What I appreciated about your discourse was the logical manner you used to present your arguments. (Yes, I am drawn to people who are intelligent and use logic well.) If I were to look back at the time I first decided to subscribe, it was because of models like Tyler, Anthony/Michael, Jaime, Sean (whoa cowboy!). [sorry, MsK, Jimmie and Diesal came a lot later!] There was definitely a likeability factor, a certain masculine air, and an interaction that didn't seem quite so contrived. Even if a scene include someone I liked, if the pairing was likely to include someone less than likeable and the rating was low, I knew it wouldn't be worth my time to view the video.

Were I to be a first-time viewer with the current videos, it's highly unlikely I would have any inclination to subscribe, let alone 'give it time.' Mark has leveraged his business on the goodwill of the old timers, because we are willing to give his 'rebranding' the benefit of the doubt. If anything, the entertainment value of the forum--for the most part, when devoid of self-aggrandizing or arrogant posts--is enough to keep me connected. Do we, or should we really care about the process they follow to get a scene off the ground?

Are things becoming so disastrous that we're now resorting to grasping at straws?

It seems to me that considerably more thought and effort should go into the meat of the scene. Not the haggling or negotiating, but more along the lines of the *sex*. After all, isn't that the fundamental reason why most of us joined?

Personally I couldn't care less how much haggling and negotiating goes on, other than the shorter and briefer the better. I never watch that part anyway, I always fast forward to them getting naked and watching them have sex.

But if a scene is one-sided, lacks passion, a connection and/or chemistry between the guys, that translates through the camera and over to the viewers.

On one hand, the lack of a connection and passion seems to appeal to the members who love seeing totally straight guys. But on the other hand, different members find that boring, unexciting, and dull.

Personally, I have to see kissing...at least occasionally. Not all the time, because then it just becomes boring too. And being told to kiss on cue doesn't even count, because then it just becomes another a la carte item. But an occasional scene where the guys connect, and let a kissing session slip in during foreplay and/or fucking can bered hot!

But at the rate things are going now, it'll be a year and a half and 50 more new models before anyone is going to see any unprompted kissing go on.

There are various aspects to some of the more member-favorited scenes from days past, that I will try to focus on and present as I see them.

1. Alden and Jamie

It seems to me that for all the carping people did about David and the previous models, they want the new administration to be the same as the old. I always enjoyed David's work and most of the models but I am also enjoying the newer models and format. The complaint about them acting like "hustlers" was amusing and resulted in a big duhhh from me.
