Wow what an interview

I am a cynic by nature so it is difficult for me to necessarily believe what some on a porn website say about their personal lives; but your sincerity comes across as genuine so I do accept what you have told us as your truth. I hope I'm not disappointed somewhere down the road, but I doubt it. I think you are the real deal. Welcome to our Broke Straight Boys tribe!!
Much like my friend Stowe, I too am a cynic and always take everything said by the models, the director, and the site owner regarding the model's personal lives with a grain of salt. But I feel that I have a pretty good "bullshit meter", and you Zeno Kostas do come across in your BTS as a genuine guy and I most certainly give you the benefit of doubt that you were truthful with us in your interview, which I do appreciate.

Whether you turn on to be a successful "gay for pay" porn model or not, I do think you are a good man, and I wish you all the best that life has to offer, in your future endeavors, be it in porn, in business and in life.

Well said, MikeYank. My only concern about Zeno Kostas's future on here is his interaction with the really old models. One such popular model had a row with an older model, and it cost him his Broke Straight Boys career.

I'm waiting too. You can't tell if porn is a right choice for someone until their in a 1 on 1. Johnny just type Y&C!!!

I saw this young man as someone who's had "An Awakening". I do believe his "faith" is strong in all aspects. I don't know, but will discover over time, if this will be "Just a job" or an "Adventure" for him. The one quality that he seems to posses, and shares with a few other of "my favorites" is; the "Romantic" quality. That's not always just sexual, for me, it's about being somewhat "chivalrous" when it comes to other people...and one's self!

Agreed Betu. Some may consider this a bit of hyperbole, but I think Zeno Kostas comes across as a real Prince Valiant kind of man. One who is not only looking out to save damsels in distress...but one who is kind and gracious to other chivalrous men as well.

While I wish I could agree that heavily with your perceptions, Tampa and Betu, and while I fancy Zeno Kostas above many other models, including and especially the archaic ones whose birthday suits of armor have rusted long ago yet they wear them out, there is something about Zeno Kostas that does not fit right. Is he live or is he Memorex? Is he real or a pretender as almost every other model is? Is he genuine, or does he tell others what he surmises they want to know? There are many truths a camera can detect and latch onto, but there many innate devices that can be hidden from the camera as well. Sort of reminds me of the old TV show, TO TELL THE TRUTH...Will the REAL Zeno Kostas please stand up!
I have confidence in him, and until he proves me wrong, I shall remain confident in him, his abilities, his talents, and in whatever bullshit he wants to tease his audience with, if only to make us smile. He has charm, and no one can take this from him.

Zeno Kostas, unlike Louis, I easily offend and do it with deliberate fluidity. Oh, wait - Louis said at his age, he is beyond being offended.
All seriousness aside, Zeno Kostas, I like to believe subscribers have decent taste. When I fancy a model, I tend to download all his scenes, regardless of his performance, even if the model with whom he is paired sucks (and not for pay.) I downloaded you, so while you were away from posting, I enjoyed viewing your performance, so all is forgiven. If, however, you persist at this, super busy or not, well, you already know what has to be done! (LOL)
Good to have you back.

Well you should have another to add to the collection tonight.

Thanks Zeno Kostas, that was a very honest look at you; I hope only good things for you here, and in your life. I think it's a great place to be!:2c: Like you, I'm a pretty happy person and believe "what you send out, you receive." I wish you all the goodness and success that you are looking for, and can't wait to see you in Austin for Pride this year!:001_wub: Maybe we can meet at the "Iron Cactus" for a margarita...bring your girlfriend and I'll bring my husband, Steve!:welcome:

Ahh good. You watched the interview. I thought it turned out really well. I didn't get to see it before it came out so needles to say, I was nervous of how it would look.
I've never been to "pride" before although I'm thinking that this year I will try to attend with the Broke Straight Boys crew. They like to go to them and since they will be in our area, I'm sure they will have me tag along with the group. If I find out anything, I will be sure to let you know so we can arrange hang out :) I think it would be awesome to meet you. Be sure to tell me that you are Beth from the forums.

I think that it is safe for me to now tell you all that the death in the family was in fact my older brother.
My brother was my mentor, my support, and my protector. His death really destroyed me, and since it is still a touching subject and at the time of the interview I didn't want to share such an intimate thing with the world.
But now that the interview has been released I think it is ok to share this.

Wow Zeno Kostas!

