I have been thinking what makes the Forum special for me. Above all else making friends, These include KG, Tampa, Mike and I want that to include more. I am bad at remembering names but of course Mark comes to mind Jay. models like Adam, Legend, Chac, Jay , Peter. Please forgive me if I have missed anyone. Then there is this, a haven from the horrors of our world and I could go on but will stop here. Thank you all for allowing me the comfort of a place I can be.

I'm glad you feel that way Br. I've always found the escapism of this forum to be a real treat. Plus the people I have met in here have become quite special to me as well.

I'm sorry I've been away for so long. During the course of my nearly two week vacation with some family members, we came down with one of those really nasty flus going around right now. We tested negative for Covid but we've still been reeling from it. One of us was told at the ER that it is either the flu, or an adult affliction of RSV that's been running rampant among the country's children lately. I've had the least amount of symptoms and the least severity of the three of us, but it's still been kicking my butt with the fatigue.

I was also the only one of us who had gotten the flu shot this year. So I think there's a lesson in there. I got my flu shot in August and I know there are lots of people who swear you should wait until October (or even December) so that the vaccine might be at its strongest effect during the "usual" flu peaks from January onward. Well, this year I got the flu in early October. So while yes, I still got the flu anyway... I'm glad I didn't wait longer. I'm convinced from looking at my relatives who became feverish and incontinent and lost both bladder and bowel control with gastro-intestinal issues (that I didn't get) that I would be much worse off without having had the flu shot. Maybe even hospitalized. So surprise! Flu season has started very early this year. And the strains are pretty bad.

So anyhoo... I'm glad to be back. I've missed all of you. The sucky part about being away so long is trying to go backwards and catch up on the latest happenings. lol

I'm also really looking forward to that new update with Justin. He's my boyfriend. Though he may not know it yet. haha

I don't know what the latest dust-up is about yet. And I hope that whatever it was about, that it passes like a summer storm before the sun comes out yet again. I still love our Jay. And I hope he stays around for a good long time.

Got it all squared away. Don't need to be embarrassed at all. The people you talk to do this for porn sites all day long so it is their job, they are so used to it. Plus keep in mind it's Broke Straight Boys but their is WAY worse names. At least you aren't with Kung Pow Pussy, My Moms Fucking Blackzilla or Dumpster Sluts.

We all missed you Tampa. As to Covid ,my youngest who has had a terrible year losing his life partner & having a disabling disease. He had all the shots & boosters & still came down with Covid, aside from the fever. He said it was like the worse flu he ever had. Fortunately he is better, back to dealing with his other shit.

Unfortunately it does. And particularly when we write stuff in emails or even on a forum such as ours. When using the written word without voice inflections, words can easily be misinterpreted. I’m sorry for you br.

Yes. I know what you guys mean. My personality and sense of humor relies heavily on my own sense of sarcasm. As with all of us some of our senses of humor are an acquired taste, or otherwise take a while for others to get used to. Therefore my own version of humor does not always easily translate well into written letters, text messaging and posting. I have to be very careful in how I phrase things. Sometimes I find myself having to set up my sarcastic punchlines with one or more antecendant or subsequent sentences just to frame them properly as a playful tease or jest. Because if you catch the person at the wrong time, or in just a certain frame of mind... They can sometimes take playful sarcasm as an insult or a great offense. Like it's an accusation or a believed statement of fact on your part. Or as an attempt to belittle or make light of something that you know (or should know) is really bothering them.

Without the voice inflection, the proper in-person delivery and timing, the smile, the facial expression, sometimes the look of concern, the eye contact, etc... The written word alone is full of all kinds of social pitfalls.

Since my disability started 30 years ago, all my friendships & interactions , even with family, have been on line & the phone. So there is no other option for me & I am not gifted with got vocal (writing) skills. So shit happens!
