Goddammit. Just as I start to come out of my shell another fucking thing to make me hold off on sex. Turned 40, said this is going to be my year, then 2 years of COVID happened, and now drumroll please... monkeypox! I'm so frustrated! I think I will end up dying a virgin I'll be 43 in a few months, and never even had a first kiss. How pathetic is that??!!

I feel for you Chac. This monkeypox thing has once again thrown a “monkey wrench”, (no pun intended) into guys hooking up. When I got my first iPad five or so years ago, I had my friend download Grindr onto it. I have no pic and a one line non descript profile. I have no intention of trying to meet anyone and I think I actually responded to one message the whole time. Being the voyeur that I am, I am just curious to see who is close by to me and maybe see a shirtless pic.

But I’ve been thinking lately, how can anyone take a chance for a random hook up with this being prevalent in the gay community and especially in New York City? I guess this is one advantage for me being older and not looking to “date”.

I have often said I live in near total physical isolation and am content with this arrangement. Why is that well aside from emails & the phone I have found my true home, the Forum. I have wonderful friends and as long as I know they are happy and healthy that makes me pleased.

I know that really sucks Chac. I was in a similar state of mind thinking that this summer and fall could be a time when I could re-start my sex life again. Assuming of course that Covid was kept mostly at bay with vaccines and all. But now this. Unless or until I can get a MP vaccine...with this year it's still another game of Russian roulette.

I wanted to share a dream I woke up from an hour or two ago before I checked the forum and went into the “Broke Straight Boys Rabbit Hole” of searching models and scenes and behind the scenes from years ago. I was in a hotel room in my dream, and a really cute young guy came into the room with fresh towels and I was admiring his body through his white t shirt and he noticed me admiring him. He asked if I wanted him to being me coffee to my room as breakfast was over. I didn’t really want coffee, but I wanted him and said yes. Of course I woke up and never found out if he showed up with the “coffee”, but it got me in the mood to watch this week’s throwback scene and my search of Scott in our archives. Just me pondering about my dream on this Thursday morning in August of 2022.

Now on to Morning Joe and the rest of my day!

Yeah I have those dreams too, usually I wake up and have tears in my eyes and feel sad for some reason. Like I was just making out with this hot guy and poof, time to wake up, {And why am I sad??!!} I'm not usually a crying kind of guy, it takes a lot to get the waterworks going.

I don’t remember on which thread you mentioned that you are a YouTube Premium member. I find myself watching more YouTube, other than Yankee games than anything else, and being semi-retired, only working two days a week, I spend a lot of time in my recliner watching my big screen TV. My attitude had been why pay $11.99 a month for something that I can get for free as I sit with my remote on the table next to my chair, to skip ads after 10 to 30 seconds. But I kept thinking about what you said and I took the plunge this morning. It occurred to me that $11.99 a month is less than .40 a day, and what am I saving my money for? These are my “golden years”, and I sure spend a lot more than .40 a day on things that give me a lot less pleasure. I just signed up and in a little while I will go into my living room and turn on the big TV and enjoy watching without constantly fidgeting with my remote.

Glad you are enjoying! I made a similar choice, my time is worth more than those annoying ads, so I'll pony up for the ad free versions (as long as it is not absurdly priced). I just signed up yesterday so I have to explore it to discover these added benefits. It made a big difference yesterday just watching it without the annoying ads, some a few seconds and some longer. And it is easier to get lost in one video leading into another, as in the past there is usually a commercial and I just go back to where I started. Now I just sit back and enjoy.

I did just watch the Cobra Kai preview and indeed there are some hot shirtless guys there. I’d appreciate a list of shows including on Netflix and Prime that feature hot young guys shirtless. I am weird that I get more turned on by watching that than most porn. Seeing real looking guys is so much hotter for me than porn guys who get naked to fuck. That's why classic Broke Straight Boys was always my go to porn site as the back stories make them seem real and I love being a voyeur watching real guys who I might see in “real life”, including the “believably straight guys” doing it.

Hot young guys is my main driving force and I think about them much of my waking hours, (and apparently in my sleeping hours too based on the dream I woke up from the other morning, that I described on this thread). When I go out in the morning my eyes are scanning the streets for hotties. When I go to the subway station, I do the same.

I’m not thinking about hot guys 100% of the time, but well over 75%, I’d say. And whereas most gay guys I know watch porn quite a bit, but standard gay porn with naked guys having penetrative sex doesn’t really interest me. But a cute guy getting shirtless like in TikTok or YouTube videos or a movie or series can really turn me on. I am being as honest as I can here. I love the freedom that this forum gives me to be my genuine self here, something I can’t do in other parts of my life.
