Request for feedback: Navigation

Hi All

Im working on an upgrade to the site navigation, in addition to a healthy list of other exciting upgrades. Ive already received some useful internal feedback, and I wanted to check in with you.

The purpose of the upgrade is to simplify access to the sites in the BluMedia network that you get when you join (bonus sites) as well as to our sister sites like College Dudes For the bonus sites, my goal is to implement a single-sign-on so its easy to flip between sites. Navigation should be simple, natural and intuitive. Ease of use and minimizing confusion are key goals.

Furthermore, I think its time to replace the frame based style used now, this is problematic for some users.

Here is the model I have now. Not all links work, feedback for style and location needed. Your feedback is important to me.

Thank you in advance.

WebMonkey

Dear WebMonkey,

I have Windows 7/Ultimate, IE-9, and McAfee Security Center. Recently the "Flirt-4-Free window is covered having only a Red O in the upper left corner with no apparent way to remove this white screen. Yet, when I go to your temporary link listed above, I'm at least given an option to remove the white screen if I so choose. Afterwards, when I go back to my usual link for Broke Straight Boys, it again denies me access to Flirt-4-Free. This only changed recently as I always had access to view the models.

How can I fix that? I have not changed my internet security settings and I have all of the latest MS security updates installed.

Sincerely,

Stimpy

Back in the day I setup the free bonus sites so it asked for your login again on purpose because really they are large bonus sites and not some cheesy site that was thrown together. I felt like it users logged in they would feel like it is more of a bonus site. I think times have changed and these days it's not really needed.

Dear WebMonkey,

Thanks for the feedback Stimpy. I really appreciate you taking the time to describe in detail. Im going to look into it tomorrow. thanks again

Hit the reply button to this comment, and in the smiles box on the right, there is a link to more. It will popup with more options.

We are using a popular forum software for all this, and perhaps their latest version has easier access to smiles, will have to research it.

I hit the reply button but no smiley box there. It used to be there in the past but I must have turned it off somehow and now can't figure out how to turn it back on.

I'm so glad that people mentioned the smilies. I love the variety of options available. The "but" of course is that it is maddeningly slow to download them (like 30 seconds or more) on my computer. And my whole screen is frozen until the download of smilies is complete. Then if I'm making some minor changes to the text...or I blink...and look back up, the smilies box has disappeared and I have to download them all over again. Even within the same post. I'm not sure though if that is just a technical glitch of my own computer or if that is a system-wide idiosyncrasy of the smilie software. Can we get them to where they load much faster and don't disappear in the blink of an eye?

Thanks!
