Website speed problems today?

As I was watching the Nelson and Gino scene last night, it kept stopping to buffer, then it would play and then stop to buffer again.
Haven't tried to watch anything yet tonight.

That has happened to me several times before.

This is how I fix it most of the time.I just log out and run Internet Options and select delete temp history and cookies. Then I log back in and I get a full download without interuptions. Sometimes what happens is those temproary files and cookies take up memory. It usually isn't a lot of memory but as a friend of mine told me, those cookies and files can show up as speed bumps in the road when trying to down load music or video.

If that does not work I just log off and run one of three scans. Those scans detect trojans, worms, tracking cookies, and virus signatures. Anything shows up I run a delete and repair session. Suddenly it is full speed ahead.

I have never picked up any tracking cookies from Broke Straight Boys or Straight Boys Jerk Off However, I have on the bonus sites occasionally. But most of those sites require us to accept cookeis to get video. I have never received anything harmful but as I said earlier on sometimes those things can act as speed bumps. (I don't totally understand it. But my best friend is a server tech for the company I work for and that was how they explained it to me.)

Another thing that happens from time to time is traffic over flow in the shared band width that is provided by the ISP. (Kind of like coming home in rush hour bumper to bumper trafic.) For example I use cable and I am supposed to get up to 15 mbps. However, that band width is shareed with all of the other users in a certain geographic location. For the most part I can pull at that speed. Other times of the day when there are a lot of internet users on line it can slow down to 3 mbps per second or less. Because of the shared band width... Currently, I am connected to my ISP at 100 mbps. That is what I am connected at not the speed send and or receive at.

As far as I now the only other thing that could present a problem would be the bandwidth on the server. However, most Porn sites have a dedicated server with a terabyte or more in band width.

I guess some of this might be better explained by computer tech's but I explained what I have been told to the best of my ability.

Gary, you are obviously streaming. If you get this issue then try and download and observe the transfer rate. If the transfer rate is good then there is a problem with the streaming, which I found that was happening about this time last week.

If the transfer rate is poor then do what Jayman says or wait for a less busier time. If this fails then try another site and if it's still poor report to your ISP x

Jayman, I am to on cable. Our ISP is Comcast, though all of my email is through Hotmail.
For some reason, I refuse to use Internet Explorer. I just don't like it. I use Mozilla Firefox as my search engine.

I use both. Mozilla is perhaps the most secure with the least amount of headaches. However, there are a lot of web sites that only IE will ope for some reason...
