First, this was just an awful scene. The pairing, the attitude, the actual performance. Second, dont believe a word that comes out of Lucas's mouth. there is no doubt this young man has had sex with men before and I dont think he is nearly as bad off as he portrayed. In many ways, I agree with you Jon.
BUT, Broke Straight Boys is fully aware that there are now going to be a lot of BTS footage.....they are the ones that told us that. So, with that being said/announced/enacted, Clay needs to think about the "back stories " he has the guys give in the scenes. They should be fake stories or information, not fake personalities. It is the two completely different personalities that will send everyone screaming, not the circumstances for their appearance on Broke Straight Boys

This all kinda makes me chuckle. I sort of agree with Jon, on all this, actually. My sense of this, is, as follows:
#1) If this is REALLY Broke Straight Boys, there is obviously going to be a high percentage of "fails", in new models' videos. That doesn't turn me on, particularly (I'm here JUST for the CUTENESS, not the STRAIGHTNESS, but I know a lot of guys like the basic premise. . . and the downside of that premise - if it gets acted out on video - is that there will be NUMBERS of awkward and less-than-inspiring videos from time to time: maybe LOTS of them! Though in this case, I think the awkwardness is truer from Mike's coign of vantage, than from Lucas' ;-)
#2) Obviously, the writing department got things a little out of synch, with this video, and its dialogue. Since we all already know, from the BTS videos, that Lucas is, in fact, a pretty cool guy, and not really homophobic at all ;-) As to the "farm" back-story - well, who knows? In my experience (having had a couple of friends who have worked in this industry): these kinds of back-stories are usually constructed with a KERNEL of truth, and a generous dollop of (sometimes rather baroque) embellishment. This is an entertainment business, after all!
#3) This is a big reason I like the BTS videos, so much. If they WANT to (though nothing is ever GUARANTEED) the models get to break out of their screen personae, a little. And I know that those of you who've been lucky enough to meet some of the models at various Pride Festivals, and things, have gotten a taste of this kind of interaction - as I likely never will! (Though, if Broke Straight Boys ever brings JASON or Blake to the arctic-circle Pride Festival: boo-yeah!!! ~ I'll be there, with a tray of hors d'oeuvres, and a bottle of Mumm's!!! LOL!!!
#4) I think some people have been just a little too tough on Lucas, as regards his physique. . . I don't like gym-queens, at ALL, and MUCH prefer a guy with a natural, "guy-next-door", look. Lucas has a sweet face, and a sweet smile, and he sucks c*** like a champ! As well as being (just as Jon said) charming, and a great conversationalist. (Though his charm didn't shine through in this episode, like it did in his interview with SHA. I think sequencing was the problem. But I agree with Johnny - I think Lucas is CUTE.)
#5) I think Mike is pretty cute, too! I love super-lean guys, too, and I certainly love those beautiful pubes, and that lovely treasure-trail, of Mike's! I think Mike could do really good things on the site, if y'all just give him a chance. . . And, anyway, I thought that was what Broke Straight Boys was ALL ABOUT: breaking in straight and RELUCTANT guys, to give guy-on-guy sex, a TRY ;-))) I feel like I have enough patience to see if Mike could go a little further!!!
In conclusion, I think this is one of those "developmental" videos, that Broke Straight Boys is famous for, and that I sort of thought a lot of members cherished! As a teaser and a stepping-stone, to better things to come. I am not so much in this camp - again, I just love the CUTENESS, and long for a good, polished performance in every scene. . . but I am SHALLOW, and. . . I thought I was in the minority, on that question! LOL!
I think this is a good video, just to chill about. If that is indeed what happened, then I think the lesson to be learned here is not necessarily that nervous reluctant models are a lost cause...but that you take great risks by pairing 2 reluctant nervous newbies together in the same scene. Broke Straight Boys-1 had some great scenes with nervous, reluctant models. So it can be done.
A newbie and a more experienced model is more likely to calm nerves and give something worthy of viewing. Except it seems when asking a nervous inexperienced newbie to top an experienced model. The results of that have not been so good.

Pale skin on models may be part of the price for moving the studio from Florida to Denver. It's frickin cold there now. haha Not a sunny beach in sight on which to lay out and tan.

We were warned ahead of time as to how this scene turned out. The non forum membership surely felt blindsided by it though. This scene should not have been released as a regular update...if at all. At best it should have been put into the BTS section where it would not have been treated on the same level as a regular update.
I'm sure that the move to the new studios did not help Clay and his team to build up an extra supply of scenes. I'm sure Clay would love to be a full month or more ahead of the game with scenes already filmed and in the can.

