Broke Straight Boys TV - Worth the wait

On full display of the cameras JJ is here once again telling his boss (now Sha) how things are going to be on Sha's set. Even though he's the employee getting paid with the money of the subscribers of the site, he's arrogantly dictating the terms of what he's going to do in a scene. Like he's so wonderful that the site can't possibly survive without another scene from him.

"I don't suck dick. You know that." *smile* (As Sha's jaw drops with incredulity at the presumptuousness of it.) Then JJ goes on to tell Sha that he's never sucked dick. Then since JJ and Sha both know that's a lie and he'll be caught in it later, he backtracks. Then he tells us viewers that he has done it a few times in the past. He says that when he has sucked dick in the past that he's always insisted in getting (and receiving) a lot more money for it above and beyond his originally agreed upon rate. Then he admits that he still did such a lousy job at sucking dick for a very high salary that the directors (presumably Men.com and others sites too) got wise to him and refused to throw more good money after bad. So he said they refused to have him do any more oral segments. And certainly not for any extra money above his standard rate.

Then it appears to show Sha and JJ after negotiations off camera, with Sha finally agreeing to pay JJ presumably a bunch more money just to do orals in his scene. JJ's a hustler. And I mean that not so much in the obvious sexual connotation but as a scammer. He knows how to use his certain charms to manipulate people into doing his bidding. He's good at it. He would have taken that extra Broke Straight Boys money and still done a lousy job sucking dick. Thank goodness the scene never happened anyway. There was a certain poetic justice to the fact that the scene got cancelled because of a dirty or questionable STD test result, from no other than JJ himself. And the site is no worse off for the loss of one last JJ video.

Wow Tampa! Ever give any thought in to starting your own Blog? I mean, I found it all very interesting and since I haven't been a member as long as you, I've not really followed the history of Jimmy Johnson all that much. I could identify with the feelings you conveyed through your post as; my own welled up feelings for certain "characters" from The Real Housewives of: New York, Atlanta, Jersey, Orange County and even Beverly Hills! Everyone one of these shows does the same thing. Eventually, one of the Housewives becomes my least favorite character and one of them who I didn't like, becomes my favorite!

I liked Jimmy long ago! And now that I've read your comments, I have to side with Mikeyank on this one! Maybe Jimmy is the character that everyone is going to "Love to Hate" but, I think I dig him even more now! He's all about business! The business of making paper! He's still making paper as we speak!

[ In my mind, Jimmy wins again. and I'm proud of my boy![/QUOTE]

Although I haven't seen past episode 4 I will comment about JJ. He doesn't really win because he's alienated even more people from liking him because of his personality. Maybe he's a great guy in real life (I doubt it) but I would be embarrassed if I were him and Mark brought me back to do the show strictly because I was an asshole!! People like that are sad individual...

LOL Betu. He does succeed at being the character on the show we (or I should say I), love to hate. "Hate" being a rather strong word. I can think of few people on the planet who I truly hate. And JJ doesn't even come close to that. "Strong dislike" would be more apropos. Without talking about JJ today, what if anything would have been posted about a tv show Mark and staff have sunk so much money and effort into? I still urge others to talk about episodes they've liked or even disliked so far.

If we are to admire JJ, perhaps it would his skills as a scammer. Because time and again here at Broke Straight Boys at least he managed to overpromise and under-deliver in his scenes while still making money. It takes a certain finesse and charm to keep going back to the same well for more cash for substandard work, and getting it. He tried the same old shtick on Sha and was going to get away with it before they had to cancel the scene. You can kind of imagine him working his routine of, I'm so straight and this is so difficult for me. But if you give me more money I will very reluctantly do you the favor (out of the kindness of my heart, mind you) of sucking dick.

