I was thinking about updating my avatar for a new look. As I was scrolling through the model options I noticed
that my current (and longtime) avatar of Tank Shane is no longer available. Well I'll just assume that Mark decided
to retire that one so nobody but me can have it!!! lololol Thanks Mark and I won't be changing it....

Your Tank Shane avatar is still there in Misc. Models - Top row, 4th from left.

Also there is a Tank Shane avatar in the I Love grouping - Last row, third from left.

10/16 at 7:56 pm edt - what has happened to all avatars. They are all gone and no listing for them in profile section.

Unfortunately with new Visa/Mastercard regulations we had to remove the avatars. It is ridiculous and I'm not happy about it. We should be able to do avatars again but they may be ones that are pre-made with models but we shall see. For now we are just going to remove them completely so we dont get flagged.

Let me know in the future if I can help create new avatars for any of the new models.

Hi Mark,

I get the new regulations and so on, even if we ( and yourself included) either don't like or don't agree with them. Or both. I realize it's much easier with the stroke of a few keys to just delete all of them from thousands of current and past members, than it is to pay someone to spend hours and hours to sift through each and every account from 2008 onwards to distinguish the deletetion of avatar photos of actual members' images, models' images and so on. But would it be possible in the meantime if we current mebers going forward (for now at least) could install some avatar pics that show images of inamimate objects with no faces? Such as Mikey's NYY's logo, or a photo of a beach without people, a pretty mountain or a sunset? Things like that?

Could you explain please Mark? Our avatars can only be scene when a registered member logs onto the forum. You seem to have no problem with explicit pics within the forum, so what is the difference? It actually doesn’t really matter to me as my avatar is as PG as it gets and in fact 99% of all avatars are. Buy I am curious as to why they were removed and why the subject matter is an issue on a private portion of the forum where we have to register to participate?

Very cool!!! To be honest for the most part I only recognized other members because of their avatars lololol
