Ronan Kennedy update and question

I just saw this picture of Ronan Kennedy on Twitter. It looks like he may have had some kind of chest surgery but the message with the picture is just a literary quote that doesn’t say anything about the picture. Does anyone know anything about this? He looks good except for the fresh scars. There are a couple of other scars that could be chest tubes.

It looks like it was/is pretty serious. I can certainly see why he might figure that his porn career is over, as Sha or someone else on the Broke Straight Boys staff seemed to indicate a while back.

Speaking for myself as a diehard fan, I would not be opposed at all to seeing him come back to the film in the future. That's assuming of course that he wanted to come back in the first place. While it should go without saying, I'm advocating that he might reconsider the decision to return to filming only after he has completely healed physically and emotionally from what was/is quite obviously a very serious health issue. His scars bother me not at all from an aesthetic standpoint. In my mind's eye he is still the beautiful handsome man and wonderful person he has always been.

Particularly the young both assume and underestimate the importance of good health. I wish the best recovery for him, and youthful recoveries tend to be quick.

That is a serious incision and while not quite long enough or nasty enough to be open heart surgery [at least as it was done 10 years ago, it was something serious. I hope he is on his way to a full recovery and I wish all the best for him no matter waht happens insofar as his porn career. Scars do not bother me like they might some others but I know often the bearer of the scar feel self conscious about it as well.

That is a serious incision and while not quite long enough or nasty enough to be open heart surgery [at least as it was done 10 years ago, it was something serious. I hope he is on his way to a full recovery and I wish all the best for him no matter waht happens insofar as his porn career. His scar looks a lot larger than Brian Littrell's open heart surgery scar.

I had to re-post, as I have been thinking about this thread, and the great majority of the posts are coming across as TOTALLY SUPERFICIAL to me. Do you think Ronan Kennedy WANTED to have that scar-(for WHATEVER REASON)- KNOWING HOW RUTHLESS AND SUPERFICIAL the adult film industry, AND ITS AUDIENCE, is? I am NOT GQ to say the least-which brings me to the point I was making at the beginning of this post: we are just to FORGET Ronan Kennedy, point out his 'faults', because he had some MEDICALLY NECESSARY procedure(s)? Why hasnt it been pointed out when Zach is/is not wearing his glasses?

I wouldn't be surprised if this wasn't open-heart surgery of some sort. It's not only the scar but the bumps on his sternum that look like where it may have been rejoined. I think is was brave of him to post this picture. Having worked in health care for 14 years, there are psychological issues as well as physical ones with this type of surgery and I wouldn't be surprised of those aren't magnified by his youth. These are the types of issues that older people are supposed to deal with. I would never discount anything Ronan Kennedy feels right now and hope that with time he will feel comfortable with himself again. This may or may not be the reason he says that he is retired from porn but whatever the reason, I'm glad to see that he's doing what he needs to do and wish him well. I wonder if he would be agreeable to receiving well wishes from the fans of Broke Straight Boys (not individually but through management) just to say we are glad he's doing well?

I just read his Go Fund Me page. OMG!

My heart is breaking for him. I've never seriously considered donating to the GFM pages. Not because the stories or the needs weren't/aren't compelling, but because I'm on a very limited budget myself. For Ronan Kennedy though I have no qualms about donating at least something that might hopefully help him out and stave off homelessness. As well as hopefully ease his mind about the financial pressures and save him even more emotional despair. Johnny's right that even most of us who are not well off financially ourselves could still probably part with $20 or so. For those of us in the Broke Straight Boys family here who can afford to do more...I can only ask (for Ronan Kennedy's sake) that you please give it some consideration.

OMG! How horrible! I sure hope he is ok. It sounds like he doesn’t have the support of his family. I hope his Broke Straight Boys family who have really enjoyed him on here will step up. I know he has posted about his dog. My boyfriends dog saved his life once when he was suicidal. I’m going to make a donation also. Please keep us updated if anyone hears more news.

He didn’t say anything on his BSB Twitter account under Ronan Kennedy I can’t find a twitter account for him under his real name or face book or anything. I agree StudddAndy............I found it hard to believe that the picture was recent of Ronan Kennedy..........It just doesn't look like him the last time he was here on this site. Granted, the tatoo's do look the same, but there is something different about the body and face..........It doesn't pass the smell test for me.
