Ponderings for April 16th 2022

So I was out driving and running some errands, and I saw this jogger on the side of the road. After doing a double take, it was the asshole from Grindr that was making fun of my body saying I shouldn't be showing it. What a small world, I hadn't thought about this for over a year as I've been off Grindr since April of last year. Kind of bummed me out bringing up all those memories of being tormented through school for my fat body. I have a reasonably thick skin, but damn it still hurts occasionally.
You should have run him over Chac. lol. I guess not that but some people are just fucking cruel and deserve bad things to happen to them. I am sensitive as well and can still remember negative comments made to me and about me from many years ago and they still hurt when I think about them. It sucks that people can be that insensitive and cruel. Hopefully karma will fuck them over in some way at some point in their lives too.

Whelp it's been a coons age since I posted here, and nearly 3 years since starting this thread. Today was a good day I guess, I had to go for my first full body skin check up at the dermatologist. I was already as nervous as could be and this hot 20 something gentleman walks out of the office and while he's chatting with the receptionist getting his next appointment scheduled he's absent-mindedly standing there constantly adjusting himself while in Gray sweatpants. FML 😭. Figures that my nurse practitioner is a smoking hot guy and I'm going to be naked in front of him and the nurse LOL I was thinking of horrible things to not get a boner 🤣

Hope everyone's day has been awesome!
How long is a coons age? As in raccoon? Fascinating.

I've never been to a dermatologist at all. Is this a common thing?

I go to the dermatologist yearly for a full body scan. He once found a pre-cancerous growth on my face, and on my most recent visit removed a small growth on my nose which was non-malignant. It is included with my health plan for a $20 co-payment so I feel it is a wise preventative thing to do if the cost is not prohibitive, depending on your coverage.

And I did a quick google search and this is the AI answer to your first question, Treb.

“A coon's age" is an informal American English expression that means a very long time. It's similar to saying "a long time," "forever," or "an eon," according to Collins Dictionary and Merriam-Webster.

The phrase likely originated from a misunderstanding about the lifespan of raccoons, which are often referred to as "coons".While raccoons in the wild typically only live for a few years, the expression suggests a period of time that's longer than their usual lifespan. “
