Many of you may know that I live near Atlanta, because I am originally from Georgia. However, I still consider Orlando my home. Today I pray for the families that are missing their loved ones. Today we remember.

I didn’t realize it was the anniversary. Thanks for posting. Especially in these turbulent times. We must remember.

My mother and only sister lives in Sanford and a brother is in Okeechobee, my siblings and I are scattered throughout the USA and Germany, but it affected us all. I felt sick to my stomach and my heart ached and brought back fond memories of my friends and I enjoying our youth in the various gay Disco's of Philadelphia, NYC, Baltimore, D./C. and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Even one life is too much to lose! God's Blessings to all.

It's great to see you posting HRNDG.

I will never forgot that night or Pulse. I used to go to Pulse and just loved the people, energy and everything. Such a horrible senseless tragedy may everyone RIP.

What an awful weekend and following week that was. Let us remember those we lost.

It was a horrendous tragedy and one that will be with us for a very long time. The thing that makes this anniversary even worse is a group of homophobic ministers is having a hate fest in Orlando starting tomorrow, calling for people to condemn homosexuals and praising the murders as proper reward for gay sinners. Steven Anderson is among the ministers involved. He is one of those ministers known for his sermons calling for death to homosexuals. He has also been banned from entering Ireland and Australia for his views.

People's attitudes about homosexuality sometimes reminds me not to attribute malice to what is really just stupidity and ignorance. Its hard to imagine that people are REALLY that stupid or ignorant, but damn, just stand by and watch.

I mean, you have to put a lot of effort into being that stupid or ignorant

That’s just sick. These ministers know nothing about the loving ministry of Christ.

Thank you Juanjo and StuddAndy.

For many of these ministers who pride themselves on being so intelligent and nearly 100% right about their views on the world they see around them... And who often see themselves as better practicing Christians than most... They sure know how to make complete fools of themselves with their Neanderthal-like level of IQ, ignorance and lack of spiritual evolution. Sometimes they put on quite a spectacle and show of the greatest hits of the village idiots. They're not even remotely concerned or aware that in the long arc of history that they themselves will be seen as the butt of the jokes and the object of scorn.

Christ tells us to pray for our enemies. Given that advice, I'd say that we would probably be encouraged by Holy Spirit to also pray for those who are hurting others due to their own ignorance. Many of these people would appear to qualify on just about every level. Rather than taking the easy path and just wishing them ill...that they go to hell, etc..they need a lot of prayer.

Very sad anniversary, as to those fundamentalist homophobic ministers, compare and contrast why they say with the loving words of Jesus in the gospels. I thought that I saw, when Matthew Shepard was executed, a resemblence between his last moments on earth to the crucifiction of Jesus Christ. So yes I agree, there will be a special place in hell for those homophobic right wing ministers, who defy the express words of Jesus Christ. And I'm not being exclusively Christian here, as former Senator Al Franken once remarked that his rabbi told him that there is nothing in the biblical words of Jesus Christ that is not completely consistent with the fundementals of the Jewish faith.

May Asmodeus welcome these hateful right-wing homophobic fucktards to hell and sodomize them for eternity with a barbed prick using beach sand for lube. Their hate has trebled and I'm very worried. It's gonna be rough ride to stay safe out there 😔
