Where is MikeYank?

Hi, guys ~

I used to post on this forum, from time to time, but - when Jason Matthews retired from Broke Straight Boys (or whatever happened) - for the most part, I did, too. I have retained my membership, though, for the excellence of the archives. (And yes, some of the new productions - particularly Brandon's new videos.)

StudddAndy - your criticism of MikeYank (and other old-timers, who are nostalgic for the days of Broke Straight Boys-1, and Broke Straight Boys-2) was pretty cruel, in my opinion. But your apology was timely, generous, and (I believe) genuine.

For sure, StudddAndy - I have had some of these self-same arguments, with Mike. I have never believed that a majority of the models from even the "golden age" of Broke Straight Boys were as "straight", as was always suggested - nor did I CARE about that, either. (I just like to see hot guys, doing what they do BEST ;-)))

But I think it is important to remember that this site styles itself, "Broke Straight Boys" - and so will always be a magnet for those for whom the "believable straightness" of the models, is important. And, perhaps, has a responsibility to them, also.

What IS important to know is. . . (and I address this both to StudddAndy and Leewb). . . I have known MikeYank for many years now, and this I can tell you, with certainty. On this whole planet - descending into chaos, as it is - there is no kinder, more thoughtful, or more generous (in his spirit, or sentiments) person than MikeYank. He loves this site; he loves this board; and he loves everyone upon it.

If he expresses a little nostalgia, for times gone by - you all ought to cut him a little slack. Nothing Mike ever says is ever offered in a spirit of meanness, or unkindness. He is a very gentle man, and everything he offers, is offered kindly. I know no one, in this world, who is possessed of such an irenic spirit, and such a passion for gentle, and tolerant, friendship.

And all here, ought to remember that. In fact, I daresay, even those of us who will never get to know or speak with Mike, in person - will be constrained to concede that we have NEVER had a better friend.

Stowe, of course you frequently drive me NUTS, and our personalities and agendas are not exactly. . . compatible. But your defence of Mike was both valiant, and eloquent, and I thank you for it.

StudddAndy, your apology was both gracious and sweet, and it is my hope that you and Mike will be able to pursue a great friendship, on this board. Leewb, as you have precisely expressed a distaste for others weighing in on topics remote to them - I would only say, likewise, that I am sure that, as you get to know Mike better, if you DO get to know him better, and are willing - all misunderstandings will be mended.

Last, Mr. Bartirah - your posts in this thread caught my eye because, not only do you seem like a very KIND, and WELL-SPOKEN person. . . any great Jason Matthews fan is, prima facie. . . a friend of mine. Jason was the reason I signed up for this site, and the reason I stayed for so long, Mr. B.

Love to all,
"A" XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

So I think you might not like it... But I am not sure, I just remember the subtitle to the picture said something about putting the two tallest boys in the house together...
OH.. I am just a jealous Sicilian. Afraid he might just carry Tanner off.

Hi, Mr. Ambivalent! Nice to meet you! Actually, I am not a Mr. I am a Miss! lol
Jason wasn't what brought me here, since I am new around here, but searching the archives I discovered him and, oh my God... He is amazing... I immediately fell for him.
Again, nice to meet you... You like Jason and you like Mike, so we already have a lot in common...

Thank you so much Ambivalent and of course Bartirah. I am back and posting and would like to let this whole matter rest. But of course I do appreciate both of your's and everyone else's complementary thoughts on this thread. It is flattering and I will try as best I can to have learned something from the criticism offered to me, but as the late Sammy Davis Junior once sang. "I Gotta Be Me". lol

Dear Miss Bartirah ~

I am SO EMBARRASSED. I haven't been around these parts for a long, long, time, and so I have doubtless missed that crucial information, about you!!! I DO apologize - and heartily so.

But, given your forgiveness, it is a great pleasure to meet you!!!

Kisses,
"A" XOXOXOXOXOXO

P.S. I am not here often, but I'll look for you.

Oh! Jason Matthews! This should be in Blast from the Past really, but he was such a sweetheart. He did scenes from 2008 to 2014, and every one a winner. We got to see him grow up. If Broke Straight Boys is going to bring back some of the veteran models, I would sure like to see Jason again.

Loved the scene with Paul and Jason. Jason's ass never looked more Beautiful.Could be my favorite scene...Don't think Jason ever did a bad scene?

Not that I have seen. He is a beautiful guy, inside and out.

Ambi, I remember well when you posted here and while I agree with most of what you posted, I will respond only to those things directed at me. If you will go back and re-read my post you will see that I had no problems with mikeyank and expressed that in my first post on this thread, my issue was with Johnny and his habit of posting the same thing(s) ad-nausium. It was Mike who decided he needed to insert himself in that matter instead of letting the two of us deal with it. Even then, I did not have an issue with Mike until he pulled the cheap shot on this thread by - using his words= attacking me in a post, referring to hiding in the grass or some similar verbiage, and then running off to hide so I beg to differ with you on how kind, etc., etc. he may be. I still actually have very little problem with Mike, I just view him much differently now and and do not consider him so impartial.

I was hoping Mikeyank would stay off for awhile so Tampa could take over with the most posts as its always been lololololol but no the loud mouth just couldn't stay away!!!

With major issues resolved, can this thread just end; and everyone move on to other matters?

Stowie, this thread can/will end when posts stop being made to it, of course. Now, I don't know which "major issues" have been resolved so I am unclear on that as I have only a minor issue, I must have been gone? Certainly, everyone can move on to other matters, and just like every forum member should do, I will only be posting my opinions, my feelings on different matters, taking advantage of the fact that everyone is encouraged to make their opinions known on all matters forum and site, after all, this site should not be made up of people who just want to build up the site, it should contain opposing opinions and those who want to tear down the site, too. But like before, we shall see. It is an option, though.

I certainly agree Stowe. This thread was started by nitefly who called it "Where is MikeYank?". That was very sweet of him, and as a result of the kind comments here, I have now resumed my posting, so the "major issue" of the thread has been resolved. And so as far as I can see there is no need to rehash the reasons I had taken the moratorium on posting, so I wholeheartedly agree with you Stowe! And following in the footsteps of a great man who I admire very much I say:
