Holy Shit, do any of you watch this show?! The scale of the show really caught my eye and the story line is very interesting; pirates and their visceral ways. Up until this past Saturday, I thought I knew what was going on...wrong! This original series is on STARZ and well worth a look. Here is season 1's review; it is now into season 2.

Damn when I added heretv I got rid of hbo, showtime starz because I never watched them bummer!!

Hi Beth,
I've been watching this since it started last year. It's one of my favorite shows! I was pleasantly surprised (understatement) by Zach McGowan's... um... "ample" (another understatement) showing last season. And this last episode's twist was a a nice bonus.

I can't say I was completely surprised. I was catching hints in the first few episodes, but I wasn't sure they'd actually take the story that way. Given the time period, it could have been simple loyalty - but I like this direction. }:->

Well, you're better (equipped) at seeing these twists than I...life.:w00t: Apparently everything was in the plot from the beginning. I do love the show; it really gets in there and gets dirty and raw...delicious!

I have tried to watch the show but it doesn't do anything for me. I don't think Starz knows how to do an episodic show if their lives depended on it.

I hated the one about Da Vinci and the show about a young basketball player fell flat quickly. I liked the start of Missing but that quickly went to the world of red herrings and improbable writing.

Showtime and HBO are still the best (although HBO needs to get their act together). Shameless and Episodes are my favorites and I am looking forward to Westworld and loved Leftovers.

How about SHO's "Masters of Sex," "Nurse Jackie," "Penny Dreadful," "Ray Donovan.," As well as HBO's "Game of Thrones," "Looking," "True Detectives?" Shit, I'm a TV-aholic...life. And "Banshee" on CineMax...good stuff.
I am definitely a "Shameless" fan and can't wait to see how Carl and Chucky fair in an, "educational system you can't even buy."

I do like Showtime especially Shameless and Penny Dreadful. I also can't wait to see what Carl does in juvie!

Twin Peaks is also in the works and this is the final season of Nurse Jackie. I sure hope she gets her shit together!

I have heard some good things about Banshee and will start watching it. I also need to watch the entire season of True Detective before the second season starts. (I know, the second season will have all new actors and a different storyline but still).

As for Starz, they have a long way to go before they churn out quality shows. I will give the Black Sails a try once more. Sometimes it takes a while for a show to find its mojo.
