Content Direction & Quality of Models

I'm a long time subscriber and haven't posted here before. Just curious to see what people feel about the direction the site has taken? I got involved a few years ago with some more cut guys, more masculine/straight guys. I came during the era of Johnny Forza, Damien Kyle, those guys. More recent updates seem pretty shit tbh. Why is everyone still here? What are you guys watching? Feeling pretty let down by Broke Straight Boys these days.

Welcome sfseeking. To a point you are correct but times changed & so do the boys available. One thing has not a truly straight guy would never willingly have sex with a guy he would find another way to earn money. The best you can ask is he look and act straight. That is how I feel. I look and collect lots of porn and see all all sorts of guys most appear at multiple sites over time. Let's face it they are in it to earn money. Who can blame them. Back then a site could offer exclusivity but not now. It does not bother me their sexual preferences as long as they are straight acting & they give a good performance.

Thanks for posting sfseeking. It’s good to have more voices here than just the usual few. I actually largely agree with your assessment of the current state of the models and scenes here. Most of my friends who used to be on the forum who agree with you and I have left the site long ago. I’m guessing that most of current membership enjoy what the site is providing and so there has been a big turnover in membership.

It used to be as you say, “ at least in fantasy, hot straight guys stretching boundaries”. That’s why my famous term which I lifted from abush11 is “believably straight” guys who used to appear here. The guys then were perhaps just as gay as current models but they didn’t appear on other sites concurrently as they were on Broke Straight Boys, which breaks any illusion that this is new territory for them.

I stay because of this forum. It has been the place where I can talk about not only Broke Straight Boys, but my ideas about hot guys, sports, entertainment, politics and life in general. The forum has been my outlet since Mark began it in 2008. And I especially thank Mark for letting us speak our minds, even when it may be negative in regard to the site. Today when I do watch a scene it is because I find a guy particularly hot as I do with Darron Bluu, and not because they fulfill my straight boy fetish, as they did in days of old or even with a guy like Ethan Steel in more recent times. But while I am here for the forum, I always check out upcoming scenes and models in hopes of a new guy that might be more in line with what turns me on.

I guess I will chime in. As most people mentioned the quality of Broke Straight Boys right now is very hard to watch and I know it’s only porn but it makes me sad to see my favorite website become a shell of its former self. And in such a quick timeframe as well. I still have hope that it can bounce back but I am not optimistic right now. Seeing all these pictures and videos that get posted of older scenes makes me really miss the older models. I don’t like to dwell in the past but it’s hard not to when we get one new scene a week and then it’s the same models week after week. I still believe with the economy and inflation that we should be seeing a lot more new guys applying that need money. I know the landscape has changed but people will always need money. Just my two cents.

Welcome to the Broke Straight Boys message board. Models have been a nightmare. A lot of them have Only Fans which makes them even more flaky than before. Other studios have been having the same issues. We overbook models but still have issues every time we shoot with someone not showing up or something. I am not happy with models either and I am working hard on getting better models and models that fit Broke Straight Boys better. We have some good ones but to compare what we had before the pandemic is completely different. The pandemic changed everything. Getting better models is one of my biggest priorities now. I have increased the budget for recruiting and I have also reached out to more recruits. Thanks for your patience we are all trying our best these crazy circumstances.

I have to concur...for those that are posting I too apologize but these are the guys that are applying right now. Since covid and now we have to deal with Monkeypox spreading like wild fire, its becoming more and more challenging finding and hiring and keeping models.

We do have a lot of new faces coming up in August. Keep in mind the boys you are seeing now (currently) has been filmed several months prior but we do have a whole new crop of guys coming up on Broke Straight Boys site and We are ALL doing our best trying to get better guys to appear on the Broke Straight Boys site. The hotter guys that normally would apply the guys we would hire and approve, are all on onlyfans doing there own scenes so this has become a major issue with not only Broke Straight Boys but industry wide so just be patience with us.

