Vadim Black ‏@VadimBlack___ Apr 5
As I grow and mature as a person, I realize I have no sexual preference, nor do I label myself as any type. I make love to who I make love 2.

Wonder what if anything this has to do with being largely silent on social media since his "fund raising" went viral and caused an uproar.

My personal opinion...if the kid ever gets his head out of his ass he could become a marketing genius. LOL :001_rolleyes:

Since I can't think of anything nice to say about him right now... :secret: lol

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha.....those responses are.....perfect!! :clown:

If I like a scene it is good. I enjoy watching it. If the model doesn't turn me on I don't like it. You guys get too close to these guys thinking they are real friends. It's like teenie bopers in a fan club. Who gives a shit what Vadim Black thinks or is he telling the truth?

1. What qualitative and/or quantitative criteria does a model have to possess to be able to turn you on?

2. You say if a model doesn't turn you on you don't like "it". Does the "it" refer to the fact that the model doesn't turn you on or does the "it" refer to the scene itself?

3. If the "it" refers to the scene itself, then it is logical to presume that whether or not a model turns you on is the only criterion you use for determining whether or not you like a scene. How do you determine whether or not you like a scene if one of the models turns you on but the other model does not?

4. Are the criteria you use for a model to turn you on immutable or do you apply different criteria depending on the type of scene and his scene partner? If a model doesn't turn you on in his first scene, do you not watch any future scenes he is in?

1. Your use of "you guys" is factually inaccurate. "You guys" is a universal noun; in this context, the universe being those members of Broke Straight Boys who post on the forum. Since I never received an inquiry from you as to whether I consider myself too close to the models or if I consider them like real friends (and I doubt any others have either), then you have no basis for making such a universal statement. To say "some of you guys..." would be more accurate because you would have forum posts of some who refer to the models or specific models as their friends you could point to as supporting your contention.

2. It is disparaging to your fellow forumites to refer to them as "teenie bopers"(sic) in a fan club. There is nothing wrong for an adult to be a fan, an admirer, of another person's talents and work whether they be mainstream artists or porn actors.

3. I can only speak for myself but I am a fan of certain of the models here. I like their appearance, the persona they put forth, their physical attributes, and the fact that they through their work can provide a 74 year old fag a way to fantasize about having sex with a hot guy. And there is nothing wrong with that. Do I consider them my friends, no. And I generally don't care what they do or say. But if they lie about something which ruins my experience, then I will call them on that - not because they lied and broke some kind of friendship bond which doesn't exist for me. Or in the case of Vadim Black and a few others in the past, if they talk disparagingly about the gay community, as a Gay man, I will call them on it. Why? Because they have made a nice living off gay men and women and they turn around and insult us and call us fags, etc. I've done that in the past even with mainstream artists like Donna Summer, Better Midler, and Cher when reports circulated that they had each made some disparaging remarks about us. None of them as well as Vadim Black and others here have been or are my friends. But there are times when what they have said or what has been reported as what they said does make sit up and take notice as a gay man.

Someone has too much time on his hands!! Take a grade school English course!!

The reactions here don't seem all that "friendly".
Perhaps you're not familiar with what Vadim Black has said about his gay audience on blogs, on his MTV reality show appearance and here on the forum. He is an extraordinary looking young man and for him to have so many turned against him is something that he did the old fashioned way, He earned it. lol

stowe1, 74 and gay or not, I think I'm in love with you. Okay, perhaps it isn't you so much as your straightforward, cut the bullshit, take no prisoners attitude. Thank you for keeping it real.

You guys get too close to these guys thinking they are real friends. I
I don't now, or have I ever considered Vadim Black or any of the models my friend, I've never spoken to or in any way communicated with any of them. Yes we speak of, speculate about and fangirl over these guys. So tell me, what is the difference between us and and any group of people who do the same, say fans of WWE or Nascar or The Bachelor/Bachelorette folks. There is none. The entire point of the forums is for Broke Straight Boys members to connect.

I started this post because I couldn't find the original one which was started when Vadim Black started fundraising for his last business venture, a venture he was widely panned for and called out on. Not long after the porn community gasped at his scheme, the LGBTQ+ blogs and news publications started questioning the validity of his business enterprise. Suddenly less than a month after Vadim Black made his big announcement he went silent; no more announcements, no Twitter feeds clogged with his fundraising requests, nothing. This is a kid who knows his way around social media and posts a lot and he was gone, for several weeks there was only silence. Then two days ago I opened my Twitter and there he was, Vadim Black, looking pretty and announcing that he will no longer label himself. Wait, what? This is he same kid who called the gay community a bunch of deviants and said that if some guy actually hit on him he'd get a beat down. Don't get me wrong, I sincerely hope he has grown and matured, we were all young and ignorant and said stupid shit. However, I'd be more inclined to believe him if his statement had been accompanied with a sincere apology, not to any one person, not even to anyone here, but to the community that has provided him with a paycheck.

I'm grateful that I have a place to talk to others who enjoy Broke Straight Boys My love of gay porn is not a secret I hide, but in all honesty there is nobody in my life with whom I chat about porn. So I came here to share the latest in the Vadim Black saga, largely because I hoped others would get a chuckle at the absurdity that is his career.

I think I'm falling in love with you Sammigirl. :001_smile:

Just please don't ask me to put out. LOL

Me too Sammigirl. This is very much the place where we can be ourselves and talk about what we love and who we love openly. In the short time you've been a forumite, I don't always agree with you but I love the way you think and express yourself.

Not going point by point! For me and for the VAST SILENT MAJORITY OF THE MEMBERS HERE this is a porno site. Plain and Simple! Some say here why is it so quite here? The forums were created to discuss the scenes and rate them. Your type of response to what I said is a big reason why people don't post. (BTW you have every right to say anything you want any way you want)
As for what I like or don't like. It's not just me it is each of us whether we post or not. If I like a scene OR actor I know it I don't need criteria or great analysis to know that. My cock tells me. This is not a thesis we need here. It is not a job
it is a fun place to enjoy what we see. The forums should reflect that too (again say and do what you feel comfortable with).
This is a forum on a porn site on internet my choice of words or spelling or grammar is UNIMPORTANT! You are on internet not a classroom. I have 3 degrees from a prestigious university yet I chose to write as I feel. No need to worry how I post. It's a fun place or should be or i'd go somewhere else.

I respectfully disagree with much of your premise, joeychuck. First of all, I totally do agree that spelling and grammar are indeed totally UNIMPORTANT and that my cock tells me what is good and what is not.

But I disagree that the forum has become quiet in recent times due to "over analysis" of models or scenes. It is true that the vast majority of members are the "silent majority", but that has always been the case, even back when the forums were jumping with new posts practically all day long by so many more members than there are today, with folks from all over the world participating. And in the heyday of the forum, we were even more analytical and speculative about the models truthfulness and motivations.

Go back in time on the forum and read all of the opinions about models like Dustin, Danny, CJ, Austin, Cousin Mikey, Mike Robbins and all the rest. They all had supporters who worshiped their every scene and comment and others who accused them of being divas or too gay or untruthful in their words on camera. We had tons of forumites ready to criticize as well as complement as well as to discuss the social scene, music, pop culture, politics and our own personal life experiences, or to laugh and tease one another as this was social media to several dozen regulars and newbies before there was social media like facebook and twitter. This forum became a very special place to so many and still is to a few hard core holdouts, (mainly me, lol).

And of course there always were and still are some who only use the forum to comment on a current scene and not participate in the other types of banter and fun and games and that is fine too. The forum can be and is whatever we want it to be.

The real reason that the forum has become so dormant in my opinion is the fact that the "golden age" of internet porn is over due to reasons that have been enumerated over and over, but the bottom line is that less people are willing to pay for porn when so much is available for free. As a result, Broke Straight Boys has reduced the subscription costs and are offering former members significantly better deals to rejoin but I firmly believe that there are significantly less members than in the past, thus a lower number of participants on the forum. I don't think the percentage has changed, just the raw number of current members.

There have always been members who complained and quit because of perceived cattiness or bitchiness or cliquishness but they were always replaced by new members who enjoy the banter here. Unfortunately there is now a smaller pool of members to have forumites from, in my opinion and the quietness on the forum has nothing to do with what is being said on the forum, as the same type of shit has always been said and I would know as "Ive been here forever". lol.

I opine that both comments make good points. The fact remains, some people come for the porn and some people come for the forum. And, a lively discussion is always nice to read either way!

I think we can all agree this is a porn site

Some say here why is it so quite here? The forums were created to discuss the scenes and rate them.
"An Internet forum, or message board, is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages." Part of the reason for thread titles is to give a participant a heads up as to the thread content, thereby giving them the option of sitting out any they might not be interested in reading. There are a great deal of threads in these forums that I skip for just this reason. Example, I'm not a fan of solo scenes so I skip those threads that reference them in the title. If you don;t like something, find something you do like.

It's a fun place or should be or i'd go somewhere else.
On this point we agree. It is fun here on the forums, it's an escape from the unrelenting drudgery that is all too often our daily lives. It is an opportunity for me to connect with people I would not otherwise meet. I live in small town Vermont, if there are any 74 year old gay men in my place of residence they are either closeted or I am unaware of them. I'm not sure advertising in the weekly paper is the right option for seeking them out. "Are you a gay man? I'm a 50 year old straight woman, looking to strike up friendships based on a mutual love of gay porn." <<< Made myself burst into laughter with this potential ad.

I guess my point is this, the forums don't need to be and shouldn't be limited by an either/or mentality. #1 likes his forum to be about discussing scenes and rating them. #2 likes his forum to be chatty and more personal. #3 (me) thinks the forums can and should be both. There is room for both here, just as there is room for differing points of view in life.
