What a wonderful post. Thanks for the kind words and I love getting to know the members, what they like, and what we can do to improve our content. Broke Straight Boys is only going to get better because of all of you.

Damien, while a nice guy, tends to take matters in his own hands and fights fire with fire, His leaking of the trailer is one example of that. That's who he is. Coming soon is a sit down BTS interview with Damien Kyle that will explain a lot about why he reacts the way he does.. Also, negative comments frpm models made to our members won't be tolerated--at all! I apologize to all involved on behalf of Damien Kyle and hope that this will be a lesson for him.

There have been a couple of comments not his thread that Damien Kyle was rude, mean (probably not the exact words) to myself and some others. I didn't take his initial post that way. Though I think his first post was off it didn't make me made. Email, text, message boards are so easily to take things was too negatively. Damien Kyle was speaking his mind. I might not totally agree with it, but I'm approaching this situation with his experience. Most people I know do not speak his mind. I might not agree with his opinion, but he has a right to his views. You can bet if we were face-to-face I'd talk to him more about it. With age, I will bet Damien Kyle will temper how he expresses himself. Don't we all? With age, comes more and more wisdom. I do not think Damien Kyle needs to have his butt kicked for his comments. I for one do not think he needs to apologize to me. He might need to apologize to Vadim Black... maybe not... that's for Damien Kyle to decided. Should be look at Vadim Black with a fresh pair of eyes... I'd say yes (but maybe he has). I'd bet you money that Damien Kyle has read almost all of these posts. I have faith that he will take all of it in and grow. He might be pissed at first, but he'll grow. We all approach life from out own directions. When Damien Kyle learns to respect and look at everyone's unique views he will be okay. I'm 45 and I think every day I have this thrown in my face... I'm still learning!

Haha! Good question. Sha and I have been dear friends for many years, He asked me to come on board and produce the TV show since that has been my career for the last 15-20 years. I started out on the Mickey Mouse Club and Star Search,and eventually went on to work on ER, Family Matters, and then onto producing music videos, independent films, and epk's for new artists (Missy Elliot, Da Brat, Christina Aguilera, and others--dating myself now). I left the industry for awhile to work in advertising and the fitness industry, but got back into it as a director of commercials and documentaries.
The BSB TV was delayed for a few months while we re imagined it and I ended up being hired by the company full time to manage some of the non-porn aspects of the company and do the BTS. I was here for 6 months before I was even comfortable with going to the studio, lol. BluMedia is a great company to work for and doesn't fit the mold of what you hear or read about porn companies. I credit that to Mark, Sha, Sabrina, and Chuck who are down to Earth, professional, and just good people.

All this drama over models on a porn web site is beyond belief. I don't give a shit if model a likes model b or model c or not. I come here for hot, sexy, erotic videos. I guess the one thing we might all be able to agree on is that there will be no Vadim Black-Damien, Vadim Black-Paul, or Vadim Black-Damien-Paul scenes any time soon - lol!!

I should probably leave well enough alone with that comment, but I would not be me if I did, so here are a few observations:
(And please note some of these points have been made by several people, so these observations are NOT directed at any one.)

1. Vadim Black's interview - We learned on this thread that he was contractually prohibited from talking about the reasons he left the other studio, so what came across to me as I watched the interview as evasive really wasn't. The one area that he addressed in broad generalities which I wished would have been more detailed is why he left Broke Straight Boys But what I came away with from this interview was that Vadim Black had a lot going on both psychologically and emotionally and bit the hand that fed him and left Broke Straight Boys after they had been a lifeline for him. Hey, that happens. Kids do that to parents. I have had friends who have done that to people. But Vadim Black to his credit realized the error of his ways and was man enough to call Damian Christopher and Mark and ask for their forgiveness and a second chance. Some poster paraphrased Jesus' Parable of The Prodigal Son. That is an apt comparison here. And I give the Broke Straight Boys guys mad props for being the forgiving adults.

2. Damien Kyle's Outburst - While I was a strict disciplinarian raising my kids, I also always told them that they were allowed to express their views as long as they did so in a civil, mannerly and respectful way. I also drummed into them what was drummed into me by my parents, i.e. you don't air your dirty laundry in public. To me Damien Kyle violated both these tenets. He basically accused Damian Christopher of being disingenuous by lobbing soft questions to Vadim Black. He was also disrespectful to DC and Mark by airing this dirty laundry in public. And the fact that he is 21 or 22 does not excuse him for doing these things. As I also always told my kids, there are always consequences to your actions. Usually but not always good consequences for good actions and bad consequences for bad actions. To whatever degree Broke Straight Boys determines, those negative consequences are between Broke Straight Boys and Damien Kyle.

