Hey Guys,

You have been great but I've been trying to get more members posting on this message board. Mainly interested in new members who have never posted before. I've tried contests, giveaways etc. Any ideas on how to get some more people posting?

If you are reading this and have never posted here I welcome you to post a hello or something. We really need as much feedback as possible so we can improve the site. The more people posting here the more feedback we will have which will help us so much!

Thanks,
Mark

PS: I've got my welcome signs ready lol

You have to have stamina to post here. If you say the wrong thing, certain members and clicks of the member will censor you and run you out. It happens all the time. Its hard to get inside this click.

Say one thing different than the party line and you get censored.

People like me have stamina, and I've hung in here. But notice I'm totally excluded from the main click. Most people would just give up and go away.

But not me. I just keep hanging in here. Saying what I think. And if you ask me, making some of the most creative posts that are made on the site. While others post way more and some of the most boring, and inapplicable posts you ever heard of.

It creates a bad ambiance.

Advise people who post on the positive board under the scene. Positive postings are not very well accepted here.

If you like the scene because its hot sex, or don't like certain Broke Straight Boys-1 type scenes, then you don't fit here.

I think its getting a little better but very slowly.

Someone will review every comment that a new guy makes until he is trained. There are four or five exceptions to this rule, but most are under the strong influence of the main click.

Thanks for the post, Mark.

I was a member of the site for a while before I ever started posting in the forum. I think it was having to sign up with a separate username and password that kept me from joining sooner. I think some new people might read the forum and think they can leave a message, but when they realize they have to create another username and password (even though it can be the same) seems like too much trouble for some, so they don’t bother. Just a thought.

I'm gonna be honest here, I don't post much anyone because there is very little interaction with the site owners. Questions go unanswered and it's kind of discouraging.

I was lucky enough to win swag which was really wonderful and I appreciated that so much but I also like to feel like it's a discussion place with the owners.

Just my two cents.

Joseph

Jay, that might be true. I was a member about a year I think before I signed up and posted. But you do only have to do it once.

Mark, remember in the old days when models used to post a lot. Maybe if you got more of them posting and featured them talking about it on the scenes. I remember not long ago Sha had 3 of them reading the forum on a behind the scenes. But mentioning the forum on the regular scenes might let some more casual viewers realize the forum is even here. I think the forum is a tremendous asset to Broke Straight Boys It’s the reason many of us are still here. I agree we should try to get more people posting.

You might start a thread about what we want to see models do. Sha could read out some of these things and the models would do their best to coordinate the viewer request into the scene. Of course you would have to select plausible things from the posts but I think that would generate a lot of interest and bring in new posters. I think the key is to put the word out in the scenes or maybe do some banners advertising the forum. I have read many complaints that the models aren’t on here anymore. I do realize some mean things are said and not all models would enjoy reading what is said about them. But I would hope members would tone down negative comments about models if they realized the models were actually reading the posts.

That's a great idea Jay. I agree that Mark should make it as easy as possible to have the widest variety of posters on the forum. As we sometimes say that there seems to be a disconnect between what the forum thinks of certain models and scenes than the ratings reflect that over-all membership thinks. We need to bring everyone who is a fan of the site on board to the forum.

This is a great site Mark with a great history of great models and lately Sha has been bringing in more variety of types than ever before. I join you Mark and Jay in encouraging as many folks as possible to speak their minds here. It makes it so much more fun to hear what everything thinks, regardless of their point of view. Long Live Broke Straight Boys and Long Live our forum!!!!! :thumbup1:

And as Mark said to all new memebers who may have never posted before, :welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome::welcome:

Another great idea Rep, encouraging models to participate and promoting the forum in the scenes themselves. And banners on the homepage advertising the forum is also a great suggestion!

I do believe that all of us regular forumites strongly encourage more diverse ideas and opinions here.

Well I do feel that most people have stopped responding to anything I say anymore.

Good point Joseph. We do often ask questions that go unanswered by the staff. More participation on their part might help encourage more participation as well.

I've told you many times Jay that I think you have been a breath of fresh air on the forum since you started posting regularly. I love your passion and enthusiasm over the site and the forum. More posters like Jaybifla would be great!!!!! Keep on being who you are Jay. You are terrific. :thumbup1:

Thank You, Mikey. And thank you for the kind words.

I agree. I didn’t understand your post either because I haven’t noticed it to be true. I like to see what you are posting. I’m also glad you are out there perusing social media. I’m not as skilled at that and I appreciate you keeping us posted on Broke Straight Boys related things that show up.

I firmly believe if we had models that consistently interacted with us on the forums it would be a way more fun place. But some people take the forums way too seriously and forgot it’s a forum on a gay porn website. some people can also be very mean.

More interaction from Broke Straight Boys management would increase traffic here. This would be a good place to release news about Broke Straight Boys, as in future models, models that are together at the Broke Straight Boys house...information they would need to come here to receive. Perhaps use the forum to select a scene, and the guys involved from the house mates at the time, with voting here. Maybe have a chance to pick a 3some to make a scene from the models available at a particular time. Always make sure for Broke Straight Boys to offer the choices available depending on what the models like to do so that they would be considered in the process. More interaction with the guys would be great, but behind a computer, some people could say cruel things to these young men. Perhaps have a specific time to interact with the models when the posts could be monitored. It is my experience when trying new things, the things you worry about never happen, but the ones you don't will. Good luck on this, because the forum makes Broke Straight Boys unique among the sites and could make Broke Straight Boys even more distinctive with excellent customer relations.

I agree 100% and we tried to make this seamless but with custom software mixed with message board software we couldn't make it happen. I'll check into this again to see what we can do. Thanks so much for your suggestion.

Thanks for taking the effort to make the forum better. I find that most of the models have some type of twitter accounts. I notice , Mark you make the twitter accounts available. Some like me go straight to the model to voice our approval. I have been lucky enough to follow some, with them following me back. I know these guys have lives, but they will interact with their fans if approached. Is there a way to have the models twitter account, link to the forum, when they are in the house? Classic example, Ryan Pitt was filming an upcoming scene, having sex with Cody, he took a picture on his twitter page, with him fluffing himself as Cody was laying down fluffing himself.... I am sure that would have stirred some excitement in the forum. Knowing for a fact they will have a scene together His twitter followers got that gem, but the forum members didn't. Just an idea, there are some really big Ryan Pitt fans

That’s true. And y’all know I’m nosey as hell and will share it, so you might as well just post it...LOL.

If Tumblr hadn't gotten religion, I would never have ventured on to Twitter. This is relevant because I found that following links found on the Broke Straight Boys feed and Twitter's suggestions, you can find out more about the models over there than on here.
