Jimmy and Matt Worst scene ever

I will start off by saying that I think alot of the inane chatter and negotiating could and should have been left on the proverbial editing room floor. The scene would have flowed much better without a good 6-10 minutes of it. We do want a reality site instead of a glossy studio production with nothing but sex acts. But this scene ran too long on the banter and the sex got lost in the jumble.

I didn't find Matthew's behavior to be exploitative in this scene. I have not liked when he asked the guys to say things like, "I'll do anything for money." But here he was just trying to get a scene going. He was getting exasperated by Jimmy as you could hear him muttering a few choice words now and then. But what Matthew was doing here was not much different from what BJ did over on Straight Boys Jerk Off I find the flashing of cash and the bargaining with $20 here and there to be boring...but not offensive.

As others have said, we wanted change and we got change. I like that they are trying to get real straight guys in here. Please don't give up on that. I will wholeheartedly agree with others who talk about a work ethic. If a straight guy wants to sign up then he should do the job to the best of his abilities. A little reluctance and hesitation is understandable. But... When these guys apply to make some quick and substantial money they know they are not being asked to sell girl scout cookies. They know what time it is. Especially these guys lately who seem very street wise.

If once they get there they are not willing to do what they agreed to do when they wanted to be hired...then cut them loose. If a model is a 9 or 10 then maybe some more patience is in order. But otherwise no. By dragging their feet, kicking and screaming the whole way, they are just trying the director's patience, trying the paying viewers' patience, and dragging down scenes.

Since Jimmy is doing the Blu event circuit that probably means he will be around for a while. Hopefully by meeting more gay people and fans of the site he will get better in his performances. If he's given more scenes. The same goes for any other future models.

I still think Matthew is doing a good job. It will get better.

Personally, I like the new models. I was getting tired of the models before 2.0 and didn't watch most of the updates for a month or two before the switch. As much as I miss David, the models did nothing for me there toward the end, so the reboot was refreshing in that regard.

That said, my overall impression of 2.0 so far is that, while the models are much hotter, there's a little too much negotiating and not enough action. I can pretty much skip the first half to two-thirds of most of the updates. I like to see a little of that to set the stage. After all, to sell the fantasy, we have to believe these guys are at least reluctant. But too much of it gets old fast.

But even with that one critique, I expect that the new camera guy will come into his own as he gets a few more of these under his belt. Overall, I think the scenes could use a few minor tweaks, but that's all.

I think the title of this thread says it all...at least for me. I had looked forward with great anticipation to the new site and was really excited when the first episode appeared. It was not what I had expected or had hopes for. After a few more episodes, I voiced the opinion that we all had to hang in there and see where this new and better Broke Straight Boys site was going. All I can say is that it's been a huge disappointment so far. I'm going to hang in a little longer since Broke Straight Boys had been such a favorite for so long. Unfortunately, the highest rating I've given any shoot is a 2. Again, I ask management to go back to those scenes that got the 4.4 and 4.5 ratings on Broke Straight Boys 1 and perhaps see in those videos what it was that made them so popular.

You assume everybody watches Broke Straight Boys for the same reason you do. I think I speak for a certain number of members when I say the reason I like this site is that it is about guys who are innocent with regards to gay sex. To some this is an issue of dominance, making them do something they don't want, but to others it is introducing them to something they may actually enjoy. I think that is the tack David took, because at the end he'd make it a point of asking them how they felt, and they always said they enjoyed it, or at least it was "not bad". So this new approach, of manipulating "super-straight" guys with money is not really working for me. Strangely I find the models sexier, so I've learned to just turn off the sound. If it weren't for the bonus sites, though, I'd probably not be here.

What I see so far are too many cases where the viewer is insulted---directly. Imagine in the most recent scene the boys said. "wash the shame" and they were not talking about gay sex but instead, sex with a racial minority?

I would like to end on a positive note. I really appreciate the addition of the "Jeremy Hall" site to our bonus sites. That is the only "new" thing about Broke Straight Boys that I have left look forward to viewing now.

I realize that I am only one insignificant member, but if the current trend of Broke Straight Boys-2 continues much longer, I will not be hanging around much longer either. These scenes are completely aversive and unappealing. The new management team had months and months to get their act together and have failed. What we are being treated to doesn't even deserve to be considered amateurish! Just imagine what the new subscriber must be thinking with so little to appreciate.

If Broke Straight Boys was the way it is right now, I would never have joined some 13 months ago. There is nothing worthy of watching in the new episodes. I rated this a "1" when I voted. Other scenes I simply left in disgust and did not bother to even vote.

For all your loyal fans who were happy with the broader spectrum David produced, I think your old fans deserve better than this!!!!
