Songs I associate with BSB forum members

Tampa is kind of a bridge builder...

For Grace

I choose the theme song from the movie Bright Eyes.

Robert - I was looking at exactly the same video this morning for Mikey in light of recent "battles" lol
Thanks again Jon, and thank you Robert for posting this wonderful rendition of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite groups ever the marvelous, talented and always poignant Simon and Garfunkle, and the fact that this clip comes from the live performance in Central Park from the free reunion concert back in 1981.

I so wanted to attend but it was on a work day and the crowds lined up early in the day to get a spot where they could see the show.

And this song has another meaning for me, as the album version was released while I was in college and I had the biggest crush on my straight Irish friend John C., and I always took the lyrics to heart that while he didn't understand the depth of the unrequited love that I felt for him, I loved him so deeply that I would always be there for him to ease any pain in his life.

I'm on your side
When times get rough
And friends just can't be found
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

When you're down and out
When you're on the street
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you

I'll take your part
When darkness comes
And pain is all around

Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down

Robert beat me to the punch, but I want to dedicate two America songs to my forum "bestie", Ms. K who has been absent from the forum much long.

I want to dedicate a song to another of my forum besties, my wonderful sweet Buckeye friend Robb, from Southern Ohio, but the only song I could think of is this wonderful classic by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, but it is unfortunately a tragic song that has nothing to do with one of the kindest people I've ever had the privilege to know, sweet lovely Robb.

This one is for Erikthbod...best line, two actually, 'I aint gonna be another face in the crowd' and 'Like Frankie said I did it my way'

Thanks Grace,
I have always loved Bon Jovi (yep I would do that in a heart beat) That song fits me more than you will ever know. I went through a really rough time in my life .... and I have reclaimed my life. Today I live it one day at a time. So yep, that fits.
Thanks again Grace.

A song for Buckeye... that's easy...

I would love nothing better than to attend a wedding for Robb & Robert. The two of you are both first class guys, whom I admire and respect, perhaps more than either of you realize.

PS Thank you Jon for a wonderful thought provoking thread, as the forum is why I am still here and you and Robert, Grace and Tampa all participating on this thread, keeping the forum stimulating and a great way to connect with my world wide, mostly never to be met in person friends.

Well there is still a minor problem... Buckeye resists my wedding plans with a determination that makes one wonder!

Yes I was thinking of that this morning but I could have gone on and on and I had lots of chores to do. Ohio has once again been in the public attention with more mass murderers being found, where's the next one I bet the people are saying.