I would like to just wrap you up in a big hug right now. I do feel like you've let all of us know you much better. So much of what you said resonates with me. First off though please let me offer my condolences on the loss of your family member. I can only imagine how tough your childhood got after that passing of your relative.

I really admire the maturity with which you view the world. I also really respect that you went back to high school classes rather than opting for a GED or online alternative. Now you can call yourself a high school graduate with no hesitation or asterisks that you need to explain. And if college is something you want at some point in your future...even ten years from now...you don't have to shy away from that for lack of a diploma.

Also, while I don't wear my faith on my sleeve, I too am a person of strong faith. I can very much relate to wanting to see the good in people and the rest of the world while trying to choose love over fear. I know you have already told your girlfriend about the video work and that you are still working through it. Of course I send you my best wishes to you in resolving that issue. One thing I have found very helpful on my spiritual path is to invite the Lord and Holy Spirit into tough conversations like that beforehand. Ask Them to help guide you through with the right words to say. Let Them give you the words so you don't feel like it's all on you. :) If you are inviting Them to join both of you, I think you'll find that you'll have much more confidence and less fear. Whenever we can be present and more serene, even in stressful moments, our better angels will naturally carry us through and allow us to present ourselves in the best light.

Many hugs Zeno Kostas! And thank you again for the interview. :001_smile:

You are absolutely right. I walked the stage for my own pride. I did it for me. yes it would have been very easy to get a GED or online diploma but it wouldn't have been the same.
I love the fact that you touched on inviting both the Lord and the Holy Spirit into my conversations with my girlfriend. I do this but not only in that situation but every aspect of my life. Every tough, confusing, and emotional situation, they are there with me.

Zeno Kostas:

A very forthright presentation of who you are, your background and what you want for yourself in the future. You have told us about your conversation with your girlfriend and I hope her acceptance is growing. (And please Zeno Kostas when you make a topping scene, please be an aggressive and dominant top, because that is the personna that you have!)

You wont be disappointed! I promise! I fuck on camera just like I do in real life. You'll like my aggressive ness ;)

Zeno Kostas, please accept my heartfelt condolences over the passing of your brother. I have lost many loved ones, particularly my most precious wife, our only child, two siblings, and one of my godsons, so I can relate with how your heart is twisted with the angst of mourning. And as you know, I counsel seniors who have recently lost loved ones and are unable to cope.
Zeno Kostas, I am a movie buff. If you recall, I am in the same side profession as JohnnyBluMedia is with Broke Straight Boys inasmuch as I produce/direct videos for various persons and reasons. One thing I learned most invaluable from ET - THE EXTRATERRESTRIAL is when ET points to Elliott's forehead and says, "I'll be right here." Hold onto your brother in your heart, and he will never leave your soul.
And one more thing, if you shall permit me - not to harp on your grief: When a person loses a loved one, he goes into a period of moUrning. When you remove the U from moUrning, you have a brand new MORNING. Take all the time you need, my friend. Know your fans - your REAL fans - are right here, waiting beside you as long as you need. And if you choose not to see what you are doing on here through, you will have disappointed NO ONE.
Peace, my friend. If you ever want to talk, you can PM me on here. I am ever at your service.
Spanks, Zeno Kostas
Cheers.
Jack

Zeno Kostas, I am an early riser and viewed your interview this morning at 4:30 am. You appear to me to be a very deeply spiritual individual. You mentioned the tragedy led you away from you faith, but then you came back stronger. Sometimes a person needs to step back, take a deep breath and reassess their positions in life. I too left the church for a while for reasons I have alluded to in other posts. I walked around for a few years as if living in a vacuum with a big hole punched through my heart. Then came Viet Nam and my best friend was killed there immediately upon arriving. Instead of mourning for him, I praised him for his courage and determination in his attempt to make the world a better place. Upon hearing the news I quit college and joined the military myself. It was through the comraderie of my fellow air men that my faith rekindled itself in my heart and I came out a stronger person. Stay true to yourself and all will be well.

Peace,
Louis

First Louis I want to say thank you so very much for your service to our country. Growing up it was always my dream to serve our country. I always wanted to be a super hero, and as a child i realized that being in the service would be my way of accomplishing this dream. unfortunately this dream was crushed when i was told that i had health issues that would prevent me from serving.
I also am sorry to hear of your loss, but ultimately this is what led to you gaining faith which is truly a good thing. This is just the type of thing that the lord had explained to me was necessary for me to grow as an individual and i hope that you look at it this way as well.
Thanks for your support Louis and i look forward to all the feedback that you can give in the future.
P.S. be sure to tune into my oral scene tonight. This may sound selfish, but DONT VIEW IT FOR JJ's ROLE. VIEW IT TO SEE MY PERFORMANCE.

