According to the weather forecast today will be the last day of 80F+ temps for a while. I took an early morning walk on the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and enjoyed the weather and the views during rush hour, including the Staten Island Ferry which is a free ride between Staten Island and Manhattan. I also saw the New York Ferry in the East River which covers waterfront spots in all five boroughs of New York City, That costs a base fare of $4.50 with a free transfer and discounted multi-ride programs as well. I think it’s great that New York City which became prominent because of its water routes is taking advantage of our geographic assets once again.
