That's interesting Mikey.
I also looked over some of his old Broke Straight Boys scenes and he was paired with several models who were rather plain looking. So in a sense I can see where he was coming from. However he did get to have scenes with some pretty good looking guys like Jos Alvarez and a couple others. But you know, Broke Straight Boys has always prided itself on finding boy-next-door type guys who one would grow to appreciate over time. Like a fine wine that starts out as simple and humble grape juice and then matures with age. It's not a site where every model is required to be a 9-10 out of 10. Like on Bel Ami or some of the other major international studios.
To make my point about some models being an acquired taste... I remember when I was first introduced to Brandon Beal I wasn't immediately smitten at all. I thought he looked rather average, that his lips were a little too thick for my taste, etc. But he had that All-American boy-next-door subtle charm to him so that the more I saw of him, week after week, month after month, the more I appreciated how talented and handsome he was. For me he blossomed from just a somewhat cute-ish court jester, into a very handsome and sexy prince.
Of course by then I had set myself for one of the best "gotcha" questions of all time... As in, "Who changed???!" haha
Uh. Well. Since Brandon didn't go through an extreme makeover, or undergo radical plastic surgery.......... I think maybe I did. (blush)
lol So is it just possible that I was wrong in my original assessment?

So long story short, just about any of the plainer models Derek might not have considered very sexy to work with, I or the rest of us could quite possibly fall in love/lust with and consider them to be serious relationship/marriage material.