Well I've just watched this. The film lasts just over 16mins and everything seemed to go ok (apart from the fuck comment around 11 min mark) until the last minute. Michael got hard pretty quick and it looked as if he enjoyed his dick getting sucked, unless he gets hard for no reason. The fact that Michael made no effort to suck Lucas' dick in return and the bit of a rant from Lucas stating he wish he didn't have to do this, suggests to me that this was staged. Someone mentioned that this film should have been in a bloopers section, he or she could be correct however, there are many films that didn't make it over the years and simply were not shown. This film was shown because people asked for it - whether it should have been shown in a weekly update slot is another matter.

I'm really new to the site but I've lurked around the forum to get a feel of what everybody's talking about. Most of times, I'm like "who's this character? why is this like Lost season five?", as models seem to change their aliases, have pet names and I'm not up to date on management changes and stuff.
But I think a "Previously on Broke Straight Boys" recap would last hours before actual new scenes got started...

A waste of my time. Terrible scene. I like Lucas and will keep an open mind about him for now. Need to see him more before I give him thumbs up. Mike needs BSB2 to give him his walking papers. He never appealed to me and after this performance I don't want to see him ever again.

This was exactly the point I was making before,Jon!! It was obvious to ME that it was staged and I had also implied that when this approach was tried previously it was NOT a success and did NOT go at all well!! When I had asked the question as to how this went, I really wasn't being sarcastic for the sake of being sarcastic (even though I sometimes am!!!
I think that Mike was so nervous that perhaps he never would have cum...on that day at least. Perhaps Lucas was a little over the top at times with some of his comments. But then, I can relate to his frustration of doing so much work and realizing that he may never get Mike off regardless of how tired he's getting or how sore his jaw is.
Tampa you do make a lot of good points. I know it's winter and they're in Denver but I bet even Denver has some spray on tan booths and if they don't use gels on set lights anymore I bet they can put it in digitally. Again this is just my opinion but when a guy is not in perfect shape I think he looks better if he has some color to his skin, it makes him look healthy and robust. Look at Tyler, he's not ripped but he's got nice skin tone so he looks healthy and sexy. I have no problem with Lucas' body weight, I think a husky guy can be sexy as hell in the right conditions with the right lighting and color.
Like I said Broke Straight Boys is not known for using proper lighting or sound. I suspect shooting scenes in a huge garage will cause a lot of sound problems but you'd think after all these years they would learn how to light a set. Sometimes there are so many shadows it's ridiculous. Then when they do a shoot in a smaller room it's so empty it echos like a stadium.
If Lucas' attitude during shooting was all a put on and frankly I don't think he's that good of an actor then it was a mistake. I still stand by my statement that he acted like an asshole to Mike and it's the complete opposite of how he acts on the forums and in the BTS. Will the real Lucas please stand up.
If Broke Straight Boys is playing those kinds of games it makes me feel dirty and used, I'm insulted. It's cool to hear the models talk abut their life a little but if it's all going to be a script or lies then don't bother just shut the hell up and fuck already. No, it wasn't a surprise I pretty much guessed it was Mike who they said walked off the set although I didn't see him walk off I just saw him say he didn't think he could do it. That didn't bother me and it didn't bother me that they used it as a regular scene. What did bother me was Lucas being a jerk and the way he talked when he was working on Mike. If this had been shown in sequence it probably wouldn't have bothered me much at all but the fact that Lucas has been on here kissing everyone's ass then seeing him act like that was insulting to me. Don't worry about it, Lucas. Sometimes the discussions on this board can make you feel like you've been dropped in a shark tank without a Cage Kafig, but don't sweat it. I thought you were damned hot in this scene. I'm sure Mike is a great guy, but that's not the same thing as being cut out to do gay porn. I'm thinking he just might not be. ;-)

No need to apologise Lucas - we all make mistakes at work and one is only as good as their next fuck up. Broke Straight Boys are to blame for showing the scene but they have done this before and not looked at the content before showing a scene. If the next 2 scenes follow the same path with some of verbals shown in this one then that's bad but we will have to put up with it and believe it was all an act. You should have listened to Clay but it's history now dude, so let's move on.
BTW thanks for replying on this thread. It takes a lot of guts to face the Broke Straight Boys forum mafia... LOL
