Classic BSB1 Nikolas & Alan 7/28/07

I hope no one thinks I disprespect anyone on here or anything that has been said. It is not shared in conversation with my friends as I think of it sort of like my fraternity days and word of ritual, brotherhood, the paedagogus (book of rules and rituals of the frat and initiation ritual), were all sworn to secrecy among brothers and I have never told a sole any of it. This is sort of sacred ground in the forums.

Ertas! :)

You've been holding out on us my brother. haha Not in the details of your personal life, but the breadth of your educational and intellectual background. I knew you were articulate and probably very well spoken in person. But I didn't know you could so freely write to that level. You remind me of a beloved former member of yesteryear affectionately known as Slim. Short for Slimvintage. I'm going to have to up my game with another scholar in our midst. lol

You're also correct about how many of the rest of us perceive the forums. It has felt like a bit of sacred space where we could share things the rest of straight society would frown upon. :)

I agree completely Stowe, and a lot of it was bad acting, but somehow my "willy" believed it was real and it got me excited in a way that the current stuff does not. However, I can believe that it was a first time experience for many of the BSB1 guys, and while the set-up was staged, some of their on camera reactions to the sex, getting sucked or fucking a dude for the first time was real. And the look of amazement on some of their faces as the pleasure overtook their bodies sure seemed real to me. When in the throes of pleasure, it is hard to act and just just react.

Agreed Mikey. Even though most of us knew we were being played to some degree, we were always left guessing as to how far. Where was the line between the truth and the fantasy of how straight the models were? How much experience with gay sex did they really have? Were they really virgins to gay sex? Many times we could allow ourselves to believe they were. Or at least we could keep the fantasy going until the happy ending. haha :)

Found out I really love to write. He told me just say what you feel. People will get it.

Dearest Johnny,

You may struggle at times with your writing but people always understand what you're saying. You always contribute by adding your voice and your views to the conversation. I for one really appreciate the honesty of the human condition you convey to us in here. You may not often be loquacious in your posts... Yet your insights and opinions on various topics are often quite sagacious.

Wow ertas. One of the Greatest regrets in my life was my education Never any hang ups about being Gay. Born in San Francisco gay and out at 16.
Many many men. Partners and pals. Drugs alcohol party party party. Cost allot to have fun.
Had the greatest parents I was gay and they new it. Never a problem. One big party till AIDS hit.I outlived all the people I loved. Family included.
So the last 30 years been rough. But I still partied and lots of sex. BUT didn't save my money. My big mistake.
But the biggest regret has been my education all I wanted to do is have fun and sex.
Didn't really think about my education till I joined Broke Straight Boys.Funny huh. I'm a hairdresser didn't need to be that brilliant
Do good hair. Be street smart and entertain. All of a sudden on Broke Straight Boys there were all these people that really could write.
I was so embarrassed to write anything. I was pretty lol. But I didn't know how to spell.
Still have trouble with my 2s.lol But found a great teacher and Friend on the Forum who helped me out. And spellcheck.
Found out I really love to write. He told me just say what you feel. People will get it.
So this whole little story ertas is just to say you are a Great writer. Even if you are (loquacious) Love that word can't wait to Google it.
So keep writing. I think that is such a wonderful gift. So many of you on the Forum have. Got to look up loquacious now.xo I call these my Silly Johnny Posts.....:clown: I regret them sometimes, but they pass quick...