Again, you are comparing sites that are much larger then Broke Straight Boys (BluMedia). There are two huge companies that own a lot of websites at least 5 or more sites. The larger studios have the "straighter guys", these guys are under contract and they get paid lots of money with these huge companies.

These companies also have many website, so those guys also go from site to site and these companies are using the same guys over and over again since they are under contract.

You also have some huge European companies, that use realistic "straighter guys" but those guys are in Europe and again, you can't compare. And even if you do compare, these "straight guys" are still having gay sex...LOL.

So what is your point???

I am not arguing your loyalty to the Broke Straight Boys site and brand, I am very grateful for that. Many of our members have been very loyal and we all appreciate that. I also respect that you have mention time and time again that you don't care about there sexuality just as long as the sex or the performance is good, I am not debating you about those points and I applaud you for your points of view.

This thread is basically when another member is remarking about the quality of the models. As the studio we advertise (D&E Productions) and I believe BluMedia that owns the websites, Broke Straight Boys and College Boy Physicals, are going to do additional advertising as well. When we advertise we are at the mercy of whom applies. We have hopes that hot straight guys apply. Our Ad's online specifically is geared to hire straight guys, or at least believably straight guys. At this point, its not about the money, its about who is applying.

Both Mark and myself agree with you guys about the models, and we came on here to apologies and agree with you guys, so I am not here to argue.

We all (studios and agents) advertise for models. Some guys just don't apply to Broke Straight Boys or College Boy Physicals sites, while others apply to other studios. Its pot-luck and this is something we can't control. We are hoping that when BluMedia starts to advertise and we are advertising, we will have a lot more Ads out there compared to other studios so with our advertising and having more ads out there, perhaps we can cover more grounds and we will get a lot more applicants applying to our studio and hopefully we get more guys and more straighter guys.

So I hope this clears up this debate and there is more of understanding what goes on behind the scene when trying to hire models. I wasn’t going to comment but I’ll throw in my 2 cents. God bless any and all of you that can afford multiple porn sites a month. I can not. Broke Straight Boys is the only site I am a member of. I stay because I feel like I know people here (forum). I know there was a period of time when Broke Straight Boys was pulling in all of the hot straight acting men but those men are just doing their own things now (onlyfans). I am probably the least pickiest person as far as looks on this site. I find beauty in most people. I could go to cockyboys, helix, Sean Cody, etc. but sometimes these “drop dead gorgeous” men are just too typical, boring, conceited, and most of the time you learn to find out that they’re really shitty people in real life. I like most of the Broke Straight Boys guys because to me most are just as gorgeous, have better personalities and occasionally we get one, like Jos Alvarez, who sticks around and doesn’t jump around from site to site.
I can back Mark up on the people not showing up part. I personally recommended a model from Chaturbate. He is hot and always has 2k people in his Chaturbate broadcast. People love him. I did get him an interview with Broke Straight Boys and they hired him. He was scheduled to work a scene week with Calhoun, Jos Alvarez. James Dawn etc. He didn’t show up. Not only did he not show up but he didn’t call or give an explanation. Broke Straight Boys showed up to the Atlanta airport to pick him up and he didn’t show. And I don’t think the airport is that close to the Broke Straight Boys house they had at the time. I was embarrassed. But as I hear recently, no shows happen more often these days.
I guess to answer the original question of “Why are you here?”……..it’s comfortable, affordable, and most people are really nice. I’ve met some great people. I’ve even met some models and they message me from time to time and that always makes me feel special.

I can't believe that I'm commenting on the quality of the models, it's almost like we are talking meat at the butcher's shop. That said, I do feel that episodes have been lacking something for some time now. Some of the models have been way over exposed and become familiar and boring, but there have been some guys that I find to be hot and sexy and feel that they deserve credit. I find well-built boy next door types to be hot, while others find that type to be too vanilla, so the whole thing is subjective. I attribute some of my discontent to the fact that I'm now in my 60's and becoming bitchy. We all long for the models that attracted us to Broke Straight Boys in the first place and it's not realistic to expect their clones to appear any time soon.
