Hey Ian!

Thanks so much for the video as always. We did miss you while you were away. I'm glad though that you enjoyed focusing on other things in your life away from the internet. I'm so glad you came back to chat with us though. It really does mean a lot to many of us in here.

I really agree with you on the dinner and a movie date. The dinner part's not so bad. The movie part though is about the worst way you could spend your time if you are trying to get to know the other person better. Because as you point out you sit there in the dark side by side for hours, and you're not allowed to talk to each other. So what's the point of making that part of a date? lol

I found it interesting that you say most of the guys/models do not want to discuss their scenes once they're over. Not that I necessarily assumed that they sat around and dissected every nuance of what just happened. But as I say, it's interesting to hear that there is almost an aversion to it among most of the Broke Straight Boys models.

Pardon me for not adding a photo to this weeks video, but here it is. This photo was taken over this past summer when a group of my friends and I to a hike up in Boulder to watch the sunrise. We had been up the whole night playing cards and drinking massive amounts of energy drinks to stay awake for the trip. Ive always like a sense of mystery in my photos. Not an over exaggerated amount of mystery, but just enough to make you have to think for yourself. I really liked how the silhouettes turned out.

Nice photo. If that were my child, I would have it blown up and framed. It seems like it gives a sense of the person without needing to see their face. BTW, do you ever shoot with a wide angle lens? No, not for photos of people, but for photos of flora; I was thinking about this when I saw your last photo of the trees.

After a solid 8 months of working with Broke Straight Boys, the cat finally chewed itself out of the bag. This last video I uploaded somehow was linked with my personal Facebook without my knowledge. It sat on Facebook for 15 minutes before I got a call form a friend who knows about what I do saying that my video was on Facebook. It has since been removed, but the damage had already been done. On Thursday I took a friend out to lunch who was home from the Army. Thats when it first got back to me. She told me she saw the videos and knew what I did, but was okay with it, and didn't think it was a big deal. That was when I knew people had seen it from Facebook and I knew that it would be only a matter of time before a nuclear bomb of gossip and rumors would explode. Like clockwork, at 8am on this first day of November I received a phone call from my ex-girlfriend, who now lives in North Carolina. She found out about the porn and was told I had a video on youtube about our first time. So naturally all of the videos have been deleted, along with my Facebook. I know this won't help a lot, you can easily Google me and find everything you want. But, I think it would be smart to get rid off all the excess fat and simply ride this wild roller coaster until it becomes yesterdays news.

Coming into all of this I knew the risks, and I fully understood that eventually people would begin to find out. I was very surprised to know I had kept it a secret for 8 months, that's not bad at all. I was not surprised however, when I woke up from a nap to find 20 text messages, all from different friends who said they found out. Apparently I was a big talking point today at my old high school. I nailed the shock factor. with all of this.

Do not worry though, this doesn't mean the end of Ian Dempsey. I will just act like what's going on isn't a big deal and it will all pass with time. In the meantime, no more videos will be uploaded and my Facebook will be temporarily deactivated. I will still stay with the forum and continue to answer and questions you may have. With recent turn of events you all will no doubt have interesting questions for me. You stay golden Broke Straight Boys!

I'm so sorry Ian that it all went down like that. I've had more than one person tell me that Facebook was evil. It was sort of okay back before they starting breaching privacy and linking recent internet activity by the user to his FB page...to share unbeknownst to the user and all 320 of his/her "best" friends. It's even more galling that FB tries to sell this as an "enhancement" and an upgrade. It's nothing of the kind. It's an invasion of privacy. If people want everyone and their brothers to know everything they are doing online, they are free to post it to their profiles themselves.

I'm glad to know that you aren't going to abandon us entirely Ian. That means a lot to a great many of us in here. I still wouldn't blame you a bit for being a bit freaked out right now at the potential fallout. As you say though, it will blow over eventually as the human attention span is not that long. Other distractions come along, and to the people in your life, this all becomes yesterday's news.

Please know that there is a great deal of goodwill in here for you. We can certainly understand your not wanting to post any more Youtube linked videos for the foreseeable future. We thank you for having been willing to do them for us at all out of kindness and generosity towards your fans.

Dear Ian,

I want you to know that I said a few prayers for you in church this morning and I'm hoping that you are doing well under the circumstances. I'm sure it's been a tough week. I also know that you are a strong person. We really do care about you in here. It pains many of us to know that any model (especially you) are going through a tough time. It bothers us all the more when your intention for doing the videos was simply to do something extra kind for your fans.

Just as when Beth says that she discussed your current situation with her husband and how saddened she was by the news of your outing as a model...when we say we care about you, we really do mean it. I hope you understand and can believe that when we offer you words of encouragement and support, that they are not empty platitudes doled out for the sake of being polite. I've been quite upset about this ever since I heard what you were going through. I know for a fact that I'm not the only one. We wish you all the best as you ride this wave of drama. Hopefully it settles down much sooner than later.

Thanks Beth, it means a lot. Please don't feel bad about asking the first time question, I ended up talking with my ex for close to an hour at 1 in the morning on Saturday, and it ended nicely and it was a good way to end things.

Tampa, thanks for the prayers. I hung out with some of my closer friends Saturday night after everything happened, and I ended up learning a lot about the whole situation. Apparently my best friend Rhett has know for a few months. I don't know if I talked about when I went to see one of my friends in college in any of my videos, but I ended up tell her that night. Well she was kinda thrown off about the whole thing and didn't know what to do so she texted Rhett about it but told him to not say anything and wait for when I was ready to tell him. He texted her back and simply said, "Ian is still Ian. This doesn't change that." So all is well now, I've talked with all my friends about it and its a new day. Theres still probably a lot I still don't know about, but in time everything will work out.
