No problem I took no offense. Yes this is my website but it is also the members site and I do care what you guys like and want with this website. The ratings system I added long ago and many other things so we could track what is popular. There was a time long ago where we had no idea what was popular or what anyone liked. That is why I added ratings, hit counts the message board etc. Thanks for being a member of the site and please know your opinion does matter.

Thank you Mark for your direct response to my question. As a long time member, I am actually surprised that the ratings do matter so much to you, as over the years, the highest rated scenes do not always reflect the models or type of scenes that are often featured here.

The highest rated scenes are often not my favorite type of scenes, as I enjoy very real, typical straight type guys that I encounter who are not likely to kiss or want to receive anal sex, and those seem to be the type of scenes that receive the high grades.

I am still curious as to what percentage of overall membership do vote on the scenes. My belief is that the average member watches the scene, jerks off, and shuts off the computer to clean up, and doesn't take the time to vote.

I just hope that you continue to feature all kinds of guys who fit into the parameters of "Broke Straight Boys", as I can't believe that I am the only member here who enjoys a kid with a bit of a cocky attitude, kind of like Dakota, who I found very hot, but received low ratings and negative comments on the forum.

But again I do appreciate your answering my question.

Jimmy is no longer with Broke Straight Boys so that is not really a good example. Some of these guys are under contract so we give what we promise them. Sometimes it is a lot more complicated than just we are going to stop shooting this model.

I also thank you Mark, for finally making a statement about Jimmy. I do recall that last summer you commented that you had met Jimmy personally, and were working on a new project with him, and that you found him to be a really nice guy. But obviously your business relationship with Jimmy has ended.

I always appreciate getting some inside information regarding what really goes on at Broke Straight Boys, as I devote so much of my leisure time to this site and the forum.

The reason why we also want you guys to vote, is usually when someone is very dissatisfied, they are more inclined to talk about it or rate in a negative way.

Example.... When you go to a restaurant, and horrible food, and horrible services, you are inclined more to tell people that it was a bad place, but when you have a good experience, usually you don't say anything.. Bad news travels faster than good news.

why bring back a contestant the crowd doesn't like?
being able to rate a model combined with the short turnaround time between production and release should make viewing experience better.

Just like you guys making me grin cheek to cheek everytime I log on, there are those members out there who could give a fuck of what I have to say. I'm cool with that. Some will like me some will not. so we have to make sure that we have models for everyone's preference, even if it is a really small percentage that liked jimmy, but every member on this site is equal, so if one model is a fan favorite for a few members, mark wants to make sure that those members stay loyal to us and we want to give everyone a chance to have a favorite model and video.

I am so pleased to read you say that Blake, as that is what I've been saying for a long time.

I don't expect or want for every model on the site to be a perfect "10" in my book, as I know that some of the fan favorites are a "0" in my book. We get three updates every week for approximately a dozen per month. I am content to get even a small percentage of my kind of guys here every month.

Yes Jimmy did have his supporters, (myself perhaps at the head of the class), particularly before he was featured too often. But I do love Broke Straight Boys, and want to see it remain successful, and I appreciate Mark trying to keep all of his customers satisfied at least some of the time.

i thought that out of the 13 release dates each month, 3 scenes could feature a you can get me off straight boy. (rough trade).
the other 10 dates could be less obvious as to what will happen and to whom. i lean toward the less predictable. toward the more flexible.

Ideas for models improving videos

One thing that I have noticed is that it seems that all cum shots and ejaculations are done on the bottom's back while the top ejaculates upright while on knees. I think it would be great to have bottom on hands and knees with rump facing camera while top milks him into container to measure amount. Then a flipflop could occur while bottom milked top. This would probably eliminate seeing if a model was an oozer or a squirter but in many of the videos, if the top is a squirter, you often don't see it unless there is a repeat closeup. I think some milking sceneswould add some interest.

if you go to episodes on the band across the top of the page, choose an episode, on the episode page you will see something that says, cast your vote. one star to five stars.
if you go to boys on the band across the top of the page, choose a boy, on the boy's page you will see something that says, cast yor vote. one star to five stars.

if by the words, how to vote, you mean what decision you should take, then i can offer no help at all.
