Request for feedback: Navigation

Hi All

Im working on an upgrade to the site navigation, in addition to a healthy list of other exciting upgrades. Ive already received some useful internal feedback, and I wanted to check in with you.

The purpose of the upgrade is to simplify access to the sites in the BluMedia network that you get when you join (bonus sites) as well as to our sister sites like College Dudes For the bonus sites, my goal is to implement a single-sign-on so its easy to flip between sites. Navigation should be simple, natural and intuitive. Ease of use and minimizing confusion are key goals.

Furthermore, I think its time to replace the frame based style used now, this is problematic for some users.

Here is the model I have now. Not all links work, feedback for style and location needed. Your feedback is important to me.

Agreed. It would be nice if we didn't have to reenter passwords each time.

Off topic somewhat I think it would be nice to not have to reenter passwords for each individual video that we view in the same session. I don't know if that's something you could change or not.

I like the newer format of the bonus sites! It makes them look much more inviting to jump into.

I used the link and had no problem, but I don't like when I go to College Boy Physicals or BFT and I have to scroll down, hit "enter" and then click my sign in again. Once I sign in to Broke Straight Boys, I should not have to reenter or click my saved login again. Thanks WebMonkey!

Thanks for the feedback. Think Single Sign-On, once you present credentals you dont need again. Thats my holy grail.

Dear Broke Straight Boys Webmonkey,

The changes to the format makes it is easier than slipping on a banana peel! I will always anything that offers a ray of , while the use of our hands isn't readily available, to normally take care of those personal matters well within our own reach!

One thing that would impress me is if the site made access to smileys easier. It's a bit of a ball ache at the moment trying to find one that suits your mood.

Excellent point Jon. The smilies do not appear in a consistent manner, and as I search, I often give up or choose a different one than I am looking for.

As long as you are into making improvements here, Webmonkey, how about upgrading the process of selecting smilies?

I just had to go through the whole log in process for BFT. You must have left me out of the upgrade..........

each bonus site still wants my username and password like the guard at the front door didn't already take care of that.

Ive not implemented it, I was canvasing for your views and thank you all for them. Its great getting so much feedback. Looks like there is alot of support for the change. And those smiles, you know I had the same frustration, but just put up with it, but I think that could also be improved too.

How do you access the smileys? The only thing that shows up when I do a reply are icons at the bottom of the page.

Hit the reply button to this comment, and in the smiles box on the right, there is a link to more. It will popup with more options.

We are using a popular forum software for all this, and perhaps their latest version has easier access to smiles, will have to research it.