3. Damien Kyle's "J'Accuse"s toward Vadim Black - Damien Kyle's earliest post here was not specific. In my first post responding to him, I said he had to be more specific if he is going to make allegations against someone. And he did so. Like a jury, each of us has to evaluate these accusations and make a judgement as their merit. As I said in my quote above, I don't really care to know what models like what other models. That's gossip and that's not the purpose of this site or this forum, at least in my estimation.

4. Piece of advice - In his reply to Jon on page 1 of this thread, among other things, Damien Kyle said, "We all saw what happened last time we were about to leave". He is referring to the kerfuffle which arose when there were rumors that Damien Kyle &/or Paul were leaving. Yes, he is correct there was a vibrant discussion. But that event didn't come to pass. But some advice for you Damien Kyle: Don't let yourself think that your and/or Paul's leaving would bring this site to its knees. It won't. Popular models come and go. Just ask the guys who have been here a long time. When Mark and David went their separate ways there was an uproar from the people who have been here for a long time and who really liked David, but not many quit the site. Yes, you and Paul are both popular and have many fans, myself included. But there will not be a rush out the door if you and/or he leave. It certainly won't be the death knell of Broke Straight Boys It seems you might have let your popularity go to your head and make yourself believe that Broke Straight Boys couldn't survive without you. It can.

my shorthand version of the prodigal son was never received with an such angry response before. the message was one of forgiveness.
I have met several models, mark, sha, and damian, never did I feel talked down to before.
sometimes the first step toward forgiveness is realizing that the other person might be a complete asshole. no one should be blamed for that.

These are so many interesting and sometimes, revealing posts. And some have been very impressive in their ability to express their observations as well as their point or view. DChristopher stated "I like Damien Kyle, but I think his choice to say the things he said may have cost him several fans and respect. " That would apply to me. Sometime company stays a bit too long and need to move on. Despite their obvious popularity with many members, I would not grieve if both Paul and Damien were to go back to traveling...indefinitely. This whole thing has certainly colored my opinion. I realize that I am in the minority here and that's OK with me. It's just the way I feel. I agree that Broke Straight Boys is a classy outfit and I have faith that they will continue to entertain with new and interesting models and I look forward to that with much expectation.

Maybe Damien Kyle thought this was a clever way of absolving himself from J'Accuse, but irrespective of how these comments come to our attention, they ultimately came from the same source.

While those of us who participate in the forum do not comprise a majority of the members of the site, we try to be a good sounding board of sorts for the quality of the content and marketing of the site. Even during times when the quality is not up to normal Broke Straight Boys standards we try to explain what's working, what's not, and why. Sometimes we may be stingier in our ratings and reviews than the overall ratings would. Sometimes it's the reverse. Sometimes we're more generous with our ratings than other non-forum members. Most of the time though there are many of us who feel almost as invested in the success of the company as some of the staff. lol

While on the face of it the leaking of the trailer would have been considered a bad move, fortunately as Mark says, it turned out to be a marketing success for the tv show. So I'm pleased that that ended up having a happy ending. Damien Kyle has his own personality and he can be over the top and forceful in his views. Much like some of us members. For those of us members in here whom he might have offended, then the apology is welcome and appreciated. I'm fairly certain though that it was never his intention to offend, even if it might have been an end result for some. So I neither expect or require an apology.

For myself I neither expect nor require an apology because I never took personal offense. I do see this whole unfolding to be much like the story of the Prodigal Son.

I honestly think that its not really fair for anybody to keep saying negative things about damien while hes blocked as he doesn't have a chance to defend himself against anything thats said. Yes he may have said things that some people think as inappropriate but he was just trying to let people know his thoughts about the situation which is what the forums for. Yes model against model isnt nice on here but in sure some people would rather know his opinion as he has been with the site along time and so he gets to see the ins and outs that we dont get to see. He is obviously very passionate about loyalty and if he thinks that someone is being dis loyal when they've only just been given a second chance he is bound to be upset and when he sees people who he believes dont know the facts he obviously wants them to know what he does. But if mgmt decided to move forward without either model doing anymore scenes then please let us know. I keep my current membership for these two models (plus a few more) and I love the forum, but I do have other social media circles to hang out at and frankly porn is free on the internet. I agree we should give Vadim Black a second chance and I praised mgmt for that decision, but not at the expense of Damien Kyle and Paul.

Like peter said things change. The only thing that has happened is that Damien Kyle and PC have had their posting privelages taken away, this is possible a temporary thing. Chillax and think it's Xmas in 19 weeks
