I guess the one thing we might all be able to agree on is that there will be no Vadim Black-Damien, Vadim Black-Paul, or Vadim Black-Damien-Paul scenes any time soon - lol!!
LOL Stowe. I wouldn't count on it.

Actually Stowe, I would love to have a three way filmed tomorrow with Damien, Paul & Vadim Black, and for them to release it ASAP. Talk about a passionate scene with all the raw human emotions. lolAll this drama over models on a porn web site is beyond belief. I don't give a shit if model a likes model b or model c or not. I come here for hot, sexy, erotic videos. Hey, DC:
Thanks for your response - it was gracious and measured.
But, OMG, I guess you are from the Leno era. . . but: did you ever meet Johnny Carson???? I would love to hear THOSE stories!

This was during the Leno Days. Never met Johnny, but Jay Leno was a really funny and nice guy. Very gracious too to his employees. It was a great experience.

Hi, there is nothing more to say about the situation except that two models have beef with one another and have decided to play it out on the forum. Not the right way to do things. The majority of our guys are good friends and get along during their stay here, There is mild drama from time to time, but that's to be expected when you deal with young guys like we do. We run a tight ship and expect our models (new, and old) to treat each other with respect.
Vadim Black's return was funded by himself. He contacted me, we talked, I spoke with the team, and it was unanimous that we allow him to return. The first thing he told me that he wanted to do was to apologize, not only to everyone here, but also to his fans. That's when we decided to do an impromptu interview.
Vadim Black did several scenes while he was here and I must say he was spectacular in his performances. I think you will see a new, and more humble, Vadim Black in his newest work. Again, he is under contract not to speak a word about his experiences with his former studio and we respect that. If he told you everything it would be very damaging to a lot of parties involved. We run a classy operation and bashing another studio is not what we do. More info on his experiences with that studio will not come from us.
I say it time and time again, but what you see in the BTS is what it's really like around here. We have a show coming out this year that shows even more. It's not staged. No other company has attempted to allow a peek behind "the red curtain" like we have. On the show, you will see the guys having issues with each other, forming alliances, sharing their personal stories, dealing with their personal demons, and much more. You can see much of that in the official trailer.
I like Damien Kyle, but I think his choice to say the things he said may have cost him several fans and respect. I hope he'll rebound, but time will tell. Same thing with Paul. I love these guys, but sometimes they don't make the wisest choices. But while it's no excuse, they are young and feel very passionately about what they do. They do a lot to promote Broke Straight Boys and their concerns, I believe, are a result of their love for Broke Straight Boys We stand behind our models even when they are not at their best. Hopefully Damien Kyle and Paul can move past their grievances with Vadim Black and allow their work to speak for itself. And to our members, Vadim Black is back and ready to entertain you. He's a hot guy with incredible sex appeal and is ready to give you the best scenes he possibly can. Let's save the drama for the TV show!

