Getting back to the first episode though, I found other things quite interesting. I loved when Sha talked about how the site created a community where members got to interact and create relationships with one another. For non members of the site it was left rather vague as to how that was accomplished. But we know he was referring to the forum.
And he was so right! He said one of the perks of the site that sets it apart from others is that the members are made to feel like they have a personal connection to the models beyond that of simple performers onscreen.
He said that things he takes for granted (in knowing personal things about the models I presume), the members find fascinating. And it's so true. If we find out that a model like Tyler has had a car accident most of us are very interested and genuinely concerned. If we find out that a model is having problems with his parents accepting him doing the video work, we're fascinated, interested and concerned. All the things that humanize the models for us are indeed fascinating.
I didn't know that a third of all internet traffic is porn related. I didn't know (but should have surmised) that the first internet sites to charge consumers and accept credit card payments online were porn sites.
Back to the first episode though I was both amused and annoyed by JJ's theatrics in the van on the way to be tested. He said he didn't care whether everybody was tested or not. The he would never ever do a scene without a condom. No way, no how. Acting like he is the one most in danger from the other models. The hypocrisy, the gall and the irony of his stance though is that if there was ever a model who would break the clean quarantine of the house models and have sex with a random stranger before doing a scene...it would probably be JJ. He would be one of the first people you might expect to see break quarantine after testing and have sex with some woman of unknown STD status. lol In a closet, in the bathroom stall of a club, in a car in the parking lot...wherever.
I just found it be typical JJ that he would act holier than thou about being super safe, when the majority of the models probably have much more to fear from working with
him, than vice versa.
