Just thinking out loud...
Dear fellow contributors,
"What we have here is a failure (by the director) to communicate" getting so hungup on negotiating for $20 and up.
This is a major distraction and turn-off as others have indicated. What we need is to learn something about each model to develop an interest in them.
Then, we need the bulk of the episode 75-80% where each of the models are nude and doing something sexual and expanding their limits.
Having a model make a great deal about their fears of compromising their masculine qualities has to be a MAJOR TURN-OFF, as much of the paying audience considers themself decidedly "masculine" too, like me.
I have yet to look at the upcuming scenes mentioned by Mikeyank, but so far, I am not happy with what I have experienced with all of the constant negotiations over "chump change" as if these guys are some "heroine-addicted back-alley whore" turning a trick for some lousy half-eaten and cold burger. We need some willing and eager models getting down to the business at hand, mouth, or ass, as the case may be! I realize it might take a little more time to have a "well-lubricated" production team, but there are limits to our patience and forbearance. Afterall, this change has been in the planning stages for more than 6 months and we have endured months of the "bottom of the barrel" episodes leading to the New Broke Straight Boys It won't take much of this type of production before we begin feeling treated just like the "back-alley whore" mentioned previously. We really need a break here as consumers.
We need some quality and creative work for a change that gets one's juices flowing!

I totally agree with you. Jimmy can go back across the bridge where he came from.Everything was fuck no & how much more money. I guess though with the measly payouts that was the reason for the change that Mark had to get the budget way down.Slink & Rocco were into it & that is the way it should continue but handing out money for some reason I'm not into in front of the camera. Call me old fashioned I guess. It was better with the camera but still at times it was shaky so that cameraman needs to take a couple Xanax before he films or have someone else with a steady hand & better anticipation with angles. People are saying the clarity is better but frankly I don't notice a great diff. from high def. The reason is there that it is now streaming but that was a bother to me too because my laptop couldn't get it wirelessy (Yes it does state that disclaimer) & so I downloaded it but didn't watch it til today on my desktop. And I liked the old way where if they got hard they would doff the shorts but 1 had trouble keeping up even though it looked like he was hard enough so all the three could take it off the same time. And I much liked David's calm assuring voice so I guess I'll continue with the subscription for now to give them a chance to polish things. But bring back smooth guys that power fuck like Jordan & RIP Mike R. The last 3some with Mikey was quite good I must say but didn't go on the thread.

Jimmy? Again? I liked the whole limp dick thing the first time, but I hope this ain't gonna be a continuous repeat performance. Rocco and Slink, HOT! Hope to see you both in the future! Well.... Let's see. I want to start off by saying that I do have high hopes with the new site and the new format. So any constructive criticism I may have for this particular scene doesn't mean that I disapprove of Broke Straight Boys going in a new direction. The vintage Broke Straight Boys had gotten way too predictable. Even though it was a winning formula for many years, one still had the feeling that it needed some fresh air. So I'm very enthusiastic about where the new team will take us.
That said, I was not very impressed with this scene. Since we know there is not a 6 month backlog of content then hopefully some of our input might be useful in the short term as well as the long term. I know that many of us who love the site and the forum, as I do, want to be restrained in any criticism. It's no secret in here that I hold Mark, Steve and Chuck in very high esteem. I want their business to flourish so that they continue to have a strong business that will provide them with all the means to chase their version of the American Dream.
This new team is not taking over for a bonus site. This is a successful flagship site. So all of us want it to be a ready for prime time operation. The new team is in the uneviable postion of having to jump in cold and continue the magic. They are naturally trying to get their footing at the beginning like this.
Here's some things that need some tweeking in my opinion. Some of you guys have already touched on the fact that there is too much time taken negotiating. It was very annoying to have Jimmy go on and on about whether he would kiss or not. And we are never sure if it is all an act anyway. But after what felt like 15 minutes of my life being stolen, Jimmy finally says no. We generally want to see the straightest guy in the room doing a kiss. In this case Jimmy. He put on airs of being surprised at the end of all of this boring negotiation that an 80 second to 2 minute kiss for $100-$150 would mean "with tongue". As opposed to what? Two minutes of lip contact, or 40 pecks on the lips? Once he feigned shock at this, he used this rather lame and conjured up excuse to back out. If the director and staff know the setup of the scene going in, please don't let them waste our time and get our hopes up with a whole lot of nonsense. And certainly please don't let playful or fake negotiations drag out for more than 20 seconds, max. Edit it down if you must.
I myself wanted Jimmy to kiss Rocco. The kissing between Slink and Rocco was not as hot. Though I DO applaud the new staff for throwing kissing into the mix. Kudos to you guys for that! I hope we continue to see more kissing. Especially with the straighter guys.
Rocco comes across as bi. Slink somewhere between straight and bicurious. Jimmy seems very straight...which I love. Also, I for one DO like the new director's voice.
Through more editing or directing or both there has to be more flow to the scene. All the starting and stopping to chat about money or what they are going to do next leaves the models' hardons flagging and all hotness evaporates. I don't want to see the new Broke Straight Boys follow the same script as the old. I do want a different style. I was amazed that Rocco managed to keep his hardon the whole time. He did a good job of getting through some very slow points.
The other thing I wanted to mention was Rocco's hair. Being a Scorpio it's very important to me to see the guy's eyes. It was very weird that he was allowed to go through the whole scene without his eyes showing...and then for a few still photos they decided that maybe it was best if he pulled the hair out of his eyes. He reminded me at times of Cousin It from The Addams Family. haha
As I mentioned a long time ago in the forum, if they are going to put time and effort into applying makeup to the models, covering up blemishes etc...so that they look as good as possible on camera...don't let them go on with hair that looks like a mop. At the time I was referring mostly to models like CJ and Tank Shane. Please give them a cheapy disposable comb if necessary. Let us see their eyes and their face. I like the occassional shaggy haired guy too. But within reason. Rocco has very a handsome face once you can see his eyes and some forehead. I do see in the coming attractions that his hair is pulled away from his eyes.

Wow you guys need glasses.. Jimmy is the hottest one.. so fine and so straight acting. I love these new episodes.. it is starting out slow, but realistically do you think most "straight" guys want to jump into fucking a guy? Also the cameraman has a sexy voice.

From how slow and buggy the site is this afternoon, I bet the servers are getting slammed with people wanting to see the new Broke Straight Boys By that standard alone, the change is successful. Keep it up, Mark.
As for my opinion, I find I agree with many of the negative ones, and a few of the positive ones, as well - Rocco!, but I will withhold further comments. I've been to too many new restaurants where the service sucked the first month. I bet the production crew is as interested in this thread as anyone. They have to put on a Broadway show without the benefit of working out the kinks while on the road.

OK... what a disappointment... Jimmy was the only redeeming factor in the scene. the other two guys looked and acted like street trash. I am just not into that. The one with the long hair was just repulsive... give that boy a bath. I really wanted to like this! Just keep trying. Atleast I still like the bonus sites on here.
