Members favourite music

I play six string and Bass guitar, but my favorite bands/artists span a very wide mucial spectrum. I love Grunge, Post/Grunge, Hard Rock/Metal, Techno, Dance, and yes...even Classical. Really like Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ace Frehely (Kiss origanal Lead Guitarist), KISS, SilverChair, Sex Pistols, Marilyn Manson, Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Nirvana, and REM...The list goes on, but these would be my favotites who I listen to regualarly.

When the nephew visited me a while ago, he showed me this song which his girlfriend likes. I really liked it and though it was very creative. Using a recorder to record and loop the claping of hands, the snapping of fingers and ones voice for a song. I just thought it was amazing how throughout the entire song, the music just kept building and building while being able to recognize each part.

Imogen Heap - Just for now

Pooh -

I'm sure it's the Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley influence on a lot of the music I like. One of my favorite artists since high school is Bob Seger. I only have his live CDs since I think he's one of the few artist who I like live rather than studio recorded. You can hear the influence from the '50s, but it's just rocked up a bit. This is Bob's tribute to Bo Diddley:

Wow thomas bob seger is good thanks

Pooh - Glad you enjoyed it...if you have a chance, pick up his live CDs. The one he did in '76 was Live Bullet and then one in '80 is call Nine Tonight. You'd be amazed at how many songs of his you may recognize....sort of, oh yeah, that song, Bob Seger did that one too?!?

His most recognizable song is Old Time Rock & Roll, but also he did a couple of slow songs like We've Got Tonight and Turn the Page. I'm tempted to just list the songs off of the CDs, but that would be a bit tedious, though I'm sure you would recognize many of the songs. I guess I'll leave you with two more songs off of the Live Bullet College Dudes which I really enjoy both the music and words - Travelin' Man and Beautiful Loser. I guess since High School, I've always thought of myself as a Beautiful Loser though I've wanted to be a Travelin' Man.....enjoy!

It's the boy at 1.10 that I thought might be like you. The Jim Carrey type. Sebastien is hot too, but for some reason the other one...

That would be David, the American. Nah, I don't look like him.

I have all 4 of their CDs. Some of their songs actually bring a tear to my eye. Those voices are wonderful!

Another thing I've noticed. They all have big feet!

Nope. I don't look like anyone you know. LOL! Ok, I don't know everyone you know. This past summer my GF told me her co-worker was dating a guy that looked just like me. I met him at a party and we were both told we looked alike! I was appalled, and he looked confused! LMFAO!!!

Slim and Paris - I really wanted to join in when you had posted some of the 'classical' links. I was attempting to find something I had which fit in, and the only one I really had and liked was 'You will though your arms around me' sung by The Ten Tenors, but I couldn't find it on youtube. Drat!!! This is the best of what I could find, but when The Ten Tenors performed, it was acapella (sp). I really enjoy the words to this song. I hope sometime you get to hear The Ten Tenors version:

As for Marilyn, I never 'got into him', so to speak. Remember, I've been out of listening to new music for the past 20. The only hard rock band I've really liked was AC/DC (boy, do you think there could be some hidden meaning?!?) Anyway, the most dirty song I can think they made was 'The Jack':

Of course, if you just want to have fun, this one is always a winner for everyone - Big Balls:
