Whats happened/happening to BSB?

My bad! See, to me it is not a big deal. Yet, perhaps a lack of good judgment on my part. Like the original Mikey - he came in straight, said he was leaning bi, and by his 12th or so scene he said he proudly claimed the title of gay. I believe the viewers still appreciated his work as he stayed on for some time. Ian seems to still have a solid following. I count myself among them, but I am not judging models by how straight they are/aren't. I do, however, understand the "from the get-go of the web site members" perspective about the changes that have occurred over the decade.

It's just that because it was Ian , it struck a bit of a nerve with me. Because I really like him. Gay or not. Many of us members seem to have certain models who we feel protective of. Of course if any of us feel protective of them, it's usually because they've taken some grief or even bullying in here in the past from people who didn't like a model and/or his work. Admittedly while I don't feel that I've ever bullied any models, I have been on both sides of the same fence. That is, me giving negative feedback about a model that somebody else in here liked. For myself, I feel protective of models like Blake Bennett and Ian among a few others. So if I find info about any certain favorite models of mine online that I think would give their detractors in here more ammunition, I purposely don't share it with the forum. I think you can see the logic of that. lol

I apologize if I've been mean towards Ian, but you must admit Tampa that you've been as mean if not meaner to a certain model that I respect and admire, Jimmy Johnson, so the pendulum does swing both ways.

Oh. Well thank you Mikey. I wasn't fishing for any apologies. I was just making the point that many of us have favorites among models in here who are not always well regarded by other members. And yes. T'is true. I have been far more harsh in my opinion and comments about Jimmy than you ever have towards Ian. It does always feel better to be the one defending a model instead of being the one dishing out negative feedback. It's part of the human condition though that some people in life we are going to just adore, while some others we will strongly dislike. Ideally we can strive to only increase our expression of positive regard for the former and greatly temper our negativity towards the latter. In a perfect world, eventually even all of the latter would eventually become one of the former. lol

While I think the production quality here is the highest its ever been, I personally find that the recent models -- say over the last year and a half -- are nowhere near what the older ones were. And that's not to put anyone down. It just is what it is for the various reasons mentioned already by others, and just my own personal preferences. But I'm a fan of the Broke Straight Boys classic years with models like Sklyer and Cage Kafig and Jeremy and Braden. Back then they truly seemed straight and nervous and awkward. It was exciting to see them take each new step into the gay for pay video scene. Back then it started out slowly and built -- first they did a solo scene and then an oral scene and then went into anal. Now there are very, very few strictly oral scenes, and everyone goes straight into anal (see what I did there? Pardon the pun!). As someone who prefers the oral scenes there is less and less here for me. So after some thought I've canceled my membership. I'll keep an eye on the site and if it seems to be swinging back into the format and models that I like then I'll be back. I will miss lurking here -- the membership is very nice here. But with so few new models who interest me and almost no oral scenes anymore its just time to move on.

Thank you for your post Scott. I am sorry that you are leaving, as you are a good guy and I love Broke Straight Boys and I want to see the site continue and thrive, and with members leaving, that is a bad sign, but at least you expressed yourself, rather than just cancelling and dropping out of sight, silently. I really hope that management reads your post and takes it to heart.

While my "golden years" here go back further than Skyler and Cage Kafig, the message remains the same. I know and understand that we do have members here, both old and new, who enjoy the current style, but I have to believe that there are more than just myself and Scott and Jack who made the original post on this thread who think that the site should go back to basics, with at least some models, and not have them all getting fucked by their second or third scenes. There are so many sites on the internet featuring hot guys fucking each other. Let Broke Straight Boys be unique and offer something different.

I for one do not want to go back-things have changed radically in gay for pay over my many years. It gforp started with str8 men with hoods on fucking queers. Stroke off only, then jack off with someone else doing it, then paired up jackoff scenes, then the pairs jacking each other and on & on until we have Today 2015.