Johnny,

I wanted to read through the continuation of discussion I thought I may have rudely interrupted. I see I did not and for that I am greatful. Now you have two new terms that have, no doubt, always described you: loquacious and sagacious! I understand you stating you have some regret about not throwing yourself into your education. You are probably one of those students who was (is) truly bright and the stolid education system into which you were immersed did not meet your needs for being challenged. That still happens. So, if you don't feel you "write" well, "fo - get aboud it!" - You express yourself clearly, distictly decisively, and in few words get out more than someone like me would do in a pamphlet! Hold your head high. Only bar tenders require the ability to read the character of one's clients and discern how to converse with them to make them feel comfortable, attended to, entertained, listened to, and appreciated as much as does a hairdresser. I have three friends in the business (one who traveled with Cher to maintain her wigs!) Some of my best buds because that is what I admire most about them. "Cut to the chase and tell it like it is" - round pegs in the round holes (glorious, no?) and square pegs in the square holes types of persons who are so open and such good listeners my life would suffer a void without them. So, I can write some - yeah, I had a 9th grade English teacher who hated me because the first week I argued the meaning of an Emily Dickenson poem in front of her in class. She threw me out. That night I went home and wrote out my logic for explaining it as I did - despite what generations of authors agreed was her intent. I had the office secretary put it in her mailbox for her to get when she arrived for the day. I wrote it badly but she understood it, called me in after school and told me she wanted to work with me to be prepared for "the world". I was already in my 3rd year of Latin but she taught me Greek as command of those two languages (which provides the "root" to every English word) gives you command of the language. She also taught me how the language works in both the written and spoken usages. She taught me how to diagram sentences and she taught me "if this, then this" - basic logic skills. She knew I was young and she wanted me to have every advantage when I went off to college at age 16. (I was a precocious child which led to my going through 1st and 2nd grade in one year (first grade teacher hated me) and 7th and 8th grade in one year, too. Plus I started when I was four because I learned to read when I was three and those early classes would bore me.) But, in reality, I can be a real bore. I've been known to be the life of the party but in business, teaching and leadership areas, I am a pretty focused, no bullshit tolerated boss.

So, I say it is all in the choices we make or that were made for us. I knew I was gay by year 10. I tried to tell my parents I didn't much like girls, rather guys. Though fairly intelligent, I did not know how to express myself - I'd never heard of "gay". I'd only heard my father and his hunting buddies talk disparagingly about guys they'd served with during WW II and in their intramural games who were "different" I knew because they referred to them as "fops". I knew that wasn't a respectable thing to be and thought it might be guys who, like me, liked guys. I was home from the university the summer before my Junior year - 17 and turning 18 at the end of October. My father insisted I go fishing with him the next morning. I'd already committed to sailing in a regatta challenge but he insisted. The most patient fisherman I've ever known, he kept throwing his line out and reeling it in - over and over. I finally asked him what was up. After hemming and hahwing he finally asked, "Are you one of those homosexuals?" I was floored! Of course I was - but not to him. I said no and asked why he inquired. Longer story short, he was relieved. I was married and a father within one year!

So, you have lived your life as you opted. God, Johnny - who could ask for more? I am shades of green. But, I do love my kids and grandkids. I only lament the fact that my years of being a well-built, pretty hunky dude, were dedicated to carrying out a life of deceit and hurt for many, ultimately. But, water under the bridge, right? All in all, I am pretty content. You be too, OK? You've much of which to be proud!

I am glad that you didn’t object to my invasion of your discussion here drawing comparisons from the past to the present to each as individuals. Every one of you acknowledges you have not dissimilar personal taste in what you find sexy, erotic and stimulating.

To me, that just proves that the formula developed by Mark and the others who conceived of and built Broke Straight Boys were/are brilliant! They created a fantasy-seeker’s paradise. And as things changed – so did paradise. They morphed – but I believe the initially conceived plan remains intact.

Just think about this: There are 10 of you tried and true members/subscribing forumites – all with varying tastes and somehow Broke Straight Boys has delivered to you! (sometimes with greater results than the next or previous scene, but you know more will come)

Now, multiply You-10 by what? 100? 1000? 100,000? 1,000,000? 10,000,000 – and, you are dealing with very diverse plethora expectations for libido satisfaction. 2016 brings to close a decade of excellent delivery and will initiate a second decade of continued service on a global audience level. The formula or concept remains the same – it has simply been adjusted to meet demands of subscribers of what I gather you refer to as BSB2.

And you know what I think is cool? My observations from your posts shows you all acknowledge that change has been/is necessary to fulfil that demand. Sometimes you have to work a bit around the edges of a scene to find it “worthy of expectations or wishes”. Sometimes it just doesn’t “cut it” in the old style for you. Yet, you stay loyal to Broke Straight Boys as Broke Straight Boys is trying to be to you and to millions of other clients.

