Eartha"; "San Fran Johnny would be pissed if he heard it" - lol!!
Just thought I'd share, johnny.

The thing is we know. There will never be another.I find it sad that kids today will never know the real thing. With music and food.
We had some great music back in the day. They had words. A story in a song.
Making myself sound very old. But I am glad I got to hear good music got to eat some good food. Thanks for thinking of me.:smiley-love021:

Here's one where The U.S. Air Force band performs a flash mob performance for unsuspecting visitors at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. :)

Bravo! No, that did not bring a tear to my eyes, it brought several. As an Air Force Veteran I am so proud of the institution I once served in.

Thank you, Tampa, for posting this just as I was contemplating cancelling my subscription to this site.

Peace,
Louis

It is so ironic in that yesterday I was listening to a playlist of Christmas Music performed by the U. S. Air Force band and the Singing Sergeants. This one popped up and I loved it. I have posted it on a couple of other sites also.
