Hi, how is your day going.

Today is beautiful outside, as it feels like I got home last night in winter and woke up this morning in spring. And I saw something on Montague Street today that I haven’t seen before……a retro trolley. I’ll have to research it but hopefully today is the start of warm days, flowers and greenery coming down the pike.

Trees look so pretty all in bloom, thanks for sharing.

My part-time job’s office is closed this week and so I am treating this as a vacation week, trying to do stuff that I don’t do every day. But today was just a lazy day, so I vegetated until late this afternoon when I took a walk around the neighborhood and the length of The Promenade. And Spring is busting out all over.

Today is the nicest, warmest day yet of 2025 in New York City. I was at a cute little museum on West 23rd Street in the morning. Then I walked down Sixth Avenue and made my way to Washington Square Park near NYU, and while it’s Easter week, there were a lot of the college kids enjoying the warm temperatures and there were enough hot guys to hold my attention too. :001_smile:

That first image at the newsstand confuses me. Is that an old photo of a newsstand?

I'm quite nervous about my future. Am I going to be able to get loans for my senior year? Shit's been real at school. Some of my classmates have had their visas revoked. I'm terrified for some of my young friends. What an embarrassing time to be an American.

Completely unrelated, I was looking at a young man with that kind of poofy in the front haircut, and I realized why I don't think it looks great. It looks like a haircut I've seen on old women.

Yes. It is a photo of an old newsstand. The only thing real are the three newspapers showing Man walking on the moon from August 1969. (Not real newspapers, but real three dimensional depictions of them, and the two phones on either side which are actually for the use of hearing impaired folks at the museum to listen to audio).

Regarding your future and the foreign born students having their visas revoked, I agree these are very scary times in America, most definitely the most scary in my lifetime and perhaps among the most dangerous in the history of our nation.

It is great to see you posting again Treb. I think about you and Max as our Broke Straight Boys Forum community keeps shrinking. It’s great to hear from you although I’m sorry that you have such real concerns about finishing your degree.

Funny, when I see hot young guys, their haircuts styles are among the last things that I look at.

I mean, not that some of them aren't gorgeous.

You know, haircuts are pretty important to me, actually. I hate mullets soooo much. I guess that makes me a bad queer or whatever. I also really hate the shaved temples thing.

I think I don't really look at someone's body after their head turns me off.

The scary part is no due process is allowed. If we don't have that, it's a free-for-all and the Constitution and our laws mean absolutely nothing, basically toilet paper 😔 the most wealthy or armed will be the ones that survive.

I was planning on traveling abroad, but I have scrapped those plans for the future, I'm just laying low and keeping my head down. If the supreme court doesn't do the right thing and follow due process, well the USA is permanently done for and fucked over royally.

You are not a “bad queer” at all Treb. Queers like all people all have our own individual turn-ons and turn-offs. Just be yourself and it’s all good in my book. :thumbup1:

I've been about down lately, went on a date which didn't end well at the start of the month (seems I didn't have a big enough beer belly... (you really can't win sometimes!))

Anyway went up to London Tuesday evening to see Heilung which was great! Their a Northern Germanic/ Scandinavian pagan outfit! (Make their instruments out of bone and hides)

Was an amazing show, or as they would say it was an amazing ritual! For half of it they had 20ish people on the stage, a good half with spears and shields!

Did a walk today to a local pub called 'The Peacock' which does host a couple of Peacocks and Peahens....

Also saw some Lambs which are one of the cutest animals going!

I thought of the greatest comedian when I saw the lamb - 😆

In the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, many of the abandoned warehouses were converted into art studios. Today was an Open House for art studios but I was most impressed that one of the buildings had a rooftop deck next to the Manhattan Bridge and I saw that bridge up close from a perspective that I’d never seen it before.
