I have been very curious about my new forum friend, Youngandconfused22.

He never posted on the "10 Random Facts" thread, so now he will have to play a game of 20 Questions with me, so I/we can figure out what makes this mysterious man tick.:scared::sign0050:

Here we go::nana:

1. Youngandconfused22, are you really 22 years old and confused, as your forum name implies?

2. If so, what are you confused about? Because, at that age I was still confused about a lot of things, and new situations, that I had to figure out, presented themselves daily.

I would like to join my friend Ms. K. in asking youngandconfused22 to let us know a little bit about himself. As we all come to the Broke Straight Boys forum for slightly different reasons, it is always interesting to learn something about our fellow forumites. If you are confused about anything in life, (aren't we all?), there are many wonderful, caring folks here who would enjoy sharing our own life experiences with you, as through sharing and comradeship, and friendship, we can sometimes learn more about ourselves.

I apologize if my previous exchanges with you have come across as "nasty" or "snippy", but we both obviously have very strong feelings on the subject that we have "butted heads" over, but I have many dear friends on this forum, many of which share your views on the model who is most controversial of all here.

Happy New Year, youngandconfused, and I hope you become a regular part of our Broke Straight Boys family here.

I would say at this point, "young" is probably 22. The reason I say this is because he has not responded to Ms. K yet which means he was out partying until the wee hours and has not gotten out of bed yet; I bet we won't hear from him until 5ish. Of course this also speaks to the three of us who are up before noon; you guys didn't go out last night either, hu?!
Here, while we are waiting...

Thanks for being interested in me. Yes I am 23 years old. I'm confused about a lot of things going on in my life right now. I have to make a lot of choices this year as well. As you guys probably know already I'm very outspoken and honest in my opinions and feelings. Not every likes me because of that.

Good morning Mr. Confused.:wavey:

I actually respect and admire people who have definite opinions and who are honest and outspoken. I only ask people to keep an open mind, and not to act as if their opinion is the only one, or necessarily the "correct" one.

Some of my closest friends on this forum have different opinions from mine, but we have learned to respect and embrace the diversity of people and opinions on this forum.

I look forward to finding out some of your other honest opinions, on issues other than what you have commented on so far.

And keep in mind that you are totally anonymous here. We don't know your name or what city you live in, so this forum can be therapeutic for you to say things here that you would never say to family or friends, in your everyday life.

Welcome to the forum youngandconfused22. It's always great to get a young person's perspective here.

You are correct Ms. K. In fact, I have a doubleheader today. My Dukies play at 5 PM, and my Giants take on Beth's, (and Jimmy's) beloved Cowboy's tonight!

Sorry Ms. K, I'm gonna step in again; bull in a china shop...that's me.
"Young," you remind me of my 19 year old daughter. She is graduating college this year and has some "choices" to make as well. Believe it or not, I am not the typical mom so I told the same thing I usually say..."you are going to live until you are 90, fuck up now, it's fun and by the time you are 90, you won't really remember or care about the shit you did when you were young." "I would ask you: will you take responsibility for your actions?; will you be happy with your choices?...then fuck yeah, go for it!"

Dear youngandconfused,

We have all been where you are now, young and confused. That is the bitch about life, but it is also the fun of it. I was raised VERY sheltered from life (except for sex) and when I was out on my own, i too faced many things that I found confusing and difficult. I made tons of mistakes, many of which I regret to this day. Still, I survived, and, as they say,, "if it doesn't kill you, it makes you stronger."

There are many wonderful, well educated, highly experienced, mature individuals here on this forum who have much to offer to anyone who is young and confused. We come here from many different cultures, ethnicities, education, and socio-economic groups. I encourage you to reach out to any of these wonderful people whenever you feel a need for advice, guidance, help, whatever. I recall wishing I had known someone in my youth, that I could have bounced things off, before acting.

I too am highly opinionated, but that doesn't mean that I take things too seriously. I have also learned to accept other's very differing opinions, and still grown to admire and respect them for their honesty.

You Are 23 yo, and the world is your oyster! Good luck, and may 2012 be a stellar year for you! We are glad to have you here! And please do the "10 Random Facts" ! LOL

SSSShhhhhhhh! JLipps, I traded him 10 Random's for 20 Questions.......with no restrictions. Think of some really good questions, and go with it.:001_tt2::nana:

Youngandconfused,

#4. Are you out to your family? if so, how long ago, and was it a painful coming out, or was your family accepting and loving?

Of course, you don't have to answer if you feel this is too personal.

It's not cause I'm not 100 percent gay. That's part of the confused part. Very specific types of guys turn me on. But I could never be in a relationship with one like a woman.

It makes sense to me too. And I get the feeling CHAD is the right type.:001_wub:

Youngandconfused, you missed question #3.............:crying2::smiley-sex020:

3. What are your favorite hobbies?

Life is not an "all or nothing" proposition

It's not cause I'm not 100 percent gay. That's part of the confused part. Very specific types of guys turn me on. But I could never be in a relationship with one like a woman.

Dear Youngandconfused,

In reality very few of us in life are truly 100 % on anything and being primarily gay doesn't mean everything in boxers, briefs, boxer briefs, jocks, or going totally commando must necessarily appeal to your sexual proclivities. We are creatures of conditioning(habit) and sometimes conditioning sends mixed messages.

The confusion comes in when the grass may occasionally appear greener to us for a brief moment and get an unexpected "rise" out of us when normally there would be none. I think limiting ourselves to a life filled only with the "unstraight and narrow" as a proper gay guy actively encourages us to think on those rarest of occasions of the "taboo" we have set for ourself. I think it is healthy to think outside of the box(no pun intended). Realize it is just a random fleeting thought and no more! How many of us have had those random thoughts about murdering someone when we normally are at peace with others and wouldn't hurt a flea.

As a gay man, I must admit that nothing turns me on more than a man wearing kilts, yet I have had no occurances in my memory of seeing face-to-face such fine plumage in the flesh, much less what is under those naughty kilts. Some people confuse attraction with a sense of style when one doesn't necessarily lead to the other. We all at any moment of life can become conflicted over something not typical with our sexual orientation. I think this is a positive sign as it requires us to take yet another look at ourself and the map we have charted. As this will soon be tax season, how often must we reflect on the information we provide to make sure that this is answered as honestly as we are capable. The same holds true with one's sexual identity. It is so easy to be untruthful in our thoughts and convincing us of something that is unrealistic to achieve. Life represents a constant struggle with our goals, our beliefs, and our self-doubts.

Best wishes to you, not only for resolving your sense of confusion, but also for a truly happy, prosperous, and confusion-free New Year! Also, Welcome to the Forum!:welcome:

Sincerely,

Stimpy

I love pop and country music the most and I have always been a very big gamer. Some of my favorite artists are. Lady gaga, Britney spears, Reba, sugarland, leann rimes. And many more I get made fun of because I have such a diverse taste in music. I love lots of movies it's hard to pick one.

I can relate. When someone is in my car, they notice that my College Dudes collection has Jason Derulo, Avril Lavine, Rascal Flats, Sugarland, Daughtry, and Matchbox20, and always have something to say about it.

I'm not a big gammer, but even I can appreciate Spyro and Angry Birds.:001_rolleyes:

5. What about sports? What sports are you into, what teams, and do you play or just watch?
