Just curious as to why that would be cut or left on the editing floor? Tyler had bottomed multiple times up until that point and was slowly getting better at it. Would have loved to of seen that.

I think that the answer is that they traditionally shoot the "stills" separately from the actual scenes, perhaps while they are blocking the scenes by the videographer prior to the actual live footage is shot, and that all of the action planned in advance does not always come to fruition during the scene. That is my belief based on comments over the years by the various scene directors who've posted on the forum.

I think Mikeyank is probably spot on as usual but I also remember a recent scene where one new guy didn’t suck dick at all he just fucked and the forum was a buzz about it and Mark, I believe, came on and said that footage had been damaged and they couldn’t use it. It’s also possible that something like that happened with TYLER. I've heard stories about Tyler stealing, and just generally causing a lot of problems, hence his release from this studio. But id love to see him back more than anything, and knowing as you said that he is currently looking for a studio tells me Broke Straight Boys could use that as leverage and basically say something along the lines of, "we'll bring you back again, only if you bottom" as he seems to try very hard to avoid doing it and acts like he hates it.

Iv'e spoken to Tyler a bunch. He's definitely a shady guy no doubt. Tried to sell me somewhere in the vicinity of 11 private videos, some gay some straight, and wanted to charge me $150 for it. i asked for more detail, specifically if he sucked dick in any of these, and if he bottomed in any of them. I was out and about doing some chores an hour or so ago and my mind wandered and I began thinking about this scene again. I always knew that Tyler White was hot, but I forgot just how hot he was at that time. You guys have encapsulated just about all of our sentiments as members regarding Tyler. When he first arrived I absolutely loved him. I once had the pleasure of meeting him in person and he was just a great guy. Very pleasant, well mannered and well comported. No sign of drug use. I was even more smitten with him. I saw the potential for his star rising even farther on the site, and longer term, possibly even the industry at large.

That was very shortly before his departure from the site though. He has had the dark side of the attitude and the drugs. A lot of personal demons he's been battling. They don't make for a good combination with him. He burned a lot of bridges during his last batch of films here. While I was not given the blow by blow specifics of what went down during that final week of filming...I was led to believe by people in the know that it was a totally awful and almost out of control situation for the staff to try to manage him and his aberrant behavior.

I would LOVE for Tyler to get his act together and do well in life. I hope he's already on his way to doing that. If that means more porn work here, I'd LOVE that too. If he did well, I would once again be one of his biggest fans. I'm sure he could use the money. But again, I don't hold my breath on that one precisely because of all of the prior baggage. It's a lot to ask some of the same people to take another chance on him.

But I obviously wish the guy well. He is still very young and has time to straighten out his life. In the theme of the original question of the thread, along the lines of why we see some things in photos and not in the video or vice versa, I'm reminded of another very recent discovery myself. And it evens involves Tyler. I saw an ad for Broke Straight Boys on a tube site with a banner photo of Tyler getting fucked by Kaden Alexander and sucked on by Dakota Ford It almost took my breath away. There have also been other times when some wonderful things from the Broke Straight Boys of yesteryear which were shown in photos of the shoots, didn't end up happening at all in the final videos. Fortunately in all honesty it doesn't happen very often. And when it does, you're usually not missing all that much.

There was one time though... haha I was, shall we say...disappointed. (Sarcasm and understatement alert!) LOL One time a great sequence of photos showed something I had never before seen done in a Broke Straight Boys scene. I made the mistake of looking at the photos before I watched the newly released video. I didn't always look at the still photos before I watched the video. But on that particular day...unfortunately I did. I was terribly psyched to see my boy Colin do something unusual. As the whole opening scene played out, I waited specifically and anxiously for that sequence and moment to happen.

Then just as it started, Clay spoke up, scrapped that sequence altogether and told them to stop and just do the regular fucking.

I had a mini-meltdown. I was so mad I could have spit tacks. lol I unleashed a several paragraph rant directed at the director Clay as to his tone-deaf cluelessness over what would most appeal to a gay audience. That was back when many members (myself included of course) either believed or were questioning whether Clay was actually a straight guy filming gay porn for the first time. There was plenty of evidence from some of the videos of the first 6 months or so of the Clay era, which easily led many of us members to that conclusion. haha

So yes. I know firsthand the disappointment of looking forward to seeing something in photos that doesn't happen onscreen. That's just one of the pitfalls of doing still photo shoots of the models prior to the filming of the video itself. Sometimes in the course of filming they decide not to do certain sequences or maybe even forget to do them. Sometimes the models themselves aren't able to perform certain sequences well enough to show in the final cut of the film. So in the older Broke Straight Boys videos especially, sometimes the photos of scenes and the final videos don't really match up. It seems nowadays Broke Straight Boys tends to mostly do still photos during the scenes rather than the whole batch of them prior to filming. Although of course we still see some posed photos of the models in clothing or partial clothing that are obviously done prior to filming.

Interesting for me is that each time the name "Tyler" is mentioned, I think of the original "face of Broke Straight Boys" when I first joined, the boyish Tyler Evans No one received more attention when the forum was first started, and for me Tyler Evans was like a continuing soap opera, watching his progression from when David "discovered" him at a car show in South Florida, right through his days as David's protegee working in the office and occasionally making a cameo in a scene due to popular demand by the forum. For me Tyler Evans was the first star on Broke Straight Boys!!!!

And to this day after so many boys, directors and directions that the site has gone in, Tyler Evans is still a very highly rated model, still on Page 2 of the all time favorites, and that is saying something for me. And so excuse me if when the name Tyler is mentioned on this board, that my mind goes back to the original face of Broke Straight Boys, Tyler Evans!!!!!

Tampa those were definitely the days when Broke Straight Boys had real stars. Damian spit roasted was a good bit of the focus but TYLER taking it up the ass and Dakota eating his come was the highlight to me. I loved Dakota and Tyler they were believable gay for pay and really hot.
