I'm so happy to see new members coming on to the forum, and older ones starting to post
more. I have turned on 5 of my friends to this site, but none have joined as of yet. Not much
going on in the "emerald city" just the weather went from 75 summer to well it's 40 right now
and feels like winter. Snowing in our mtns already, man no transition at all we completely skipped
fall. Whats up with everyone?:anyone:

hi peter! for days it was in the 90's, then suddenly it was in the 50's.
i joke to a friend that that is how we get our average 70 degree weather.
seems generally all i get here is early fall or late spring.
i think i like having weather to talk about.
something different from sex and politics! not enough of one and too much of the other.

Well, peter, here in the 'Burgh we've actually had an Autumn. After a wretchedly hot and humid Summer that went into mid-September, I was resigned to not having an Autumn. But 'lo and behold we have had one. Comfortable days for the most part and cool nights. This week we are having what we haven't in a few years, what use to be a typical Indian (or to be politically correct, I guess, Native American) Summer. Highs in the mid to upper 70's during the days but cool at nights. But by the weekend, the cold front moves through and we get closer to normal late Fall weather.

As for the Winter, who knows. The last two years we have had mild ones; in fact, last Winter was the mildest on record. And very little snow. They had forecasted colder and wetter than usual. Watch, this Winter they will forecast milder and drier, and it will be colder and wetter. I prefer the latter myself.

PS- I was in Seattle in the early 70s for business, loved it then and it's only gotten better from what I have read, pictures I've seen, and testimonials from friends who have been there since my sojourn.

PPS- I have a cousin who lives in Kent.

Here in the UK we don't appear to have seasons anymore - apart from on paper. All the global warming has fucked up our weather big style. The only season bit that's the same is that the nights are closing in fast and with us going back to GMT next Sunday then it will be dark at 6pm or earlier.

Well, here in Tassie our temperate climate thoughtfully gives us four distinct seasons...just when you're getting fed up with one the next one comes along. We have six months off daylight savings and six months on which began a couple of weeks ago. Soooooo I'm looking forward to sun, fun and laid back, unplanned barbecues with family and friends! :thumbup1:

Thats right it is spring there now. Damn you have summer coming (lucky girl) and at least in Seattle we are looking forward to rain for the next 4-5 months and chilly. Time for a visit "down Under".

How about visiting down under, down under and then you could hang out with me here...

This is my favorite beach. Sharks spook me a bit so I stick to the sand, but you can walk for miles...

Aren't there any lil critters that live in the sand ready to jump out and bite you ?

Not in the sand, but I could tell you few spine tingling stories of huge 'March Flies' that hang around beach areas ready to sting naked flesh...and they chase you!

I can imagine a bunch of gays having a BBQ on the beach then being attacked by the March Flies. All those queens running in all directions screaming madly with their hands in the air. LOL such drama lol x

There are certain questions in life Robert, that I try not to ask or have the capacity to understand the answers to, like what is the meaning of life?, is there an after life? and what those stats on the site regarding active members, etc. really mean.

I leave questions like that for greater minds than mine to contemplate, and figure out.:001_unsure:

You understand the meaning of life Mike

There are certain questions in life Robert, that I try not to ask or have the capacity to understand the answers to, like what is the meaning of life?, is there an after life? and what those stats on the site regarding active members, etc. really mean.

I leave questions like that for greater minds than mine to contemplate, and figure out.:001_unsure:

The meaning of life is an easy one. Strike a match, watch the little flame. Now light a torch with your match, next you light another one hundred torches with that... You can burn down the city of Rome with a single match! Life... is energy, we are pure energy! Energy and matter are the same... E = mc²

All life on earth is one. And there is a mathematical law that's called the law of Coservation of energy. That law of nature says that the total amount of energy in an isolated system remains constant over time. The total energy is said to be conserved over time. For an isolated system, our universe, this law means that energy can change its location within the system, and that it can change form within the system, for instance chemical energy can become kinetic energy, but that energy can be neither created nor destroyed.
check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation_of_energy

The meaning of life is to become positive; opposite to negative. Yet somehow we people prefer to choose being right, over being happy.

What are you suggesting here Mike... that Tampa invited those 2500 members to celebrate his birthday to go trick or treating with him?
