when i first saw the coming soon photo, i pm'ed mark and ask him if Broke Straight Boys would continue to update on a regular basis. he said, yes!
i thought the target date for new material had been set for february.
i am sure mark said february.
on or around december 27, david said, that there are about 6- 8 weeks left.
that would be sometime in february.
perhaps, i am overthinking thing, but february is what i come up with.

I can tell you that all new Broke Straight Boys coming in April 2011 and if possible we will have some previews of the new stuff hopefully in March. We are all meeting at the end of this month to brainstorm and organize everything. The new Broke Straight Boys is going to be brought to the next level.

I for one am sick of the same old song and dance that we have been getting for over a year now. They are just going to "brainstorm" at the end of the month. I think that if you are promising to take us to the "next level" , you would have planned it out already.
Whatever happened with the contest winner from last year? Is that part of the "next level"? That was a year ago and nothing yet.

I know from my marketing course that I am currently taking that it takes 5x as much money to get a new customer than it takes to retain an regular, steady customer.
So if anybody from Broke Straight Boys actually reads this and would like to respond with something other than the usual rhetoric, please pm me.
So, regular forumites you can now blast me for voicing my opinion.

I thank you for reading my rant and responding to it. I was under the understanding that the new content would start in January 2011. That is not the case.
I did not mean to imply that you had not been planning for the new Broke Straight Boys, it just seemed like that was what was being said in your writing in this thread earlier.
I have been with you and your site steadily since 2009, of and on before that. I feel that I have been a loyal customer, even though I had log in problems for at least 9 months. It me writing to you to get that resolved. With all that being said, if I need to wait a couple more months for the new Broke Straight Boys that you say is going to be worth the wait, I will. I take your word for it to be worth the wait.
I understand that College Dudes 24/7 is expensive to produce and was expensive to purchase. I appreciate your offer for a discounted price. I cannot take the offer due to my limited funding. I didn't read Mark's post that way, Jon. He said it was expensive to buy and maintain. If he gets enough income, it can still be profitable. Mark might also be willing to operate it for a short term loss if he his confident he can make a long term gain.

That said, I know where you are coming from. I had a retail store in that only lasted three years. I knew it was doomed after a year and a half and should have shut it down then but stubbornness and pride got in the way. That obstinacy cost me a lot of money.
