My best friend died last Sunday and it is very hard for me to accept. I joined this site and then this forum because I have a fetish for young straight guys having gay sex. I did not join to find friends or eventually a friend who I spoke to at least once every day for the last four years, but it happened, and now he is gone and I miss him very much.
We were such different people, him being an openly gay guy from San Francisco, out to everyone including his parents from his early teen years, while I always kept my sexuality private except with close friends and eventually my family. But as Peter mentioned, we all met on this forum, and began to message one another and eventually exchanged phone numbers and that started an unexpected friendship, but a very important one. Things really took off when Peter came to New York in the fall of 2014 and we shared every day of our adventure on the forum in pictures and commentary, and Johnny was a huge part of that thread and our adventure, as Peter and I would call Johnny every night and tell him how much we wished he could of joined us here.
But Johnny had a very bad back, which prevented him from walking any distances, and it was that bad back which he'd intended to have operated on, which lead to his discovering his heart trouble. And then the open heart bypass surgery which weakened him further and then the end came last Sunday.....
At the beginning he would tell me that he was afraid to post much as he was not a good writer, and how he left school early to go to beauty school. But I told him that even if he didn't spell everything correctly, and if he didn't get his lines straight, that he was a terrific writer, as writing is the art of communicating and no one on this forum was better at expressing his thoughts and feelings in few words, better than sweet Johnny.
He eventually made 6174 posts, and the last of which came last Friday. He told me how much he liked the new kid Axel, and I told him to make a post. He told me that he didn't feel like posting much anymore, but I told him that he should say something to let everyone know he was still on the forum. And he did make his final post on Friday April 20th.
