Please read the numerous negative postings on the ANDO solo video about this new guy "Johnny", cameraman/emcee. who talk TOO TOO TOO MUCH and always seems to want to let the audience know that HE IS THERE and shows us TOO MUCH OF HIS DAMN HAND

a good cameraman/emcee is like cosmetics - he highlights and emphasizes without being obtrusive/overbearing and tedious

the old cameraman/emcee understood his craft and his job to emphasize the attribues and asstributes of the models so that we, your customers and fans, would want to cheerily look forward to returning because we recalled a particularly naughty scene vividly with a thump in the jockey shorts rather than a cringe of bile...

I want to emphasize first that there are numerous threads on this topic and suggest reading those if you have not already.

Now I want to be fully honest. I want to say that I really do like the new style and new feel that our new DIRECTOR is bringing in to the scenes. I can agree with the opinion that he may talk too much sometimes. If that is such a problem, turn the sound down or OFF, or forward to the part where the model begins taking clothes off/doing whatever it is that brings you to this site. He has read through all of your comments and is trying his best to accommodate your needs as a viewer with the style of shooting that he is used to. You have to admit that he does a good job shooting. I can remember distinctly in a scene I was in where he was talking about keeping his mouth shut and making the scene hot for our members. He really does want to give you guys what you want and so do we the models. Just be patient and enjoy the current scenes for what they are. Maybe even as a silent film, you choose . I hope that you soon there will be scenes that involve more of Johnny's shooting "swag," if you will instead of his verbal.

Thank you Kelly for your frank comments. Dear Paul, for a year I found you to be the MOST exciting, fun, sensual, thrilling model in the business! High praise. I know our current models (with the exception of Jason) have never worked for any other director but Clay, the models who have commented about Johnny have been positive and they were excited about the new guy. I think the negative nancy's should let it go for awhile (not every scene) but a few months and then lets see if good changes are being done. Like I said this is my 3rd director and he's already my 2nd favorite. Keep an open mind guys!! I do believe that this is the "first comment" that I have read so far, where the model or management expressed their perspective of the new director and his techniques, and a member/observer of the scene's perspective "loss of passion and focus". The not so positive comments made thus far reflect mostly peoples tastes/dislikes etc... I believe that we all pick up different things when watching the scenes from this side but, that is quite a perceptive observation (in my opinion) that you have just given KellyG. I am not saying others didn't feel that too, just that, no one has put it that way yet. Very well put! Again I emphasize, we may still have a few scenes to go before the changes based on important comment/suggestions such as this one, have been implemented and released. Welcome to the Forum Brah!

That is how I see it too Peter! The models are also going through a period of adjustment with the new director! Having gotten very USED to the "formula" that was "Clay's way", is now, adjusting to a new style of doing a scene. Many members who've been around for a while have commented on a few scenes which are "reminiscent" of the Broke Straight Boys-1 style (of which they enjoyed). There was less "intimacy" but, passion in the moment of the act. I would like to see people ease up on the negativity myself but, I guess that is also what makes the forum what it is! The sharing of thoughts, ideas, and differing opinions!

The natives are restless and cantankerous right now. We've been here before many times over one issue or another. It usually has a positive side of bringing in more people to post. It creates a more lively interaction among people of differing opinions. That's part of what a forum is supposed to be about. That being, the sharing of ideas from people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences. It can actually be rather entertaining to watch people get worked up about an issue, whichever side they take on the controversy of the day. Let's enjoy it while it lasts before a couple months when people are complaining that it's boring in here. lol

Oh! Let's not forget that we have the release of the tv show to look forward to in 2014 also. At least I hope it's 2014. haha

I can't believe that members are still complaining about Johnny. I think he is trying. as Paul stated above, to improve to meet the desires of the members. Please, let's give his a chance to settle in and I am sure he will do just fine. Personally, I also found Clay to be a bore. He brought no life, humor or much of anything to the table. David, even though chatty, was the standard bearer for Broke Straight Boys for so long and it is against David's work that everyone else will be judged. That simply is not fair as everyone is different. Give Johnny a break and let him do his job. I think the unhappy members have gotten their messages through loud and clear and they will either learn to accept his style or will leave.

The sad part is that the models are the center of attention..or at least should be..and many are not letting that happen here on the forum. Let's get back to the entertainment provided by the models and enjoy it.

We are complaining about Johnny, still, because these videos feature a cameraman who is coming across, to (too) many as crass and nasty. More importantly his direction is having a negative impact on the performance of the key players, the models! Whatever the models are saying, their performance in these videos has been, IMHO, way below average. Furthermore, newbies Tate, Zander Floyd and Ando were clearly needlessly ill at ease by many of the questions and comments from the cameraman.

I've been a member for three years and am shocked and sad that mgmt has let this happen. The ongoing negativity is out of our concern for Broke Straight Boys not just to dish Johnny.

What constitutes "good porn" or "bad porn" is totally subjective, and it is impossible to definitively define. Under Clay's watch, Broke Straight Boys had become "broke pansexual boys" in my opinion, which some found very hot, with frequent kissing and often no talking between the models and the director. If you liked that, then the latest incarnation of Broke Straight Boys under Johnny's tutelage is bad porn. I joined when David was running the show as I liked to get into the model's heads a bit and enjoyed the reality feel of the site then where the guys seemed like real straight guys to me, and I'm hopeful we are moving back into that direction, but time will tell.

I don't see Johnny leaving in the immediate future, so it is up to the members to vote with their dollars by either remaining or leaving. I'm sticking around to see how it all turns out.

Thanks Mikey, I think it's important for members to see some positive posts from veterans like you and Tampa about the director change. And I agree with Paul "get the hell over it". I have never tried to be negative towards any member here, but I personally have heard enough. So if you don't have the patience to wait for changes to turn out and continue bitching day after day about the same crap then just move on!!!! The majority of members who have seen the changes over the years turn out to be okay are probably sick of the needless ranting over something we have no control over right now.

Which scene or scenes are you talking about? So far, I think the two non-solo scenes we've seen from the new director have been Paul/Damien/Cage Kafig and Damien/Cage Kafig, neither of which I think this criticism can be fairly applied to. If you feel that way about other scenes that have recently been released, I don't think you can blame the director - they were filmed before he got here.

Kyle, I would never "hate on you" for expressing your feelings and opinions. As I've said many times, what constitutes "hot" porn is totally subjective, and I loved David's style in BSB1. Yes there were times when he talked too much, but overall I thought his folksy ways were disarming and perfect to make the guys feel comfortable and non-threatened working for him. As far as his touching the dicks, I can only recall two or three times that he did it out of hundreds of episodes, and the two I remember with crystal clarity were two of the cutest, most believable straight boys in the history of the site, (obviously to my taste). They two were Alden of 'Alden and Robert' and Logan, and for me when I witnessed David reaching into their white briefs, I actually felt a jolt in my cock, as it was so out of character for David to do that and my feeling was "Oh yeah. Go David. I can't believe that you are doing exactly what I would want to do if I were in David's shoes". In mind, David was not doing it for himself necessarily, but for me, as I could not be there, and David was representing us sitting in front of our computers.
