My impression was that the girl behind the guy on the right was the girlfriend of the boy on the left. I have worked with a lot of teens in the past twenty years and there is a lot of fucking around, both gay, straight and bi and a ton more sexual fluidity, party/group sex, mixing it up between genders than there was way back when when I was in high school. I've worked with teens who have identified as primarily either straight or gay who didn't seem to have a problem crossing over the line back and forth. More willingness to experiment with their own gender regardless of their straight preference or with the opposite sex if more gay/lesbian identified.

No I do not like fag hags at all. My experience of girls in boys company is bad, they are interfering and a pain in the ass. In the past when I was around 17 they caused a lot of grief between me and a guy I was after so now I stay well clear of them and won't even go out with a guy if he says some of his girl friends will be there.

I am quite with you, on this one. I've been blessed to have many friends who are straight (men and women); gay men; lesbians; and bisexual (men and women.) I have also experienced anger, opprobrium, and unpleasantness, from a rather smaller number of people who are straight (men and women); and gay men. (Though I don't think a lesbian or a bisexual person has ever caused grief, thus far - and, living above the Arctic circle, I haven't yet met a transgendered person - though I know there are some, in my town.)
I should like to submit, though, that a person's gender or sexual orientation tells one precisely nothing about his or her kindness, or goodness, or want thereof. There have, for example, been gay saints - and gay mass murderers. Their gender and sexual orientation had nothing to do with their ultimate deeds, and impact upon society, I think: other factors were determinative.
So, my hope is that each individual we meet might be treated as an individual, first ~ and either loved, or left politely aside, based upon his or her own character, and actions.
That's my creed, when it comes to such questions, Ms. K. I have a sense that over-broad generalizations can only get in the way.

In the sex ed class I had to take in grad school, complete with videos, one of the things we had to do was write and give to the instructor our own sexual histories and our own sexual fantasies. Can't very well counsel others if you haven't worked on your own stuff, I guess. We were allowed to turn in the info with just the last four digits of our social security number. I kept mine for a long time but recently shredded it. I thought, as I age, maybe I don't want someone reading that hot mess when I'm gone- like my mother, perhaps, if I died first. Now I kinda wish I'd kept it just to see what my perspective on my "past" was in 1985. Too late now because it's gone with the wind.