From 2011:

"Imagine how boring this forum would be without Jimmy... the straight in Broke Straight Boys.com"

Well, I imagine the site would be able to make room and spend money on other straight models that appreciate being here and doing their job with respectful consideration of the hand that feeds them. We'd get more models like, Conner, Colin, Bradley, Anthony, Chad, Bobby, Rocco, AJ ... why is it that all of these guys "get it" when it comes to performing for a paying clientele, yet Jimmy still continues to get away with showing up and doing a performance that could've been phoned in AND THEN turn around and insult everyone AND STILL call all of us whiny bitches et al? He's had a year of time and exposure to step up his game and he hasn't. Nowhere else do you get that kind of chance in porn. If he hates it here so much, why doesn't he leave and offer his holier-than-thou talent to straight porn sites?

No other model on this site has polarized so many people ... THAT in itself speaks volumes.

All of those same issues can still rile us up about him (pro or con) today. lol

What you are failing to recognize Peter, is that while you and Tampa and others here may consider him an "asshole", he is obviously not alienating more people from liking him because he has been one of the most successful pay for pay porn performers in the industry over the past four years. He has consistently worked on many sites after doing 27 scenes for Broke Straight Boys including having an exclusive contract on Men.com where he did 36 more scenes.

I have a friend through another gay web site, (menwhoswallow.net) and he sent me a clip of Jimmy a few years ago, saying to me to check out this really hot kid, who he likes and thought that I would too. I laughed and told him about Jimmy & Broke Straight Boys And I have many friends who are currently or were in the past members of Broke Straight Boys who still really think he's hot. So besides the fact that Mark choose Jimmy to star in BSB TV because of his controversial nature, he is also a successful gay porn star who has made lot's of money for himself and for the studios he's worked for, and it's not just because some people think he's an "asshole". Gay porn is a business and if he were not producing and making money for the studios, he would not have continued to be hired.

Jimmy is certainly not to everyone's taste, but there is a market who enjoys his work or he would have been a flash in the pan and after his year here, he would have faded into obscurity, but instead he has made a name for himself and been quite successful in what he does. He won't last forever, as gay porn is mostly a very young man's business but Jimmy has beaten the odds to last as long as he has, thus far.

Again Tampa, I think you need to separate "reality" from "reality television" shtick. Do you really believe the whole story line that Mark and Sha decided it was time to film a Broke Straight Boys scene away from the studio while in Las Vegas, and that they decided it would be Jimmy's comeback scene, who they rehired for the reality show? And then coincidentally just as the shoot was about to start, after we watched the "walk through", suddenly Sha's cell phone rang and it was Sabrina with the inconclusive drug test results results right then? Wouldn't they have waited for the results before setting up the shoot? It made for a dramatic scene on the reality TV show, but it was hardly something real that had not been planned.

And of course Jimmy's ex girlfriend and mother of his children just happened to come visit him while he was at the Broke Straight Boys mansion for more television drama. Do you believe that typically Mark allows personal friends and girlfriends to come visit the models while they are staying at the house to film porn? If Jimmy was such a bad guy in real life, do you really believe that Mark would have maintained a relationship with him to hire him for DTLA and for BSB TV, years after their professional relationship ended on Broke Straight Boys? It was a television series with a story-line and none of what we saw was real.

New Episode Today 1/9/15

I set my DVR before work for 11:30 AM EST. Today's episode should make Tampa & Peter happy. The brief synopsis on HERE TV is:

"Jimmy gets kicked out of the house".

So that means that episodes 7 & 8 should be Jimmy free. :001_rolleyes:

Well what do you know. Scenes five and six have appeared ready to view on my TV. Between another scene with my main Love Paul ...The King...
I just don't know how I will make it through the day?
Damn work sure takes the fun out of things. But I will be looking forward to getting home tonight.

I admit Mikey that it had the hints of being somewhat staged. Especially since they had Sabrina on camera showing her end of the phone conversation with Sha. I know that many reality shows purposely script drama for the sake of the cameras. That said, I still think the situation was pretty accurately portrayed. Jimmy is not very good at actual acting. Neither JJ nor Denver gave any hint during the run-throughs that the scene was a sham. You would expect to see them betray a little of distraction and lack of focus if they knew they were only pretending to plan for a scene. I also thought I picked up on the strong possibility that Denver had already left the room to do his enema and cleansing in anticipation of doing the scene.

