Goodbye to Axel Kane

I am constantly amazed when this subject comes up and I feel like I am the only member of this forum who does not believe that the requirements for being a performer on this site include having to bottom. I am sure that Sha or previously Clay or David or whomever always discuss with a young man what he has to do to get paid here. And I doubt that any of the models have signed a piece of paper stating that they will bottom and then reneged during a scene. It is a choice of both the model and the site. And as with Axel Kane or Ashton Taylor, (to name two recent examples), after a number of scenes if they still do not choose to bottom and the site requires it of them, they no longer work for Broke Straight Boys That is all. It does not make them a bad person or a liar.

The most blatant example on this forum of this phenomenon was the year that Jimmy Johnson appeared on Broke Straight Boys to introduce Broke Straight Boys-2. I was shocked by the venomous comments made on the forum regarding Jimmy because he claimed to be straight and said that he would not bottom. After he filmed over 20 scenes here, he moved on to other sites where he filmed dozens more exclusively topping. He finally decided on his own terms that he would bottom for his "grand finale" scene for another site.

Obviously I am in the vast minority in that I enjoy watching a very masculine straight identifying young guy get naked, and hard and perform sexually here without getting fucked. Among my all time favorites here over the years have been Mike Robbins and the original "Tank" Shane who both only attempted to bottom one time each because they were told it was necessary to continue getting work here and they did, and neither scene turned out well, in my opinion.

So again I say to Axel, thank you for your work for Broke Straight Boys and best of luck to you in your future endeavors, be them in gay for pay porn or whatever else you decide to do in life. And to my fellow forumites I say it is not necessarily part of the job description to work here to bottom. Sha said he was hoping for Axel to expand his horizons or something along those lines. But Axel was hired with the full knowledge by Sha and the team that he might not do those things and they hired him anyway. We have seen nine of his scenes so far, with a few more not yet shown. So I think it is unfair to blame Axel as was not deceitful and in fact he was very upfront from the start of what he might not do, but management kept paying him to do more scenes until they decided it was enough.

2) Applying and being hired to do porn is very different from other jobs, as the job description is not hard and fast as to what exactly constitutes doing the job. If you are hired to be a dishwasher, you can't say I will not wash dishes. The same goes for a brick layer or a cook or an assembly line worker. However there are many aspects to performing on a gay porn site and all viewers do have exactly the same expectations out of model. We have had others besides Axel who did not bottom and even who did not suck cock.

At the end of the day, I believe that Axel performed what he said he would do, and when management and fans demanded more, he was not brought back after the nine to twelve scenes he was paid to perform in. We have had many models over the years who appeared in fewer than 12 scenes and so Axel must have been satisfying management to some degree.
