Together with Eddie, the other half of D&E (dave and eddie), David runs the guys through the "script" for the shoot a couple of hours beforehand. We are not in as much disagreement on this as you might think. As this last scene shows I don't think that all side by side j/o scenes are bad. What made this one work for me personally was because many things went so much differently from the other scenes that I didn't care for.

For example both guys were new to us. So just seeing what they looked like naked was going to be a surprise. Something to anticipate and really look forward to at the moment of truth.
