This idiot is exactly why stuff like Orlando happens. This ass is supposed to be a minister of god's word? Give me a damn break, he is nothing more than an instagater for violence. What a fucking idiot.
Even though this thread is posted on the wrong side, it does bring up some important points. I saw an interview today with Orlando city officials where they brought up the rather obvious fact that there would be many funerals coming up soon. They spoke of the need to respect the privacy of the families as they grieve. At first I thought they were saying nobody in the general public should attend any of the funerals. I found that somewhat odd. I thought about the fact that some people who were not directly related to the deceased might still want to go to pay their respects. But yes. The immediate family and loved ones would want some privacy at a funeral. But then the person reiterated the need to show "respect" for the families. Then it hit me. I got it.
Even though most of these city officials are not gay themselves, they have been warned by national gay organizations and probably national law enforcement that many hate groups are likely to arrive in the city and try to stir up trouble. No doubt the late "Reverend" Phelp's Westboro Baptist church will be there to picket at the funerals. They'll hold their usual placards saying that the victims are all rotting in hell, that God hates fags, and so on. But some other hate groups and supposed Christian churches could also be there to protest the funerals, harass the families, partners, spouses, etc, and otherwise try to promote their hateful beliefs to a national and international audience. Hopefully law enforcement will be prepared to protect the family members and the law-abiding public from any violence. I'm sure Orlando law enforcement is hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.
