Do We Really Act Our Age....A Poll

This Forum appears to have a very divergent group of men and women. All members seem to have various opinions and gut reactions to the many posts. To this end it has piqued my curiosity. Where do these opinions and reactions come from....what is our membership? I think many opinions, posts and reactions are age based.

Therefore: I would like to conduct a simple poll to find out what our membership base is. Please be honest in your own age assessment.

The poll will be fun and it will be interesting to find out who makes up the membership of Broke Straight Boys

I've maintained in this forum for some time now that the demography is weighted heavily in the category that includes: trolls, old roués, chickenhawks, hot daddies, retirees, and other mentors lol.

Keep in mind that the voting pool is very very skewed. I think I was voter 10, and it could be that older guys outnumber younger ones 5 to 1 in the forum, but that the entire membership population has a more even age split.

I notice that once you're over fifty, that's it, no more splitting up in ten year increments.  HMMMM. LMAO!!   I wonder if that's because we forget so, what's the word?, oh yeah, easily! LOL!! 
Don't you think that a lot of how we act is determined by our circumstances?  And what about the whole area of esteem issues? (I act a certain way because it makes me more attractive to others?) If I seem younger, maybe they'll like me more? Even mature people can fall into that hole on occasion. I know I can actlike a troll, but Ihave also been a chickenhawk as well as a hot daddie

PS, I hope thyis made sense because right now I am loaded with sinus pain meds, so I apologize if this sounds like some sort of stupid off point lecture, guys.

Great idea for a poll, an interesting demographic and diverse group of people. I see my group is nearly the minority but that’s cool. We youngsters tend to put off things we should do today until tomorrow. Me, I live for today, one day at a time, believing in the tomorrows to come. Hoping for the best.

As regards acting my age, what I'm gonna say will probably date me worse that my taste in music, since it has to do with the Zodiac, remember the Zodiac?, and specifically my sun sign. Capricorns are supposed by astrologers to be responsible, ambitious, stuffy, anal control freaks, and as young guys we act old beyond our years. But as we get older, we act and seem younger. Anything less attractive is hard to imagine, but it's written in the stars. There may have been a year or two in my prime when the calendar age moving forward crossed with the Dorian Grey syndrome moving back, balancing out the anomaly, but from that point on, as I've grown older and older, and older, and older, I've been acting "younger", whatever that actually means.

All I know is that I'm 46 years old, but have the heart of a 20 year old inside. I like to be open to everything new, and enjoy people as they want to be. There is nothing wrong with feeling you are young, or enjoying your life as if you were care free. We have enough to drag us down, why let age be one of them..

Looks like mostly youngsters and old farts here! No offense to anyone, I'm an old fart! LOL! As I age, I still think young. I am sometimes startled when I look in the mirror! Who the fuck is that?!!!!! LOL!! I am called Sir by most people now. I'm not sure how to take that! Age is just a number, although I wish I was 18 again. With what I have learned through life, I would do some things much differently. I would have more fun! Even though I have had my share of fun! The girls and boys I've been with were great, but I wouldn't have been so serious about the whole thang.................

OK, then I want to be the same number as....................I am right now! There is no substitute for experience. And even though I had lots of fun when I was younger, (I remember especially those wonderful summers at camp) I am grateful for the life I have now, and the friends I cherish today!

This is a great thread. It is too bad they don't have some of these informational posts set up when members are joining the forum. Maybe more people would do the surveys.

I'm a little surprised at the evolution in the demography toward parity between OF's and Y's from when I voted (number 10).

It's disconcerting to me (in a really good way) that there are lots of young guys into the fetish sites that Blu operate. Dickhead, why don't you set up another poll asking members to try to define their sexuality on a detailed Straight to Gay scale? How many Not Quite Broke Straight Boys, or Broke Not Quite Straight Boys, et cetera, are there among the membership? If you do a poll like this, are you only allowed a five option graph, or could you be more detailed? Really impossible to define one's unique personal sexual preferences with only 5 choices...

This is one of the easiest threads in the Forum to post on, you don't even need to leave a message. All you need to do is put a check mark in your age category. We have no way of verifying your identity when you vote other than the computer itself tracking the fact that you voted. The statistics really will help the site too.

Certainly,you can be whatever you want to be. This survey is only polling for your age. Age is just a relative number.

It could have been much worse. The poll could have asked:

• What is your current age at this time and how many lifetimes you have been on this planet or others.
  
• Approximately, how many years of negative karma do you need to work off before you can ascend?
  
• How long have you been an intergalactic traveler living here on earth to learn about our culture?

I hate when people ask those questions on surveys. I really feel like lying to throw people off of track or something when they want answers to those kind of questions. Does anyone else in here have the same problem with those questions? LOL

I think it should be two options, gay or straight. If you have the option of half and half I think it would get the most votes. I'm in the 39/49 range(my partner or 26+ years is 50+ and cuter) and would also like to be young again. Then again, with the problems of safe sex these days I'll stay the age I am, 47 going on 18.
