Jimmy and Bradley

Jimmy is to porn as Tim Tebow is to football. First Round Draft pick out of his element.

Great forum name. Please tell me I'm not wrong in having guessed that you took it from E.T.

I have always said we should disagree agreeably. I have never been dismissive of others opinion; I, like you, just may not agree with them. Thank you for clarifying the joining thing. You state that the site has declined in quality - that is your opinion not a fact. You might have better things to do than go round and round in circles on this, but you are so good at it as demonstrated on this and other threads. So if you are done here, see you around on another thread!!

Actually, I decided before that I would only do scene critiques, which this thread started out as. If you had read my posts carefully, you would have known what I was talking about the joining thing because I mentioned it in an earlier post on this thread. I tried to make a different point in each post, so the post would not be pointless (pun intended.) Of course everything I say is my opinion, but you can't deny there has been a sameness about each scene that makes them pretty predictable. I'll leave it at that.:001_rolleyes:

Thomas Stearns Eliot, Jeremy Hall, et cetera

Been away. Just plowed through this whole thread and found the best bit at the end.

stowe1 is one of the most literate, perceptive and amusing forumites posting on the board. elyot1 is a brilliant young cineaste with a talent for stringing out narratives that build to clever, non sequitur stingers at the end.

E. T. Elyot, emigré from Missouri to Britain (I can identify) is one of the seminal 20th century poets, the only one I can recite longish passages of from memory. Excellent to see you three in the same post on a terrific thread.

And me? I came away from this with a typical (ex-Missouri) European puzzlement at the prim and fastidious discomfort caused by the "sleeping with the models" joke. Keep in mind that a lot of the guys we see performing on the average gay porn set come from the jolly world of male prostitution. Whoever broached the possibility that management might occasionally do an interview with a prospective Broke Straight Boys in the way I'm dead sure I'd do it if it were me, was just assuming that totally normal practices hold sway at Blu. All innuendo aside, it's surely one of the best ways of getting a feeling for a newbie's potential. I find the idea (that Clay might get it a bit on with these guys during the induction process) absolutely sizzling. Clay, the invisible Jeremy Hall.

Like E.T. Elyot, I allowed myself some poetic license in the above post. The poster who broached the concept of model-management sex didn't refer to it in the context of "let's see what you've got in your repertoire: try something on me". He was cross and looking for a rationale, and asked management if the reason Jimmy the millionaire was getting so much work had to do with his generosity in bed. Again, I'd love it if either Clay or Mark were getting some of that from Mr. Johnson. The thought brings such a huge new dimension to the experience. At least, at the very least, it would be nothing to be ashamed of.

By the way. Thank you for bringing Bobby and his hungry basset hounds back. He and Jack are seriously the cutest, most engaging, hottest little pornies that have been through here for months.

What! No, some of the Broke Straight Boys models are giving it up to management for work? What are you, guys, saying? This is really going beyond the Pale. It's something to disagree with the Management but really, is it proper to accuse it with this impropriety? Even if you have evidence of this liaison, it is still very unseemly to say so. The whole purpose of this is just to muddle the whole environment and make it poisonous and bitter - There's nothing to be gain with such talk. I know that we use our dicks to do most of our thinking but there are times where we should use our real heads to do the right thing; and, now is such a time.

Angel dude, what's improper about doing a thorough interview? Checking a prospective performer's capacity to produce a stiffy under the trying conditions of an interview for a pornie job seems to me to be correct and actually necessary. I'm absolutely not suggesting that management here does it, but I for one would applaud it. Knowing what a model's performance capacities and parameters are before filming him would obviously make for better episodes. Why are we so pious about this stuff? Does anyone seriously think that it isn't common practice, and that it isn't a good idea? Am I being naive?

Thanks slim, I appreciate your kind words and am glad you enjoy my posts. The feeling is mutual. I have always found your posts to be insightful tinged with a sly sense of humor. Oh, by the way, I can give you plenty of references who will vouch perhaps for my fastidiousness (if you define it as meticulous or demanding attitude), but never my being prim -lol!!!

The context of how the issue was raised is what really bothered me the most. Through a rather unique set of circumstances I was a friend of the late, great Matt Gunther of 80's and 90's porn fame. What alot of those actors had to put up with and do to attain any kind of "fame" in the gay porn world was beyond the pale. A lot has changed in that industry but I'm guessing not as much in that area as we might think. However, given the nature of this site, I would be surprised if there is pressure for the actors to have to pimp themselves out to get episodes.