***************************

Hi, Zeno Kostas!!!

I'm with Tampa. on this one. I think you will find that the Broke Straight Boys group is not only very diverse, but also quite supportive, too. And the biggest thing I hope you get from this experience is not simply the money to pay off your debts (which is important!): but also, the opportunity to meet some genuinely kind and caring and supportive people, who will (very respectfully) care about you, and BE your friends.

A couple of things I would mention to you, Zeno Kostas. First, I have a couple of good TOTALLY STRAIGHT friends who did JUST what you're doing at Broke Straight Boys, to make money and solve problems with debt, and get through college. (One of them actually APOLOGIZED to me for NOT being gay. . . when I got to know him. It is a weird thing, but, on most American sites, gay guys like to think the models are STRAIGHT - even if they are gay; and on most European sites, gay guys like to think the models are GAY - even if they're straight ;-)

Anyway, Zeno Kostas, what you should know is that these straight friends of mine, who appeared in male-male erotic video, MADE the money they needed to make to pay off their debts and go to school; MARRIED their girlfriends; and now are HAPPILY married, with children. (And mostly, with successful careers.) I know that, at the present time, appearing in erotic films is an unconventional career strategy, BUT - it can work out OK.

Second, like Tampa, I really appreciate your faith, which I also share. While I have many friends who are atheists or agnostics - my boyfriend, for example, is a convinced atheist! - I'm a Christian, and not ashamed to say so, and I think having this bedrock of faith as a foundation in your life, will be a great help to you, as time goes on. And, you might be surprised (???) ~ but amongst your gay viewers (and ultimately, fans): there are more of us who share your faith, than you might imagine, and will support you, in it. (Though TAMPA is going to be the BEST of ALL of them, I have to say ~ because Tampa is a SAINT.)

Third - where I grew up and went to school, there were lots of GREEK-Canadians. . . and I have always truly been grateful for their presence in my life! (A Greek-Canadian girl who went to university with me, just happens to live around the block from me, now: and we had SUCH FUN together, in school!!!) Yes, there are drawbacks to growing up in ANY sort of ethnic background (my Mother was Scottish, and I will tell you all about THAT, sometime!): but, for sure, all the Greek families I have known have been VERY STRONG on faith, family, and community - and taking care of one another. Those are very GOOD things, Zeno Kostas, and inasmuch as those things might be part of your experience: rejoice in them, and carry them ON!!!

Zeno Kostas, I know that MikeYank will be VERY pleased to have a genuine, certifiable, STRAIGHT guy, on the site - because he loves that!!! (I don't care so much - - - I just like guys who are cute and nice, no matter what their inclinations ;-) But, since you ARE a straight guy, I want to say: THANKS for sharing some time, and some personal moments, with us. (It helps more of us lonely gay guys, than you can ever know!) And ~ all the best with your life and love, and with your beautiful girlfriend!!!

I wish you all the best,
~ "A" XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO

P.S. We are all going to be loving you. And your Christian friends are going to be praying for you, too, Zeno Kostas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO17DIeI7Ec

I loved the video by John Rutter.
I am definitely not going to let my decision to do "gay for pay" film define my life. I mean obviously some doors have been closed. I will never get to work for the government or be a movie star or even a famous musician, but to me, the sky is the limit. Truly the odds of me doing any of those things before i came to Broke Straight Boys was slim to none anyway.

I do look forward to hearing about your mother... when ever your ready or the time is right lol
My Greek family is big on faith, family, and community lol you definitely hit that right on the money
Thanks for you feedback A
Be sure to tune in tonight for the release of my first guy on guy scene.
Zeno Kostas

Be sure to tune in tonight. It is my first "man on man" scene. Unless your waiting on some anal scenes lol. I have no Idea when The first scene like that will come out.

Just make sure what should NEVER come out comes out. Keep it CLEAN.

Thanks Mike I appreciate the feedback.
With me, what you see is what you get. Thanks for the best wishes. I am keeping my fingers crossed, and keeping high hopes of having an awesome future in the porn industry. Probably because I wish to be the best at anything, and everything that I do. The way I look at it, if I am going to put my time, and effort into it, I might as well be the best at it.