Well,
This has been quite a weekend. . . we've almost been our own little TV series/soap opera ;-) Last weekend, I'd told Johnny from SF (kisses, I love you, Johnny) that I was going to take a little break from the forum because of gallbladder issues - but, my gallbladder got a little better, and the forum got a little worse, and it just became too entertaining ;-))) LOL!!!
My feelings about this, I would sum up this way:
* I don't really have a dog in this fight because (though I almost never say such things publicly): though he is very nice-looking, Vadim Black isn't really my type, and I've never even watched one of his videos. (I hope that doesn't hurt his feelings - I know he has lots of fans, anyway.)
*I responded to the thread because I was upset about some of the things Damien Kyle said to another1, mt, and Jon. I'm all for free speech, and understand that Damien Kyle (and Paul) have some concerns about Vadim Black (maybe even big ones, and legitimate ones) - however, I 100% agree with Jon that they would have been better-settled in-house. What's more, I WISH that Damien Kyle (much as I like him) hadn't chosen to vent on people who were just trying to say something KIND, and supportive, to someone else.
*Damien Kyle (and Paul) should know that we, as members, don't know the inner workings of Broke Straight Boys, and the conflicts and disputes that can occur. HEY, I am sure that we ALL have our own conflicts like that in our own offices, too. . . and we just kind of have to get along and solve them, as best we can. But to ask members to take sides with one model, against another model - is really not a cool thing to do. Unless someone's life is in danger, or something!
*The worst case-scenario, in this situation, is - let's suppose (and I don't think it's totally hypothetical) someone is both a big Damien Kyle fan, AND a Vadim Black fan, as well. By confronting him with extraneous and unverifiable information, you put that fan into a terrible position - of feeling like he has to make a CHOICE, and defend one model against another. And even if a member has the power to MAKE that choice, and express his (or her) opinion - there is really nothing we can do about disciplining staff, or SOLVING the inherent problem, anyway. All WE can do is express our opinions: and that only adds fuel to the fire - it certainly won't douse it!
*I like Damien Kyle, and have always enjoyed his performances. I know he's very passionate about Broke Straight Boys, and works hard to promote the company. (I of course didn't mind that he leaked that video. . . now, MY bosses would fire me for doing something like that, but. . . I work in a different business. And that scenario all worked out OK in the end.) I appreciate all that.
*My only issue, in this whole thing, is that Damien Kyle was a little bit mean to some nice members, who were trying to BE nice, and could never have had any knowledge of the things he was worried about, anyway. It's not for me to say, but I think if Damien Kyle had it in his heart to tell those guys, personally, that he kind of flew off the handle on them - it would go a long way to showing that he's the good guy we think and hope he is????
***********************************
On the plus side of this whole discussion:
*Tampa, as usual, has it exactly right. (I think perhaps he ought to be appointed the official chaplain, of Broke Straight Boys?) He rightly said (to paraphrase): "Damien Kyle had a bad day, and flew off the handle a little - but who amongst us hasn't?" (Well, TAMPA hasn't - because he just seems to be immune to such errors - but I know I AM NOT, 'cause I'm a MAD CELT, and I get wildly emotional at the drop of a hat! ;-) And Tampa further suggested that Damien Kyle ought to be forgiven - and I think so, too. But I would say, out of concern for Damien Kyle (as I would, say, as if I were his old gay Uncle, as I am many people's favourite old gay Uncle): "Damien Kyle, we appreciate your honesty and passion and connection to people - because these are the most wonderful things about you. But, to take good care of yourself, in the future, it will help a lot if you try to work in a more consensual and planned way, with the people at your office." (Damien Kyle, Louis, who is a First Nations Elder, can give you lots of pointers about working things out in a consensual way - and I am sure he would be happy to, and: talking to Louis will give you access to some GREAT wisdom - and lift your spirit UP!
*Anyway, Tampa inspired me, as he always does. He is such a lovely, lovely person - and always the voice of reason, and caring, and forgiveness, in every discussion. I don't mean to be sectarian, in any way, but (just from my own perspective) - Tamps always reminds me WHY I am a Christian - even though I don't always make such a good job of it. More than that, he always reminds me what it means to be a GOOD HUMAN BEING - and that's universal.
*It was really lovely to see our beloved Paul Canon posting again - though I wish the circumstance had been different! Paul, we love you, and please come back and talk with us about happier subjects. I know that just about everyone on this board was moved to tears by the beautiful BTS video you made with your family - and even if you don't want to talk about that - you should know that so many of us really care about you. And we MISS your conversation, about fun and friendly things!
*The unexpected silver-lining of this whole contentious thread, for me, was getting to know DChristopher, from BluMedia, a little better! DC, you are so thoughtful, rational, and kind - and such a good advocate for the site - it was really a joy to read all the measured, and healing things you had to say, this weekend. You are definitely a person I would like to know better! And it was super-interesting to hear that you worked for Leno. . . one of my best friend's husband is a TV critic, and goes on tour to L.A. twice a year, to meet the producers and the stars - and I love these stories. Your life sounds fascinating to me, and you are just such a nice guy, too!
**************************************************************
That's it, that's all. That's what I took away from this weekend, on Broke Straight Boys I will say one thing. . . you guys are never boring!!! LOL!!!
"A" ;-))))XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
What a wonderful post. Thanks for the kind words and I love getting to know the members, what they like, and what we can do to improve our content. Broke Straight Boys is only going to get better because of all of you.
Damien, while a nice guy, tends to take matters in his own hands and fights fire with fire, His leaking of the trailer is one example of that. That's who he is. Coming soon is a sit down BTS interview with Damien Kyle that will explain a lot about why he reacts the way he does.. Also, negative comments frpm models made to our members won't be tolerated--at all! I apologize to all involved on behalf of Damien Kyle and hope that this will be a lesson for him.
While I'm curious to hopefully hear the answer to Bobbity's question, is it okay if we actually talk about the interview now? lol
Part of me wishes the aftermath of the interview video had unfolded within a vacuum. We are led to believe that we were given a sanitized version of the circumstances of Vadim Black parting company with Broke Straight Boys months ago. Since I don't have any information not already shared to confirm or refute that, I'll mostly move past that portion of the video. I'm very sorry for Vadim Black that his mother disowned him and kicked him out at 18, 19 y/o. Many of us in here wish that his family was the only one we've ever heard of to do that.
I was greatly heartened by the fact that the Broke Straight Boys family in Denver offered him a helping hand when he needed it the most. It just offers up more evidence to prove the good character and altruism of the Broke Straight Boys staff and management. Because Broke Straight Boys is unique in letting us get to know the models as real people, it really does seem to bring out the best in the fans. I found it very interesting that Vadim Black believed that all fans of his work would just objectify him sexually and not give a flip about him as a person. Therefore it made it easier for him to figure that fans are the same everywhere. That if he leaves Broke Straight Boys fans here, he'll just get replacement fans elsewhere. Of course he found out that that's not always the case.
I found it interesting that he said after he left that his Broke Straight Boys fans were still offering him support and even encouraging him to get out of the business if it was leading him down a dangerous or unhealthy path. That's just what I would hope from Broke Straight Boys fans. I can't even take any credit for that myself since I only dabble in other social media and was not in communication with him. I did read some of his twitter posts and was quite worried for him and distressed by some of the things I read. If any of you fans who reached out to Vadim Black when he was in a downward spiral are here in the forum, then I thank you.
The person we see before us in the interview is certainly a wiser and more worldly man then we met in January. I'm sorry he had to learn so many lessons the hard way. Especially when the staff tried to tell him how awful other studios out there can be. Some of the biggest complaints I've heard about stereotypically awful sites is that they either have rampant illegal drug use, they sexually abuse the models or last but not least in regards to money...they don't pay them as much as they are promised, they don't pay them on time, or they don't even pay them at all. So Vadim Black's experience at another site sounds about right and fits the stereotype.
I welcome Vadim Black back and wish him well from this point on. I certainly hope this all works out for all concerned. I would never want to be judged by all of my immature actions when I was just 18-19 y/o. I was glad to evolve out of that age. lol
I apologize for any typos or mangled sentences. I'm very tired right now. It's been a long day.
Apology accepted DC, you are indeed a breath of fresh air to the forum. You have imparted so much information to us in the limited time you have posted, all good stuff. I also like your interviewing technique and, take the Vladim interview, you obviously studied your questions carefully before filming, and were careful not to tread on any ground that may cause embarrassment or legalities. Well done xx
