Good question! My father is very anti-gay and he always made that very clear so naturally I was to and thats how I grew up. To this day my father wont talk to me because of my involvment with Broke Straight Boys My whole perspective changed as I got older and grew up and out of my fathers shadow. I love people and life is to short to judge someone because of their way of life. When I started working for Broke Straight Boys I was exposed to a whole new world and some of the greatest people I have ever met! I think that no one has a right to judge anybody and really there is no reason to! If you go around judging people then you are going to miss out on a lot of life and great people. Life is to serious to be taken seriously!

I got along great with Jimmy on scene and off scene. He was a great guy to work with and a great coach as far as he could be. Off camera we would hang out alot together and play madden or other video games. He was funny as hell and actually very intelligent! I know some people butted heads with him but I personally thought he was awesome!

1) My favorite food would have to be a tie between chicken or fruit! All kinds!! My least favorite food by far is mushrooms! Barf!! (unless they are the trippy ones! )
2) I drive a Honda civic because I commute but I would love to drive a sting ray!
3) I have a pitbull/boxer mix, two cats, a ball pyathon, and Nikki has a small jack russle/boston terrier/chihuahua dog. Their names in order are Bruno, Lilly, Diablo, Buddha, and Lola.

Dear Colin,

Having grown up with "homophobic" bigotry offering little hope for others to want to improve, surely there has to be some reason for you being so positive and open? Without naming proper names, who has been your major inspiration in life, allowing you to become the questioning and tolerant person you represent currently. I am so pleased to observe your ability to be accepting of differences in others and treating them with all the respect due them. Regardless of individual differences, are we not all God's children?

Obviously, you have "strength of character" in your core being. Perhaps your father has never allowed himself to even dream of. I love your naturally loving perspective applied to others. Thank God, you were creative enough "to think outside the box" It has granted yourself the freeing exhilaration of finding better uses of your psychic energy to love others, rather than concentrating on the limiting negative issues and prejudices your father fell for!

Your words are so kind and dear to my heart thank you so much for this post! It does my heart so good to hear things like this! I have kinda a unique story on who I looked up to growing up that helped me shape my values. I spent alot of time by my self and in reformatories growing up and I never had one person to look up to. Its weird to say but I read ALOT of books and studied the bible. Thats kinda how I became the person that I am and always living by my life motto; "Life is too serious to be taken seriously". I had alot of time for inner reflection and studied meditation for a long time and once I was able to come to peace with my self everything just got that much easier. Does this answer make sense?

1) The first real job I did where I got a weekly paycheck was construction when I was 12 years old. All my family is in the trades so I learned how to swing a hammer very young. I didnt do hard core construction but I helped where I was able to and my father paid me hourly.
2) My favorite subject in school was Language arts and American history. My least favorite was math!! even though im good at it. lol
3) My favorite color is green.
4) My lucky number has always been 23.
5) My favorite actress would be Rachel Mcadams or Jessica beal beacause they are fine as fuck!! lol My favorite actor is hands down Robin Williams!
6) In 25 years from now I see my self finally being successful and wise enough to raise the most beautiful and amazing chilldren/adults!
7) I do play the lottery every once in a great while and if I won I will be honost. I would retire from all work (who wouldnt?) but i dont know if I could ever just up and leave the people I work with at Broke Straight Boys!
