Hi, how is your day going.

I walked the length of Brooklyn Bridge Park today into DUMBO. I was thinking about how for many years, it was land that was the abandoned Brooklyn Waterfront with rotting piers where the ships used to dock to bring in goods. In 1998 a park was first proposed and in 2010 the first sections opened. It was completed in 2021 and is now a huge tourist area as well as being enjoyed by locals, such as me. :001_smile:

Who would have thought that activities such as kayaking would take place right here in the East River? And how the East River would once again become a means of transportation now with six different ferry routes connecting 25 piers from as far south as Rockaway Beach to the most northern pier in the mid Bronx? And it only cost $4.50 with a free transfer.

I also passed a make shift memorial at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge to honor the two Mexican sailors killed last month when their tall ship hit the Brooklyn Bridge. Overall it was a nice day for a good walk. I hope to take advantage of this beautiful park more as the summer weather finally sets in.

My day sucked. It started off with it raining in my bathroom. Then to fix the indoor rain shower, they had to tear down my ceiling to get to the rotted drain pipe.

The good is I am alive and kicking, so it can always be worse I guess 😂

Hope everyone's weekend goes great!

To use all the old cliches, we are in a heat wave, an old fashioned scorcher, etc. etc. But fact of the matter is we are bracing for record setting heat in NYC for this date. Today is expected to go to 97 and Tuesday to 99 with the heat index both days at around 110 F. That is HOT :crying:.

I was out at 7:30 AM and it was 82 but the hazy sun was already doing its work heating up the city. Here are a few shots of downtown Brooklyn and the streets of Brooklyn Heights before the real heat sets in. Stay tuned…..

We're are going to hit 90 ourselves, that's a bit too warm LOL. I'm not looking forward to my trip to Texas in mid July 💀. That will be hell on scorched earth temps 🤣🤣

Stay cool and hydrated!

Is your upcoming Texas trip for business or pleasure? Also I’ve heard that Austin is a cool city. Hopefully you will have some fun. Keep us posted Chac, and try to stay cool today. :001_cool:

Family stuff, so it won't be a vacation per se, my mother is having a procedure done and my step dad is not doing well (his is 85) so I need to get a few things done to help her out.

I might be able to reschedule my outbound flight to visit Austin for a day or two 🤔. I am desperately horny and need to suck some dick, lots of nice fit 20 something military dudes down there 😂. My first catfish/scammer on Grindr said he was from that area I think LOL 😆
