I did realize that in my latest scene w/ Dakota that my beard looked really heavy. I keep it a lot shorter now so it looks lighter, and I'm afraid to shave because I do feel like it makes me look really young and twink-ish. I may switch things up for some future scenes for you guys, diversifying is a good idea, keeps things fresh and keeps me interesting. lol

Ian you are one handsome stud. I like you with the beard or without. Being versatile with that is fine with me. But no matter what you are still one of my favorites and from the comments here not just me.

I agree. I am so baffled by so many Americans truly scared of diversity, when that is the foundation of America. When I taught 9th grade Geography, I always included a book called, "If The World Were A Village." To many, it was a very eye opening book, filled with facts about the world reduced to a village of 100 people. Here is a YouTube about it; yeah, it's simple, but it leads to so many questions.

I was rather taken with the similarities of what you said in your BTS vid and what Spencer said in his. Especially so in regards to losing friends who found out about the video work. Those of us who are gay go through much the same thing. We look at all of our most valued friendships and even those within our own families and we have to wonder if those people would still be there if we told them that we were gay. We realize that many of those bonds of friendship are conditional. And that we would lose many (if not all) of those friends if we came out. It's a sad and lonely place to be, to say the least.

All of you straight or straight-er guys who model have to go through much the same dilemma. You know that you will lose many people whom you held dear to you up to this point. But then of course you do the math and realize that they were never true friends anyway. As much as the losses hurt...and they do...if they would toss the friendship away over being gay or simply doing gay for pay video work, they were never loyal friends anyway. Those bonds were based on all kinds of conditions and stipulations.

So the friendships and the relationships you're left with are more treasured than ever because you know who cares for you unconditionally. Spencer told of how just about everyone in his life found out about his modeling. Although Spencer didn't say it outright, I got the sense that he was saying that with all the lost friendships he suffered, that he had cleared out all the deadwood and was happy now with what he had left. A process like this really teaches you who your real friends are.

It reminds me a little bit of how your female friend secretly told your best male friend about the video work. You were afraid to tell him because you didn't know how he would react. You didn't want to lose his friendship. You wanted to wait for the "right" time to tell him and so on. Then you found out that his reaction was "Ian is still Ian." I thought that was really beautiful.

Was your path through this similar to Spencer's in that regard?

I haven't watched Spencer's video, but I would have to agree that the friends I still have are much closer with me in the sense that they care and look out for me. Every once in a while a gay butt sex joke will pop out and everyone looks at me for approval, I just laugh right along with everyone. I've never had a problem with gay jokes, and now that everyone knows I know they all are just kidding around.

As far as my classes go, they are goin good. Almost done with my first 8 week classes so that's exciting! I did however manage to spill coffee on my Mac this morning shortly after posting Happy Tuesday! So my day made an unexpected turn. It just got worse when I took it to the Apple store and they told me it would be $1200 to fix it. I nearly shit a brick and slapped the fuck outa the guy. But luckily for the members this means I'll be stopping by the studio this month for some scenes hahaha.