I say BRAVO to you and to Broke Straight Boys; and, I look forward to every model, model paring, and upcoming resulting scene being delivered over high-def internet lines for our individual, selective pleasure (which, of course, will be discussed and deliberated from individual perspectives here on the forum!}.

Thanks for your kindness and I look forward to “hearing” your thoughts for ages to come!

I know that Johnny holds you in high regard ertas, and I hope that once and for all, he will believe me that he writes very well and we always know exactly what he is saying and he has a wonderful sardonic, often self deprecating sense of humor as well. Keep on doing what your're doing here Johnny. You are a staple and a gem on the Broke Straight Boys forum. :thumbup1::smiley-love021:

Great post Tom!

We still have scenes where straight boys do gay stuff for money. I really don't think things have changed totally.

So, I submit...things may not have changed as much as we may feel they have. Watch out for those feelings...they will trick us every time.

Robb

I really share your thoughts here as, I've mentioned the very same thing( from my perspective )many times! The presentation, the models, the people producing the work....the different styles and most of all, our own perceptions of a scene, don't let me forget, the different tastes in model types too! I feel all of these elements are what may be different. I still enjoy the current work just as much, but I do acknowledge, when I watch a scene from the past, compared to a scene from the present, I get a different feeling; visceral, perceptual or anticipatory ....etc.. based on the models and the presentation......for me, it's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just a Different thing:biggrin:

Since I love analogies, here's another one:

When I think of a song that I really like for example: "I will Always love you" originally by Dolly Parton. Some how, I fell in Love with the same song all over again when Whitney Houston did it in the movie "The Body Guard". Same song, lyrics but, the emotional connection associated with the movie and the words gave the song a different sort of appreciation for me. To this day, I love the version of Whitney more, but I originally liked the song when Dolly sang it. I think for some, the original presentation connects them differently.

I am blown away by all the well thought out posts in this thread. It just screams to me that we ALL love our Broke Straight Boys

Porn (as love) in in the eye of the beholder. What interests me may not interest others.

Thanks, Mike, for creating this very interesting thread. And thanks to all the posters for sharing your thoughts. I really learned a lot here.

Now I have to go find out what "sagacious" means. Tom, keep those long ass posts of yours coming. Johnny and I are learning from you.

Love,

Robb

And I for one. Really had Fun...Thanks everybody..xo

Liked it but my tastes are for older guys. Experienced straight guys who need the money to do gay sex is more my interest

Thanks, Peter! How in the heck did miss your posts to include your name in my list of elite forumites? My most humble apologies (but I was writing that late in the dark sitting out on my lanai celebrating the fact that Erika fell apart and didn't slam into us as predicted.) I typed only by the aura of the lit keyboard and guess I was not thorough enough - which I generally am! But, considered yourself on that post - you are one I read consistently so that makes me even more perplexed about missing you!

I'll let you know when I'm over being pissed at you!!! lol Do you know how to set an avatar of a model to your name? If not go to the introduction page and look for the thread that says just that...

another1?? Didn't Ian do a DP recently? I am lazy or not a big Ian fan.So just thought it be easier asking you. Keeper of all the important stuff.
I need to do laundry so I can go back and check when things are in the dryer. And life go's on.lol

I am in AGREEMENT WHOLEHEARTEDLY, Young. As of late, it has been monotonous seeing mostly the same things, with the same models circulated. MIGHT I ALSO ADD, (referring to the part I highlighted), these guys are 'supposed to be BROKE, and IN NEED OF CASH', thus (the PRIMARY reason/premise for doing this), which has seemed (to ME, at least). to have been lost?

Just my thoughts.

I actually miss these kind of scenes as well. I loved the idea of two straight guys trying to suck each other and kiss and try stuff for the first time. Also I would like to see more scenes of a experienced model working over a new guy. For example the most recent one of Justin and Antonio because I feel like it really opens up the model.