It's possible that their testing policy got thrown off track a bit by the filming of the show. I would hope that normally no model would even make it to the set until all of the STD results were in first. Maybe their system is to go ahead and film unless they get word from Broke Straight Boys staff that something is wrong...rather than waiting for staff to communicate to them the all-clear on each and every model. I imagine that a bad or inconclusive test result is quite a rarity. I would certainly hope that they would hold up any filming to get test results first. I can only imagine the havoc it plays on the filming schedule if even one model tests positive for any kind of STD.

So yes, they should always have those results communicated to all the staff before they have chosen the models for the first scheduled scene after the testing is done at the lab. You certainly don't want to get them all the way to set before you find out that some bad news has come back from the lab. God forbid Sabrina makes a call with bad news 2 hours later, after a scene has already started or been completely finished. I would not have minded at all if the scene shot in the hotel room had been Sergio or Paul with Denver for instance instead of JJ. If the scene wasn't a sham then it was a lost opportunity for us to have another Denver scene and it was a waste of time for the staff.

After all that though, we now know that Sergio and JJ both broke the quarantine of their last test result by double teaming some girl in Vegas. In an "Eifel Tower" sexual position no less. TMI! haha So neither one would have been safe to film after that. :/ Which just reinforces my belief that JJ is one of the more unsafe models for any other model to film with. He doesn't seem to have a problem with breaking quarantine by banging random sexual partners after getting blood tested, and quite possibly in between filming scenes.

We know that he had sex with the girl in Vegas. And he was doing so (either before or after) supposedly being told he might have an STD. If he was told that before he had sex with her, then he knowingly put her at risk. If he had sex with her before his scheduled scene with Denver (and before he got the news) then he put Denver at a double risk. Because JJ might have caught an additional STD from her.

And of course Jimmy's ex girlfriend and mother of his children just happened to come visit him while he was at the Broke Straight Boys mansion for more television drama. Do you believe that typically Mark allows personal friends and girlfriends to come visit the models while they are staying at the house to film porn? Oh come on Mikey... Really? haha

Of course Mark would allow JJ to have his girlfriend there. It boosted JJ's straight credentials to the audience to show that the site was not all a scam of gay models pretending to be straight. Having the girlfriend there was all for the sake of the show. To add intrigue and drama. It was certainly not just some personal favor to Mark's real tight "BFF" JJ. haha :001_rolleyes:

I haven't ever said that JJ was a bad guy in real life. Just that he didn't give much effort in his multiple mediocre scenes here, while always getting top dollar as a model under exclusive contract. If there's anything to be said for him being a bad guy in real life, he does that pretty well himself in the episode with "Boot Camp."

If we want to give JJ credit for having filmed as a minor character in a one season tv show, then fine. He did it and he can proudly add it to his resume of life accomplishments. But it did not require Mark to maintain some close friendship/relationship with him. JJ was still under contract at the time. The tv show was filmed while he was still working here.

Also unfortunately the DTLA show was not a huge success. This was still during the time that Broke Straight Boys had become the "Jimmy Johnson Show." It seemed to be all Jimmy all the time. JJ was featured in videos at least twice a month and often more. When there were events coming up and we were asked to guess which models would be attending...one of them would be, guess who? JJ. When a new BTS vid was coming out, who could we usually count on being in it? JJ. Mark did his best to get excitement going within the forum and the general membership for his new tv show featuring a Broke Straight Boys model. It was frustrating for him because it got very little interest from members. Once he told us the show would feature a Broke Straight Boys model and asked us to guess who it would be...well, that was not a tough one to figure out.

Since most of us in the forum realized that there was at least an 80% probability that JJ would be the Broke Straight Boys model on the tv show, people had little to no interest. On the few threads discussing the show here in the forum you could almost hear crickets chirping from the silence and inactivity. JJ was such an overexposed and unpopular model in here by the time the show aired, that it would have been much better received (among members of the site at least) had just about any other Broke Straight Boys model been chosen instead.

the inconclusive test results for jimmy is the reason will have an episode with Denver and paul. we know that there is an episode with paul and Denver. I don't think the plan was for jimmy to do the show, test inconclusively, throw off the porn content production schedule, have off-camera sex with a female stranger, and break major house rules.
jimmy at times could be a lovable asshole. he seem to enjoy throwing gasoline on fires.

Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy, I still have 4 more shows to watch. I sure hope there are some of the new guys to look at?
He sure sounds like the Star of BSBs first TV season.
How old are these shows anyway? Love him or hate him he sure has you guy's talking.
Up to now it sounds like the Jimmy show with Broke Straight Boys

If all of those events happened spontaneously, Sabrina reaching Sha on his cell right on the set of the show at the last possible second sort of "Perils of Pauline" style, just as the shoot was about to begin. What a lucky break that the call came through right at the last second. I don't buy any of it. My feeling is that Mark, Sha, Damian Christopher and whoever else produced the show told Jimmy to be his "JR Ewing" villain type role and Jimmy enjoyed getting into character. Yes it is him, but I feel he was encouraged to put it into high gear. When I met Sha at the Pride in 2012 he had already done a load of events with Jimmy, and he told me what a really good guy that Jimmy is, and how cooperative he was to whatever Sha asked on the road trips.

You would be very surprised. We had activities planned each day and these things just unfolded before our eyes. We never told Jimmy to be a dick or anything.

Were you disappointed or pleased as to how Jimmy acted in the show?

I get a big chuckle out of reading this thread! I have to say, based on my own history of watching soap operas, and reality shows, these types of discussions are what make them successful! There's a segment on Bravo Tv, where Andy Cohen, hosts "Watch What Happens". He has various guests from the "Reality Shows" airing on the Bravo Network. Many of the guests talk about events which occur on the show but, always make statements to keep the audience tuned in. Sometimes, audience members will text messages, or call in questions about, the characters or something that happened during a show. To me, it's what a successful show does, gets people's interest to the point that they want to discuss, share their feelings, try to figure out what's going on.....it's just the way it works! And by the number of people who follow such shows and their characters...illustrates what a success it is!

I see that episode 7 is being shown today on Here at 11 AM EST. The description on my TV guide says, "The guys have some fun on the go-carts". That's not a very enticing promo, but hopefully there will be more content than that. The preview at the end of last week's episode showed Mark and Sha talking about producer Clay being "bunt out" which could be interesting, however I wonder how "real" they will be in explaining Clay's departure from Blu Media which was never really explained.

Over-all, I think the series has been disappointing. After all the years of hype and during the last year with Damian Christopher posting on the forum, and he answered many of our questions about the site, with comments like we will get the answers to our questions when the TV show airs. Well, after six of the eight episodes, I can honestly say that I learned nothing new.

I'm also surprised that the long awaited and hyped show has received so little interest on the forum, from the site's most hard core fans. I purchased HERE-TV for the show and will of course cancel after next week's finale airs, and so I will watch the remaining two shows, but over-all I am very disappointed in the series. But I'm still very into the website and I hope that Sha's promises of better models and better produced scenes will all come true as we move forward.

Gotta agree mike .Very disappointing show. After near three years of waiting. Too sad, And not one review even from us hard core forum members.
Maybe now they can put all there energy (and money) into the site. Maybe work on the set. To looking like a place were boys/men would want to have sex. Get rid of all that crap. A place were we can see the boys and not all that junk on the walls.
It looked good on Bryce's video. We saw him. All that junk took away from the boys.To bad about the show. But we still have the site.
Just work on making it the best site on the web. For me the show was a bomb. But I still love BSBs.

I watched today's episode and I enjoyed it. From the preview last week, I thought that Clay was going to be fired, but instead it was Johnny Forza. I also finally figured out that when models spoke about Shane, it wasn't Sha who is Shannon, but Shane Heiser who we knew as Clay. That's confusing.

They also said that Johnny after 43 scenes was getting lower ratings, so if that is accurate the ratings count more than I realized. Again, I have no idea what is real and what is staged for the reality show, but I enjoyed this episode more than the previous six. One more to go next week.
