Raver Meets Punk Rocker - scene thread

Mikeyank, I am in complete agreement with you about the boys you mentions and the Eye Test. I call it the "Smell Test". We have heard many stories here about a model's past employment, gay/straight, boys/girls, marital situation. Some of it passes the Eye and the Smell, much of it doesn't. Ben I believe, James I don't, and Grey I don't. If I watched his interviews and scene with the sound off I would say he is gay without a doubt. He neither looks, acts, sounds, even the slightest straight to me. But in the end its smoke and mirrors and believe whatever floats your boat.
Thanks for saying that SFPS01, as it is good to know that I am not the only one on the forum who sees it that way. And the "eye" and "smell" test is actually another way to put my favorite term to describe models of being "believably straight". Ben does come across as such to me, while James and Grey do not. You can give me a mountain of evidence proving that they are straight but my own perception tells me otherwise.

Not that anyone asked me, but considering the new Gino thread? I don’t believe anything we’re told anymore. LOL. I believe the truth is stretched here, and I don’t necessarily blame management.

Wow, love Rowan and his big dick hard nipples, he can top and bottom. Grey looks like he will give Richie a run for his money on blow jobs. Enjoyed the scene, good job by both models, the cum shot got messed up in editing?

In his initial interview Grey did refer to his "oral talents." That kid can really suck cock and gives his partner lots of tongue action during the blow. Grey took it up the butt like a champ as well!

I doubt seriously that Grey's self proclaimed (and proven in his scene here) oral talents were developed in just a few encounters with guys. He may have been born with that talent, but my nose tells me otherwise. I also doubt that he has had intercourse with 100's of women. I realize that times have changed with the younger generation, but I just don't find his claims to be realistic in any way. He just doesn't come across masculine enough to be that attractive to the opposite sex. His attractiveness is his oral skills and a smallish smooth body that needs to be fucked silly. And since it was previously mentioned, I will say the same about James. He loves a hot dick up his ass way too much to claim he is only straight. And it is obvious that he does love it.

I think that both Grey and James are bi (indeed Grey does not claim to be straight and admits being bi). Since this is a gay porn site, we are only seeing then getting it on with other guys and not with the opposite sex. And how do you explain James' live in girlfriend? And what about former Broke Straight Boys model Ben Dover, who, like James, preferred to bottom, and, like James, had a live in girlfriend (who is now his wife and the mother of his child)? I respectfully suggest that we try to be less judgmental and more appreciative of the great sexual shows these hot young are putting on for our viewing pleasure.

Frankly I don't think I am being judgmental, I am expressing my opinion. I stated earlier that I believe Ben Dover. I just don't happen to believe James and Grey. All of these boys who appear on sites like this are being paid for their work. Its up to them to "sell the product". As far as "we try to be less judgmental and more appreciative of the great sexual shows these hot young are putting on for our viewing pleasure." I would add to that "our paid for viewing pleasure". Its not for free folks.

Speaking for myself I joined and pay for this site for at least the illusion of watching straight boys experiencing gay sex for money, and then often being surprised discovering how good it feels. But when they appear to be gay to my eyes, it is a “boner killer” to the fantasy I came here to watch. Obviously there is nothing wrong or even negative about being gay. I am as gay as one can be, never having any desire to be in any way sexual with a female.

But my fantasy and fetish is watching at least believably straight guys to my sensibilities and unfortunately, my thrills here are few and far between in seeing those kind of guys and watching that kind of porn here. Casting no aspersions on the guys here to make money for being gay. Just not fulfilling my fantasies the way the many of the boys of the past did.

This debate over whether someone is really one thing or another always muses me. I, like mikeyank, have always had a very specific preference for young men of a certain appearance who engaged in gay sex but were straight. Of course, I have no way of knowing if any of those guys were truly "straight", I just reacted to the persona and for all I know, they went off to see other guys who tossed their legs in the air and pumped them like they were paying for it.

That said, a few observations. Over the years I have represented a number of working boys on a variety of charges related to their careers. There were two I represented a number of times with whom I have stayed in contact over time. Both of them stated they were heterosexual when they were working but both bottomed regularly. They did this for two reasons according to the two of them. First, they were very masculine and straight appearing street guys and it excited gay men who had fantasies of fucking a straight boy. This meant they could barter away their virginity a number of times and at higher prices than other sex acts would bring in. It also according to one of them meant a faster turnaround time because most all the guys who wanted to screw him were so excited about the idea, they came very quickly. The second main reason why they did these, was that having sex with men was not really super exciting to either of them. It was harder to get hard and stay hard so it took longer and time is money.

The other issue that exists s a simple one. This is not a black and white issue. It is a spectrum. Kinsey proposed that years ago and everything I have seen since then seems to support it. I have spoken to a lot of younger guys. First, for most of them, they really do not make a big deal out of the gay/straight dichotomy. It is irrelevant to them and many of them [not all] admit that they have fooled around on occasion. Some more often than others. Most said it was fun but not as much fun as women. Then there are those who say right up front that they like sex with both women and men. They might prefer one slightly more than the other or not, but they enjoy sex with both. The stigmas that existed in my youth in the 50s and 60s no longer are as strong. That's a good thing. They needed to go.

But they also mean that the young men willing to go into this line of work now are quite different than the boys were back when the Athletic Guild or Old Reliable were pumping out the photos and film clips.

As you really nailed it with that post, I am in complete agreement. I myself evolved from straight in high school and college to bi in my mid twenties to gay thereafter, so clearly I am in the middle of that Kinsey Scale, starting on one side of the middle and ending up on the other side of the middle. While things are changing for the better, an argument can be made that bisexuals have had it the worst, being looked down upon by both straights and gays (not all but many).

Fair enough, and I know we agree that sexual attraction is an individual subjective thing. You previously made another point with which I further agree that, after doing a few gay porn scenes, even a totally straight guy becomes at least a little bit bi. The Kinsey Scale was very good at analyzing the divide amongst the straights themselves, i.e. the extreme end of the straight side of the scale is a guy repelled by the thought of even touching another dude, so he would never ever do a gay porn scene at all (as well as never go out for high school or college wrestling!). So your ideal straight guys are different from the extreme end in that they are straights having their very first sex with another dude for the money, but they are not repelled by it either.

You are absolutely correct that you are entitled to your opinion, and that we have all paid for our memberships. When I see a new model, I tend to believe what he says, which sometimes is the case and sometimes is not. The point I was trying to make is that we only see their scenes with other dudes here as this is a gay porn site. Another gay porn site which I shall not name has a sister site called "Straight Guys Fucking", where they pair their straight and bi models with either their girlfriends or other random females and films their resulting straight sex scenes. That sister site results in the membership having a bigger sample of the models' work in both straight and gay scenes, and thereby coming to a more fully informed decision as to whether the members think that a model is gay, bi or straight.

Just curious as to your gaydar opinion of James Dawn, the 20 year old Broke Straight Boys gay for pay model who lives with and fucks daily his girlfriend and bottoms in all of his gay for pay scenes. Does your gaydar rate him as gay or straight gay for pay? I ask as I see similarities between Grey, James and Benjamin Dover.

kg - my gaydar always had James Dawn as gay despite what he says, who he lives with or fucks outside work. Not only because of his mannerisms, but also my 'dar is informed by my experience and the experience of so many I know. I was hetero married for 22 years and produced three children. My situation was complicated by the fact that my wife and I are soulmates. It took me 14 years to finally make it through the closet door. So even in today's much freer climate, there will always be those who for whatever reasons need to live or tell people they live as a straight man. Those 14 years of my life the longer they went on became more fraught with dismay and pain and when I finally came out people I love deeply were hurt. And I hope the younger generations find a way to avoid such situations.

We as the gay community have come a long way, but do keep in mind although we have come a long way...people still can't accept homosexuality and there is still a huge stigma out there regarding homosexuality.

I do try to believe what the models say in their initial interviews, but I’ve been burned a few times over the last 5 years that I am very skeptical. We’re encouraged to comment on the forum, but it can be embarrassing when you comment based on what you’ve been told and then find out later it was all bullshit. It makes me feel foolish and naive. It makes me feel like I’m being laughed at by either the model or even someone in management for being so gullible. That’s not really a nice feeling to have.
Some of you may know that recently Sidney Powell, a former Trump Lawyer, was sued by Dominion voting systems for lying about the election being a fraud. She’s being sued for over a billion dollars. Her response in court was, “no reasonable person would accept anything she said as facts”. That’s kinda where I am with these new models...lol. I need to be more reasonable.

Had you read my post carefully, you would have seen the sentence I have highlighted here, which speaks to the issue of which you ask to be mindful. Having gone through what I went through, and through my volunteer efforts with gay youth over the years since I came out, the real world is ever present to me.

Very enlightening stowe1 and I suspect your gaydar is probably 95% accurate. I have known many gay guys who spent considerable time tuning up their gaydar. Stowe I hope that you have found love and acceptance in your life.

Interesting and informative prospective Juanjo. I know that one mold doesn't fit all.

Going back to the scene itself, six days after its release, this scene has a rating of 4.51 out of a possible five. That is a sensational rating for the pairing of a relatively new model (Rowan) and a Broke Straight Boys debut model (Grey). So, taking a step back from the sexual orientation and gaydar discussions and speculations, the overall Broke Straight Boys membership loves this scene. This is not the first time there has been a disconnect between the members who post on the Forum and the members who post scene comments. I suspect that this may be a reason why Mark the owner in the last day or two posted a "Comment, comment, comment" post for scene comments. I for one try to do both scene comments and Forum posts, but I suspect that I may be in the minority in doing that as evidenced by Mark's recent post.
